Same I’m so exited to grow some of my own
I stumbled upon your channel because I have been watching a lot of channels about growing for my recent dive into pepper farming. I don't know anything about mycology or mushroom farming in general but I really enjoyed listening to you talk. You are obviously super passionate about it and it shows with your in depth knowledge and intuitive explanations that even keep a mushroom noob like myself entertained with what you're doing and talking about. Cheers my dude.

He reminds me of the late great painter Bob Ross of PBS fame. Happy little mushrooms.. Love the channel and his whole vibe.
***whelp, those are over-done*** as freaking amazing group of pioppinos head for the floor.
All kidding aside, this is seriously, THE BEST content on youtube and I am not being sarcastic in the slightest. The expert is chill and easy to listen to for extended periods of time, very knowledgeable and gives amazing advice. I really can't say thanks enough actually! Even though I don't think I can do hardly any of this, watching an expert is in its own way very much a reward.
I live 30 minutes away from their shop and already got some lion's mane and shiitakes and some dried medley best mushrooms I've ever had
Thanks for all the videos. I know it is a lot of work to produce/edit this kind of content. I am just a home DIY guy getting into things but this channel has been a great place to learn. I dove in head first on growing mushrooms when a red oak came down on our property in a storm. I've got 16" big shitake logs inoculated with sawdust spawn. We also had a few hundred pounds of sawdust from milling up some dimensional lumber out of that tree and we have 12 10# bags of lions mane that she just finished inoculating yesterday. I've done some spray and grow kits before but this is the first time trying to make our own. I've really enjoyed the process so far.
Its crazy how many people think mushrooms are just for tripping on. I love these videos man keep it up. I used to hate mushrooms but I just never gave them the respect and I hadn't tried enough different kinds. Now I love going out and hunting for edible mushrooms around Ohio. Keep doing your thing man. Mad props.
i read this and im like ah fuck! another guy in ohio.... but.... then i read your name
hell yeah Ohio mushroom foragers represent
Mycelium is the force that binds all things. This force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by the mycelium. It surrounds us and penetrates us.
wait you cant trip on these?!.. wtf have i been wasting the last day watching all hes videos for.
@@papsoe0 your already trippin bro 😁😁😅😅
Man you rock! You have one of the best mushroom channel on RUclips. I'm learning so much thanks to you. Keep going the good job.
Dude.... your videos are by far the best.... you don't half-ass anything and that's what I like about your content
I am absolutely addicted to watching this guy. fascinating.
You are such an inspiration Michael. Over the last 3 weeks I've been buying supplies and materials to start this hobby. You are such a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate everything you're doing. Please keep making videos and hopefully I could be as successful as you are one day
I can’t explain it but this guy is one of my heroes
@Southwest Mushrooms: If the Lion's Mane grows so well from the top, have you experimented with other mushrooms? The blue and pink oysters looked like they were ready to fruit on top, so I was very curious about if you had tried it or not, and if it was at all possible to get the same results as the Lion's Mane.
I love your videos and mushrooms, in combination, you've convinced me to try growing mushrooms myself and experimenting.
Thank you for all the content, I can't express how grateful I am for you, and people like you. You give forward a passion that lives on in a multitude of people around this world. That is incredibly awe-inspiring.
You are living your B E S T life! Love your posts ✨💕🙏🏽 Thanks a million!
It's obvious that you enjoy your career, are a hard worker, a great problem-solver, a stickler for cleanliness, do things righ,, and you are constantly learning.
Good job. I enjoy learning from you.

I've been binging this channel! I'm really interested in the health benefits of mushrooms, especially after struggling with mental health during the pandemic. I am really enjoying just researching, I'd love to start home growing some gourmet medicinal mushrooms!

Thank you.
It shouldn't be surprising that a mushroom man lives a life without illusions. But it is pleasant to see.
Mushroom Jesus.
Outstanding
This is so cool! I've been looking for some hobbies for a while and I've been stuck in choice overload for so long but I finally just ordered some kits from a local company. I'm going to start slow, but I've been geeking out about it to everyone so much that now my father in law is ordering some lions mane kits to try it out too.
hey hows the mushroom growing going? is it hard or goes well?
Eccoing the mushroom community by sharing the success of yr endevourers, liked, subbed.
I grow mainly oysters here in Orange County, CA (my business partner and I are both growing out of buckets in our own space he's in Westminster and I'm in Huntington. I like the name "wehumyc" pronounced like We Who Myc and short for Westminster Huntington Myco, but I don't know if that name is too convoluted) and I've been using coffee grinds and chafe from the roasting process as my substrate. I got the idea of using coffee grounds to grow oysters from a British company, but they use straw in their substrate, not chafe. Chafe works really well and I source it from the same place. I also supplement my substrates with the coffee cherries sometimes when they have roasted natural processed coffees. I've also been experimenting supplementing with thyme and rosemary from my garden that had dried out to see if it has any effect on flavor. I just started, but the coffee roaster is my first client!
I love the smell of my lionsmane and reishi mycelium, makes me want to check their growth everyday, just to smell them lol ..
Thanks for all your advice 🕊️💛👍🏻
i frikin love this channel....super knowledgeable guy, thanks for the info.
Great cinematography!
Glad i found your channel. Great stuff.
the man with the plan! rock on!
What do you do with all the substrate after the mushrooms are grown?
Break it up and use it for compost or outside hay bed or wood chip bed
Ill be honest, I clicked this because I thought J. cole started growing shrooms...
I thought it was Samuel Jackson

i stumbled on your channel not even noticing that i bought from you, great video!
I've seen some limited papers about mushroom metabolites acting as insulin and being theoretically usable for significantly more effective sugar leveling. And how some people after accidentally consuming it develop an intolerance to alcohol. Something about how it causes such a ruckus in your kidneys when combined with alcohol your body just ejects it.
Much love
I like your great idea
WOW
Mike, can you make a video of harvesting top-fruited hericium? When we top fruit we end up with really difficult harvests and a big mess - really appreciate your videos - excellent!

Guess if this guy is going to give up all the knowledge of how to grow mushrooms I will have to start showing all the lab work for them as well.
We’re waiting 😉
If thats what is wanted then thats what I will work on. Doing some lab work this weekend.
Thanks for this very interesting video. Do you have a video on how you set up your grow room? How you set up your humidifier? Thankyou.. God speed!
I would love a job man I think its awesome how your doing this congrats man
How do you increase the temperature in the grow room tents during winter? Is the outer room heated so you just pump in the heated air into the tents?
