My daughter experienced stomach ache when she was first diabetic (type 1) also lost colour in her skin she looked pale a bit grey. We had no idea but once told she was diagnosed as diabetic we could see the symptoms and indicators were all there. When we saw the doctor he said go straight to hospital. She has coped really well with it since she was twelve and is now twenty-three and doing really well.
i wanted to put this to the test. i woke up and had 123 on my blood glucose. i exercised, showered, had 3 scrambled eggs (with sliced tomato, jalapeño and onion) with avocado and a small corn tortilla. i waited 2 hours, took my blood sugar test again and it dropped to 90. i’m so shocked. i’ve never had it anywhere below 109. thank you so much.
I dont have any of these symptoms but I'm not sure about blurred vision because I where glasses, but I also have a tingling feeling in my hands, fingers, and toes sometimes. Right now My big toe has a weird tingling feeling. Do any of you think I have diabetes?

My paternal grandfather passed away 6 years ago due to a heart disease (am unsure what kind but according to my father that’s what he said and that was all I needed to know). He did however tell me of a very important factor, which is the genetic and hereditary possibility of the both of us having diabetes in the future as my grandfather also had it as well. At one point in my life, I was VERY CLOSE to getting Type 1 Diabetes but thankfully, it dwindled down. Now that I’m 21, I’m definitely more cautious and observant of what I’m putting into my body as I was the kind of person that simply ate anything without a care in the world. Even if it is still considered young to be so deeply concerned for my health, my body will thank me for it later in life and that is something I won’t ever be ashamed of.
@@AlexAkanji I’m a huge carb lover but I’ve tried resisting to eat carbs for 3 meals a day. It was really painful in the beginning but it’s fine now. Diet’s a lot more balance and definitely practice portion control. Also started the habit of eating slower so that I’m more aware of what and how much I put in my body. But also not limiting myself too much if say I want the real thing. Just can’t indulge too much of it. Even started to not eat after 7pm on the weekdays. Because if I’m abroad, I’ll actually try to go vegan since it’s a whole lot more accessible there. But if it’s back home, then unfortunately there are certain things which will be too expensive for me to access so I try to find alternatives and variety. Sugar was again the other thing that was even harder to cut down. I think I had a sugar addiction at some point. It was so frustrating and I kept getting annoyed because the more I thought about sugar and how easily accessible it was, the more I wanted to give up. So I found a new hobby which was cycling and wow was it a game changer. Definitely made me thought about it less.
For people worrying about why they're having symptoms, I'll share my story. I had excessive thirst and excessive urination. (Polyuria/polydipsia). As a skinny 21 year old who doesn't even like sweet foods that much, no matter what I searched on the internet those symptoms were always a main indicator of diabetes. The doctors ruled out type 1 and I was very scared awaiting my blood test results but... It seemed like I had low potassium! Below normal potassium in your blood can cause your kidneys to function worse and not able to filter properly causing thirst and urination. It's still not a good thing of course but it was very similar to diabetic symptoms.
I also jave extreme thirst and urinate alot because if ot specially at night in day i dont feel that thirsty but i got a cut on my skin which actually healed normally and even tested my blood sugar (non fasting) after eating a bowl of pasta it came out 112 which is nornal but recently my skin on the mouth area has become very dry, i am also hypochondrian i am freaking out at 3:27 in the morning
@@zuhasajid900 Visit your doctor, a simple blood test will show everything! I totally understand where you're coming from, this was me 2 weeks ago! The internet doesn't help because as soon as you mention thirst, all it ever shows is diabetes. Usually symptoms only show up if you have uncontrolled diabetes because the body is making you pee to get rid of the excess build of sugar. Like you said, this build up would slow healing too. The fact that your blood sugar is no where near that level shows you are most likely thirsty for an entirely other reason. There are other signs of diabetes like tingly hands and feet, sweet smelling breath, rash on genitals etc...that I didn't have and I'm sure you don't either. I ended up having low Vit D (I have dark skin and live in a cold country, haven't been outside since everything became online) and low Potassium, which can cause thirst and urination but also stuff like muscle cramps and stiffness, random heart beating really hard etc... But the biggest thing for me is, I thought my thirst would never end. I felt thirsty day and night. I drank water and it never stopped but it's starting to go down now since I got my Vit D boosters and potassium. I still have a very dry mouth and flaky lips (it takes a while for the body to overcome deficiencies but it's improving). Anyway I rambled on for so long but my point is, get a blood test! It will show your glucose over the past 3 months because usually the finger prick isn't that accurate for diagnosing diabetes. I'm sure like me, your issue is a deficiency entirely elsewhere. Please don't worry :(
im experiencing the same symptoms and im a skinny 18 yr old girl. ive been really thirsty and urinate more than usual. these are the only symptoms tho so idk but im still really worried
I'm currently struggling with the fact that I may soon be prediabetic. I have diabetes in my family (my paternal grandfather had it) and I'm very worried about it. I had bloodwork done this last July, and my blood sugar levels were above average, but not to the point where I'd need to seek medical help. But, I've been feeling much more of the symptoms, and I'm concerned.. I'm just here to vent, that's all.

