We have a Generac whole house generator and we love it. Glad you have a back up for our power it is piece of mind for sure.
I agree.... best purchase ever..
I always enjoy watching Kevin "getting it done"!
Once you get the solar panel installed, you’ll be set as far as your electric bill goes! Using it during peak hours is super smart! Love y’all’s channel! Came for the puppies, stayed for the content! God bless you and your beautiful family!
something city folk will never understand is how having no electricity means no access to water. well pumps require power to pump water. It's like wanting to call phone company to tell them the phone isn't working. And no hot water if water heater is also electri. Every rural home should have a generator. Amazing how much we depend upon electricity!
A good reason to have a rainwater collection system, even if only for a backup water supply.
You think city people never lose power? Transformers and substations that power city neighborhoods also lose power.
@@Og-Judy I know loss of power is a universal experience but, you still have access to water during power outage. Being on a well and electric pump with no access to water I can't shower, wash dishes, or flush toilet. Not something that is common experience shared with city dwellers. Plus as Kevin says in his video, power is restored first to areas with higher populations. I didn't mean to offend youwith my observations. Sorry.
Wow. So City people don’t understand is that what you said @JanicePeterson-hv4us. City people don’t lose power is that what you said? City people never have a boil order from public health, City people don’t have disaster. What you are saying is city people don’t need generators to keep their fridge or freezer running and to keep their lights on. I get it. The one thing many channels say we are asked this all the time. Well I read most all comments and never see anyone ask what do you do if the power goes out. I don’t mind sponsorships but they they get these products for free get a kick back if someone buys and uses their code.
Wrong, when electricity goes, so does the water, the elevators , fridge and lots of stuff. and in some bldgs no heat. City dwellers are probably more dependant on the utilities than our rural neighbors. Lots of city folk would starve without a microwave.
3 weeks we went without power once from flooding, it was awful, when you live on well water, no fun washing your hair and self in a bucket of rain water, your different you have animals to care for as well, I think it's wonderful you found that generator ori s it a powerbank system ? You definitely need it, Russell he's getting big fast., to fast I think he's going to be bigger than mom and dad. Praying for you all be safe with the storms coming, God bless yas
Wow
@HiddenHeightsFarm most of the road was gone, it was a nightmare, but one thing the driveway was filled with water we could flush the toilets, always a silver lining
Sounds like Houston after Ike
Can’t believe how big Russel is getting so fast. Wasn’t it just last week he was born? LOL
They are all so cute!
I know he's growing so fast
This last spring seems like it went very fast.
Russell is gonna be a BIG boy, his paws still look huge on him 😂❤
Yes his paws are massive
Russell is going to be huge,he is already 😮
He's growing to be huge
Love you all ❤
What a great system to keep you going during the stormy seasons. You made it look simple during the installation. Best wishes to you and your family from northern Illinois.
Russell looks big until you see him next to Leeske 😂
Russell is growing very fast, he is so cute.🐕🥰Stay safe Kevin Rachael and family.🙏🙏
We are Getting bad storms here in ILLINOIS tonight. It's awesome that the generator looks like luggage and rolls. Makes it easy to move.
Yall stay safe. Prayers for the people in tornado zones.
Russell is growing so fast. Such a pretty dog.
Kevin, you are going to be busy installing that bad boy. Have fun! Love you guys❤
Totally understand what your saying. We lived for 4 years totally off the grid on a boat. All power came from the sun, we had no generator either. We would pump out and stock up on water every 4 to 6 weeks. We ran a fridge and could only have it on when then sun was out. It sure was a learning experience but we became very appreciative to the weather elements. So true that city folk don’t understand. Love to the family and critters from Australia.🦋🫶🙏🇦🇺
It pays to be prepared
I am in Iowa and we have gotten and is getting their butts whooped. Sick of the storms.
My brother lives in Florida. He has a big popane tank & a generator the size of a car engine. He had children with medical issues they couldn't evacuate in a hurry or risk finding a place to stay. I am enjoying how you are showing your way of emergency survival. No matter where a person lives we could always use a generator. I live in North West Ohio. Thanku for sharing.
1. That is a game changer! 2. When electric goes out it will affect not just ppl in the rural area but also ppl in town, cities too. That can help so many ppl in so many ways.
You have cleaned up the after math of storms. My boys worked STORMS IN NY, MASSACHUSETTS RHODE ISLAND AND PENNSYLVANIA. THERE WERE PPL WITHOUT ELECTRIC, WATER AND FOOD. NO SOURCE OF HEAT. So it can be a life saver 4 everyone.❤
I've been thinking of getting one of those. Don't forget to plug the other freezer in before you leave the building .
