- Today on Overspray, we will be doing a how to video on how to remove a quarter glass window with a spachula ! Harbor freight tools helped out a bunch to get it started in the removal process , I don’t have all the tools needed to do this job correctly but I think we got some solid results for not having the right tools for the job. Removing windows is not my expertise but I think we got it this time. #mechanic #howto #honda #civic
Also exacto knife with a bigher blade might help with cutting the adhesive.

You did well to get that out without breaking it Chris, I've never done one and after seeing how hard it was I don't think I will even try 😂 Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the DV1, I love mine (also have the base gun and the DV1S) and have both caps I found the C1 is more like the T110 air cap and the C2 is similar to the TE20, I normally use the C1 with the 1.2mm nozzle and for me it gives a lovely flat finish but it's not the fastest gun out there 🙏👍 John UK
Nice work. Specially doing all by yourself. Can the molding around the glass be replaced without removing the glass. Im going to repaint my car and simply just want to change molding but dont want to remove glass. Thank you
I was going to attempt the same thing but no it must be removed as there is a slot in the middle the the glass sits in

Great job man have you ever tried the stainless steel wire method where you poke a hole in the urearthane and use the wire to saw all the way around HFT has a kit with the handles that hold the wire. There's even a plastic version called rip cord auto glass removal line.
Yeah one of those packages is the tool with the string , I couldn’t feed it thru for the life of me I think because the quarter panel had a edge that would block the cord from going all the way thru .
How do you get the extra glass off the inner part of the rubber weatherstripping?
I used a guitar strings, to cut the adhesive. It took me 4 strings to finally get the job done
Chris, is it possible to remove the quarter window molding without damaging it? I'm from Brazil, and it's impossible to find a new one,.
Yes it’s possible , with care you can pull it without damage
You will need to pull the entire glass to take them out , the quarter window molding is still available in the USA I just ordered on myself

I've heard C1 is similar too the T110 & C2 is like the TE20 cap

Yes but I don’t have enough space to do it , depending on the car it may be a lot of work . A lot of drilling spot welds

Yeah this was ashley the painters gun then was sold to olie olie paintz then I purchased it from him. It’s in very good condition and with a c2 cap . I think I got a good deal it was less than my tekna