No, that is not "normal." Your body is trying to flush out the glucose in your bloodstream that it cannot process. Your pee is how that glucose comes out. You are drinking water because you're peeing so much- I'm not a doctor but the odds are showing you may have diabetes. Please see a doctor about this, because diabetes can absolutely be deadly if you don't treat it.

The key symptoms of diabetes can vary depending on the type but share common warning signs. Frequent urination, especially at night, excessive thirst, and unexplained hunger are primary indicators. Other common symptoms include unexplained weight loss, blurry vision, fatigue, and slow-healing sores. Type 1 diabetes symptoms typically develop rapidly over weeks, often accompanied by nausea and stomach pains. Type 2 diabetes symptoms develop gradually over years and may include tingling in hands or feet. Gestational diabetes usually shows no obvious symptoms but is tested for between weeks 24-28 of pregnancy. Early detection is crucial for preventing complications. Well all of these symptoms check out. No matter how much I eat I do not get fat... I always get thirsty and I pee often sometimes. There's also a burning sensation in my belly button while peeing occasionally

i pee frequently if i drink the prescribed 8 glasses of water. my pee turns clear really easily. i also have miopia. do i have diabetes or does my body simply require less water than the average person?
Your pee turns clear because of water Myopia doesn't have anything to do with diabetes, since it is an independently diagnosed illness and your eyes change when you're growing which can cause eye problems(like for me)

I'm not sure if anyone will respond to this, but I'd find it really helpful if someone could. I've experienced pretty much all the symptoms listed in this video over the course of previous months, so I cut out sweets from my diet about a month ago, and ever since then I haven't been experiencing any symptoms. So here are my questions: - - 1. Should I still be worried if I have diabetes? 2. a) Hypothetically, if the results would come back positive, could I still eat a lot of my favourite foods (even if they're sweets)? b) Would I still be able to lead a "normal" lifestyle? (In this sense, normal would mean being able to partake in sports, working out, dieting, travelling, doing everyday activities in general) Would me having diabetes take a major toll on my life overall? - - I hope these questions aren't bothersome, and I thank any person/all the people in advance who might answer my questions. I'm just really stressed/scared about this.

Hi there, increased overall hunger is a symptom of diabetes, but this alone might be down to something else. We'd suggest going to see a healthcare professional if you have any concerns 💙
Wondering if I have this. Doctors appointment coming up but still looking for answers. Anytime I drink or eat something sweet (mostly when I drink something sweet) literally anything but water it makes me feel weak, faint, and “out of it”. That’s the best way to explain it. I feel as if I’m always thirsty but yet I basically drink nothing but water because it’s the only thing that doesn’t make me feel weird. If I eat sweet things it happens as well but not as much as drinking something sweet. If I eat something sweet it’s like my body NEEDS/CRAVES water instead of milk or something else. I’ve stopped drinking sugary drinks for like 3 years now because it makes me feel terrible. Anybody have any clues or advice on if this sounds like diabetes?

Even if it is still considered young to be so deeply concerned for my health, my body will thank me for it later in life and that is something I won’t ever be ashamed of.
how's your diet
@@AlexAkanji
I’m a huge carb lover but I’ve tried resisting to eat carbs for 3 meals a day.
This is very responsible of you.
*You Did Not Choose To Be Classified As Diabetic, But You Can Choose To Fight Back Against Diabetes* 💪