I'm rural too. But I could never afford any back up system. You are very lucky.
That is one cool Power Outage System you have. Great instructions on this.
Your camera is clear and bright. Thanks for the Demo. Over my head. Blessings 🙏🫶🙏🫶
My pleasure!
At least now you have a little peace knowing your food and animals will be safe when power is out. And Mr.Russell is getting really big. I think he may get bigger than his dad. And runs fast to. Sending all my love to all the family ❤❤
For sure
Kevin you should show some pics of the other pups and their weight.
Hi from Canada, my son lives in the country and during storms they loose electricity, and when he has no power they don’t have water because the pump won’t work, that is why he has a generator.
We lost power for 26 hours. Lost everything in our freezers and fridge. Thousands of dollars. This really hurt being disabled and on a fixed income. It’s taken me years to build up my food supply where I was confident I’d be able to feed my family if and when SHTF. I don’t see how I’ll be able to ever recover from this… 😢
Oh man that stinks!! So sorry
No generator big enough to run freezers? Doesn't take much. No ice available? You shouldn't have lost everything in only 24 hours. We average 24 hr outages at least twice a year. This last year we were out twice for over 40 hrs. You learn to live with extension cords from generator to run sump pump, frig, freezer, internet. No water, got jugs in basement for toilet. Rain barrel is full too.
Thousands of dollars? What was in fridge? $100 per pound meet from Mars?
@@marcinmakowskiphotos have you never had your own livestock butchered?
Sounds like a good system to have. I know that's a big help to y'all. Russell is getting bigger every time I see him. GOD bless y'all.
Y'all be careful in those storms 🙏🌹🙏.
Good for you and your family! Peace of mind is what that is ❣️
Love your videos and enjoy watching them. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals

Good system! Now for solar panels and more battery backup so not dependent on the grid
Anker is a very good brand to name. I recently had to get a new charger for my phone and guess who it was made by lol an it was Anker and this the best charger I've ever had
No doubt
I can not express how your videos have affected my life for the better. I LOVE animals...I can not have any pets where I live now, but miss the emotional support of having one. I feel more like a part of your family when I watch your videos. It means a lot to this 79 year old! Just thank you.
I love Russell!! He is so cute ❤
Yes, mother nature sure can throw curve balls. Y'all be safe !!!!
Awesome power backup. Leske and Russell are ADOGABLE father and son. Russell's gotten so big and happy 🐾🐾Great DIY Kevin. Thank you for sharing 👍👍👍👍
Great job installing the new system Kevin !
Russell has left the eggs alone. Must of learned to wait til fed. Joys of training Rachel. Great job
Wow, I hope the Anker.... works well. Looks good to me! May all the nasty storms stay way clear of ya'll!! ❤
That’s pretty amazing and even nicer that you know all that electrical stuff. Great information.
Hello Kevin, Rachael and children!
You have such large roofs on your home and shop. i would think solar panels would be a beneficial investment.
Hey Kevin and Rachel,
we have had rolling storms with lightning all day too!
Im so glad you got a bigger home system for when your power goes out🎉.
I hope and 🙏 the Tornadoes don't rear their ugly heads 😳.
JO JO IN VT 💞
Hello guys ❤️ 🙏🏽
⚪️
👋🏻
Glad y’all have the new system.
Listen dude, you’re preaching to the choir as far as power outage.. We live a few miles outside of New Orleans & hurricanes, storms power outages weeks at a time, are nothing new. But affording what you’re installing is out of the possibility for most of us.
We have to stay prepared
@@HiddenHeightsFarm I guess having a gas fed Gen is the best we can do to be prepared..
We had to retire, and took a big hit on our IRAs. Lost tens of thousands. Terrible time to retire. But what do you do when you can no longer work at your previous career? Fast food? Can't do 8 hrs on my feet anymore. Had to scale back lots of retirement plans. Husband can't walk far. Thank God for a son that helps when he can.
We have a whole house natural gas generator. Best investment we ever made. Just as long as they continue to let us have natural gas. 😂
Amen to gas saved me during the ice storms in Texas all my food went outside and I saved it. 😊
I. Hope you all r well through the storms Russell is so cute and all ur other animals are as well please stay safe love you guys
Great job Kevin! That is awesome! 👏🏻👏🏻
Hi stay safe
We would have to get a licensed electrician to do all the work. Very strict permits needed. Doesn't matter how much you know. They are permit-crazy in Wisconsin.
