As of September '23, I am the proud owner of the actual bike in this video. I had been looking into Bonneville's for a long time, was eyeballing this one online, then saw your video, went to the dealership and traded in my RE Himalayan for this beauty. I've made some very minor modifications on it to make it more my own, but overall, it is perfect to me and I now own my dream bike. Thanks for the final push I needed to make my dreams come true. And to add to the discussion below: Yes, it takes a little time to finesse the throttle/clutch control to smooth that "on/off" feeling, but that's more of a quirk than a complaint. Every bike has its idiosyncrasies. If ever considering between a T120 and T100, go with the T120. The rain mode basically converts the T120 to T100 ;) best of both worlds + some nice upgrades
That’s awesome! Thanks for checking out the video, and I’m happy that you found your dream bike. I will say, I gave the T120 some serious thought before I ended up with the Trident, but in the end I was really looking for the more sporty naked bike. I have no doubt in my mind I will own a Bonnie at some point in the future, they are fantastic bikes. Best of luck and I hope you enjoy it!
i've been thinking about the T120 for awhile now. I have seen there are some fixes for the twitchy throttle. Most reviewers say the T120 is a cruizer type bike for leisurley riding, but i'd like to see someone ring it out to see if it can do a sporty pace. I like the speedtwin1200, but it may be TO sporty for my type of riding. I gotta get on them for a ride to know for sure.
I definitely think it could handle some “spirited riding”. I’m not a fan of the sport bike seating position, so I’ve been looking into something like this, or a naked bike like the new Trident 660.
I've got a T120 here in the UK and it's a phenominal bike that will do anything I spend a lot of time in the twisties on Welsh mountain roads and it's no sportsbike but you can definitely have some fun on it and it is well planted in a turn. The snatchy throttle is only really a thing in first but honestly if you have good clutch control and understand the friction zone you can ride this thing at less than walking pace easily it is so well balanced. I recently took it on a 1500 mile road trip to Scotland with luggage and it handled it fine (bearing in mind it is a naked bike) Did a Motorway Stint of a couple of hundred miles and it sits at 70mph at 3100rpm and it could just sit up there all day. It returns 70mpg (UK) about 58mpg(US).
@@motomaverickusa I haven't ridden either but I have spoken to quite a few T100 owners and I would say that the consensus seems to be thar the T100 is a better city/commuter bike and is great for a Sunday blast for a few hours but it only has 5 gears which seems to hinder it for touring or highway/ motorway riding. From others feedback it will do it but it is not it's happy place. For me the 6 speed box and more relaxed high speed was what drew me to the 120.
@@motomaverickusa one other thing I would add about the 120 is you gave it a bit of a tweak and thought it had some go but you really need to get it up to 3k rpm and it pulls like a train.
Yea, that’s true. I’m sure I would get used to it after some time working on the throttle control, it just reacts so much differently than my Tiger, for obvious reasons.
“I don’t have the same issue with the pegs”…”not electronic”…”I see why these are completely different price brackets”… what the heck are you even referring to? Give some context to your random statements. 🙄
I was making comparisons to the other bike I rode that day, the Trident 660, as well as the Speed Twin I rode previously. Pretty sure I mentioned that.

That is a beautiful bike. I’m eyeing one just like it in hopes it’s still available when I’ll have the down payment in a couple months.
Agreed; I definitely wouldn’t mind having one of these at some point.

Awesome feedback, thank you! Have done any riding on the T100 or the Trident 660 and could offer some comparison?

Just stick it in Rain Mode when riding around town and the throttle calms down