Very informative video, the symptoms I have are tingling and slight numbness in my fingers and toes, itchy skin in random areas of my body, sweat breakouts, sores on my feet, feeling hungry more than usual, slight belly ache, constapation, body shaking and feeling weak at times. Im a 21 year old male who has irritable bowel syndrome and my dad has been diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic, I am currently trying to do online research about diabetes to find out if I should get tested for it or any other health conditions
Hi there, thank you for your message. If you ever have any inkling that you might have diabetes, we would recommend that you see a doctor and ask for a test. A test is the only way to know if you have developed diabetes or not 💙

What does it mean to be 41. I got test done from doctors and i was told to diabetes centre when i registered tgey called me and said i dont hv diabetes it has to be 42 so u dont hv ir. But i had a dizzy spell and ambulance came and they checked my sugar level and they said i didnt hv it either but results were lot different from doctors. What i want to know what is the one thing i can do to cure this before its too late?
This! I've been having this. Although the hand one, I've seen on a tiktok and everyone seems to have that random itching where we can't find the itch on the hand so we have to bite them, idk what that it but a lot of people seem to experience that. I've seem to also feel this feeling or cramp-like sensation on one of legs. Hopefully this ain't diabetes since it runs in my family.
@@milkyuuu6170 diabetes also runs in my family. the itching happens to my dad a lot and he has to bite it to go away. not sure if it’s a common thing but for the itching i get this like pain-itch thing that cause me to bite my fingers, since that’s where it itches all the time, but idk. i hope it goes away and you feel better btw :))

that seems like symptoms to something else.
Is it treatable? My symptoms are urinating ALOT nearly every hour, feeling tired, and a tingly finger tip as im typing this now but im not sure if it is diabetes because i also have iron deficiency and the symptoms are similar.
I wanna get checked up but i don’t want my parents to know about it lol as they are health geeks and i dont want the pressure, im finding myself an apartment soon.

Thanx UK. I find this all more believable than if it came from US sources.
The United States as a big problem with diabetes and that's not surprising really given their diet's .This issue as slowly becoming a UK problem and will continue until people start taking responsibility for with their diet's .Sugar is as addictive as heroin and just as deadly are it's effects on our bodies .
@Ashley Jones thanx Ashley. I'll give him a try.
I'm not sure if anyone will respond to this, but I'd find it really helpful if someone could. I've experienced pretty much all the symptoms listed in this video over the course of previous months, so I cut out sweets from my diet about a month ago, and ever since then I haven't been experiencing any symptoms. So here are my questions:
- -
- -
I hope these questions aren't bothersome, and I thank any person/all the people in advance who might answer my questions. I'm just really stressed/scared about this.
1. Yes
2. a) No
b) Probably
Hi Jack it seems like you're experiment with your diet as given you the answers to your problem sugar is the number 1 enemy and by cutting it out you already feel better. If your worried get checked out also many people can have type 2 diabetes without knowing it but making healthy choices now could make all the difference in you not getting the dreaded type 1 . I'm a pretty fit guy myself but I have been getting some symptoms myself especially the itching more noticeable after consuming too much sweet stuff but what the hell it's Xmas season .So for me it's simple cut out the sugar and start eating healthier get plenty of excersise and I know I'll be fine.Take care and you'll be fine .
Your doctor should answer these
you should visit a doctor so they can see if you have it or not, and also so you can get on a treatment to make sure its gone for good.
Thanks for the information.

Hi @mariobalindan110 - if you would like to get tested for diabetes, you can speak to your local doctor or healthcare professional and arrange a blood test. Although, this may vary depending on where you are based.
I have had diabetes for over 40 years. It is now effecting my eye's, legs, my feet, and even my shoulders, so when they tell you that you have diabetes take seriously because it will catch you up. My diabetes is well controlled but it's a horrible illness to have
i woke up my foot being numb and part of my hand, both have had some injuries happen in the past so could it just be a nurve?
My wound dont heal slower than before does that mean i have it or it just infection bc it have some yellow things
3x carrots
1x apple
1x beetroot peeled
1x cucumber (cut about a 5cm piece)
Then juice everything
Add dill to the mix, i'm not a doctor but this remedy helps with diabetes. Try and see the effect please do test daily to monitor your sugar levels
Hey what’s dill.... and aren’t you supposed to stay away from sugary fruits also v?
Diabetes runs in my dads family and about 2 years ago I was getting my blood tested and the nurse said my veins were small and that i might have diabetes, now i'm starting to have symptoms

@@diabetesuk I have normal sugar levels. I am just saying that sugar is very addictive if at home.
Maybe some sort of vitamin or mineral deficiency?