Very grateful for you and this new system 🙏🙏🙏
I really like your new camera!
Thank you
👋 from Texas! Love all the critters.
Hello there!
Hello Kevin and family
I sure hope that works 🤞
You need a Generac!!! They are awesome. I wouldn't be without one.
They are great if you have a spare $10,000.
@@paulettek3682 or more....
Generac is Just a Brand Name. Several Mfg's make Stationary Gen sets.
And some of the others are actually made better than Generac.
Super Video! Thank you for sharing and going through the installation. I appreciate all you teach us and sharing. 🤗~Becka
Hi from Ohio
Hello there!
Howdy Russell ❣️ That's a nice generator & a Very wise move.My motto is Always Be Prepared then you won't hafta be scared.
Wow...Thats some machine....Great to have as emergency...no worries then....stay safe and see you on the next one
So excited for you all! Great backup! Wish I could afford one! Love you all so much! God bless!❤
Thank you so much!
15:56 Hi from Statesboro, Ga. Love watching your videos.
Time to go solar-powered
For sure
Speaking logical sense.
My parents lived very rural my father scavenged a genarater from a house boat on a small trailer he kept in pole barn he would use for two weeks sometimes it ran his whole Dome house every thing in the 1970s he built the house by himself and plumbed and wired the house himself he was very proud man very smart he was a Mac giver like you
It’s Greek to me! You young kids are remarkable!👩🏻🦳👍
I enjoy watching u guys ❤
Kevin that was a good demonstration of the product. ❤😊 Well done.
Thank you!
Hello @Hidden Heights Farm! Rachel, Kevin, Kids, and Chat . . from Southern California. 👋🐾🇺🇸🐕🦺🦮

Hi from Amarillo Texas
Thank you. This is something that I’m really interested in. If we have an emergency. We won’t have any available fuel so will need to work with solar.
No doubt
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
@@HiddenHeightsFarm I always do
I have been off the farm long enough that I have problems with a 24 hour outage! LOL 😂 I west up. Russell is huge and such a good boy and independent you don’t have to babysit now
That looks amazing. I hope it works well for you.
Been bombarded and tornados roller coaster it's way up southwest Iowa.
Russell is getting so big
He sure is
I'm in Dallas and had no power for 5 days just last week. It was widespread and my longest power outage in 25 years. We were lucky that the weather didn't get over 87. My battery powered fan and lanterns got me through but the worst was the gas stations being down and having no communication at all for a couple of days because of LTE towers down.
Would love a check up video of the other siblings of Russell’s if you could do that ? Maybe the families could send you short clips of them running & playing ??
Kelvin, why not build a deck around that pool for your daughter? Bet she would love it.
Always wishing you the best. Make sure you plugged that freezer back after you moved it. 😮
I live in the country. We had power outages. I'm on oxygen. I had to go to my son's house until ours was restored.
LOL, SO FUNNY SEEING YOU WALK IN FAST FIRWARD!😅😂
Russ is getting so big ❤
Good afternoon i love your new video 🤗❤😍❤️🥰❤️🤗❤️😍
Thank you so much 🤗
Your welcome ❤️🥰❤️
Good luck Kevin.
Dig a deep cellar
Nice info to know thanks
Kevin just so you know #6 wire is rated for 50 amps only.So if there is a problem the wire would heat up before 100 amp breaker blows. You would need at least a #4 or #2 awg copper wire for 100 amps
I think that if I lived on a farm, I would only connect freezers, refrigerators, medical devices and phones and tablets to the Anker power system. Everything else could be “primitive” like camping. Candles and lanterns instead of lights. Cooking outside on a grill (wood fire ). Store water for animals and toilets and dishes and hygiene. It was fun and a wonderful change for me for about a week at a time. I know nothing about farms. I live in a 22 story bldg in Brooklyn, ny but I watch every video you post. It seems like a much cleaner, safer, kinder way of life; close to the land and closer to God. Do you have any Black friends or Black owned farms in your area?
Russ is looking great
Storms off and on since Sunday in Iowa.
I trust you are safe and not affected by the storms there today. 🙏
Hi Kevin, If I own my home I would get one of these!!! Thanks for sharing it was ver informative. I did share it with my son because he owns his own home and is a contractor and can order these kind of units for his cliants. Love you guys God bless and until next time take care
Interesting stuff thanks. Chris from England
The top of your refrigerator looks like mine in my kitchen the perfect place store items.😂
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I would love to have one of those generators. I have a 1000 Jackery but need morel
