I was very fortunate to have been a DST employee & got to know: Mr. Rowland, Mr. Haverty, Mr. Freestone & others at the KCS. I was allowed to witness the repairs, painting & "rebuilding" the Southern Belle from nothing to its final product. A round-end observation "Hospitality" is in Belton, MO.
Being treated to a fine test kitchen meal sampling by the onboard kitchen was a taste buds delight.
Thank you Mr. Haverty for bring the heart back to the KCS. The pride, grandeur & openess of the KCS so I could visit with the office staff & work deals for equipment donation(s).

Will be cool to see this and the Royal Canadian Pacific train in Kansas next year or whenever it happens for the big formal function of the takeover.
