In the usa I can't buy any spores or mycelium or anything like that without permits I tried twice and customs seized both packages and sent me threatining letters about having to have three specific importer permits and I was going to get fined ect. And that was just for two syringes of moral mushrooms.
I feel kinda sad because of the psylocibin mushrooms. I'm personally fascinated about culinary and medicinal mushrooms, and every time I tell a someone about that then every time they link that "automatically" with psylocibin mushrooms. People (ab)use psylo for recreational drugs, party all night long, see all the pretty colors, laugh untill it hurts, and yes that is all great, but it's so much more than that. That is just not my thing and I hope it's not yours too.

Great channel, with lots of info! I was wondering...I've heard that Lion's Mane taste great cooked or used in dishes. Question concerning their "medicinal mental-healing" qualities, would they still contain their benefits if cooked? (dried for higher concentration?) And can they be cleaned and eaten raw, maybe in a salad?
They are delicious and cooking with them will still give you the benefits, even more if taken daily. Would recommend go cook all mushrooms because raw mushrooms may cause GI upsets for some. Thanks for watching!
Hen of the Woods is delish to me but do cook them well. After having Hen in omelettes I noticed that for me they must be well cooked on the firmer parts or they gave me sulfurious ventilation tendencies ;-) Your mileage may vary.
To my knowledge all mushrooms use chitin to build cell walls and you have to process it to break it down because our digestive system can’t. Not cooking can cause stomach issues and it prevents you from accessing the nutrients inside the cells. If you want to be sure how much heat the beneficial compounds (amino acids etc) can take you could look up their melting point. I’m guessing light cooking in butter shouldn’t be a problem

My word summerland eh? I've been tinkering with growing morels out by the loops this year in buckets. Only had 2 very lonely shrooms pop up so far, I am wondering if you guys have any helpful tips for stimulating them into fruiting. So far had luck with wood ash and simulating winter, though i have not tried the sugar feeding to simulate plant roots in spring yet. It's happy as all heck in their pots and the jar i have of the original culture seems healthy. Triggering them to fruit seems to be the most annoying hurdle, and you folks seem to know your shit. Advice would be appreciated. (Native species from the cariboo)

Suggestion, find a shop that sells mushrooms, then go to amazon and get petri dishes, and then culture the blue oyster mushrooms and you will literally have as much blue oyster mycelium that a home grower would ever use.

Can mushrooms be grown in Mexico? The heat generally does not get above 93F and less inside shelters.
Mushrooms like 75-85 the most. The majority will grow outside that as well.

Hi, how is it about hotter climates? e.g. close to the equator (Colombia). What mushrooms do you recommend to work with? Humidity will be always high (65-95%) and temperatures between 18-22 at night and 21-32 °Celsius during the day. I am thankful for any information ;-)

My word summerland eh? I've been tinkering with growing morels out by the loops this year in buckets. Only had 2 very lonely shrooms pop up so far, I am wondering if you guys have any helpful tips for stimulating them into fruiting. So far had luck with wood ash and simulating winter, though i have not tried the sugar feeding to simulate plant roots in spring yet. It's happy as all heck in their pots and the jar i have of the original culture seems healthy. Triggering them to fruit seems to be the most annoying hurdle, and you folks seem to know your shit. Advice would be appreciated. (Native species from the cariboo)

Nice video. One thing to consider, set your camera focus to infinity and turn off your auto focus. When you moved your hands to focus would readjust. It was making my motion sick. I wound up just listening instead of watching.
