  • I hate doing things, especially things I don't want to do. Today we look at a simple trick I learned that is almost 100% affective every time to do things I really don't want to do.

My father always said ‘Do what you hate early in the morning to get it out the way’. He called me to say happy birthday at 6:00am this morning.

What I Want To: 20% / What I Don't Want To: 80% (maybe 30/70 or 40/60). Mental Inertia - it seems so big, but it seldom really is. Your suggestion to take just a partial step is great advice and often is enough to get things rolling. Great Vid!

I love how realistic you are about these kinds of tasks. There are always tasks that you don't like or procrastinate on, no matter who you are. If you can get them done quick, even better. Love your humour. Even when you said "that's the end of the list" I kept watching. Great video. Cheers!!👍

"Atomic Habits" has good information along these lines.
I try to identify tasks "outside my comfort zone" and make a conscious effort to get them done. If feels so good when it's over.

Ok... I have another great tip (so 2 things means it’s definitely a list!) Here goes...
    2. Once you make a decision to commit to something ie ‘going to the gym’ like you said... once that decision has been made.. DON’T ARGUE WITH YOURSELF EVERYDAY... JUST DO IT! 🏃‍♂️

Its like eating a full meal, I would always say you don't pile the whole plate of food into your mouth, we take a bite at a time, it doesn't seem so overwhelming when broken down.

This was very helpful! I have been procrastinating my college training for so long that it became all I ever think about! The moment i make myself to sit down and start working on it I find million distractions that I rather do. But by braking the whole dissertation into small managable chunks and appointing deadlines to complete those chunks it suddendy appears a lot more manageable! Very good tips!

Good advice, Jason. Essentially you have said to ignore the enormity (or undesirability or unpleasantness) of the task and focus only, exclusively on the first step. You even did that with this video. You did not give a long list, but instead gave us only the beginning. That is, you took your own advice and applied it here. I think that was genius. 🙂 I also am so very impressed with Danielle's chimney. We have similar rock work on our house and know how long and how many people it took. 🙂 Have a great weekend. Sorry YT won't monetize your most popular videos. 🤔😲☹️

You should change from "I smoked" to "I enjoyed", I enjoy having these adult oriented, natural, burning leaves in and around my mouth. I feel like you would feel the same, but be able to word it better than I.

Nice one. For the getting out if bed thing. Some ppl really have difficulty wakkng up cos they dont have enough acid loading in the morning. They can use red light in the morning to kind of charge themselves up to get their metabolism going. Really head to toe red light with the sheets off.

I spend 29% of my time sleeping, which is both necessary and desired. Beyond that less than 1% of time is spent on things I do not want to do, 69% on things that must be done, maybe 10% participating in activities I truly enjoy, and then I probably (realistically) waste 20% of my time trying to figure out how to be better at doing loved, loathed, and otherwise necessary activities.

Also I like your channel even more now that I know you hate the dentist. Dentists are scam artists. I recently heard somebody advise to eat only meat, eat it raw, and you’ll never need the dentist.

*The economic hardship, recession, unemployment and the loss of job caused by covid pandemic is enough to push people into financial ventures. I'm taking a trip into investing because I lost so much during this pandemic. Multi creation of wealth is the best strategy to ensure financial sustainability..*
