If the Prize is just the return of "The Guy That Screams Rodney", I'd be down for that. Humble man, me. Ain't ask for much, Guv'nor.
I would prefer Blue Harvest to be brought back, even if it was only every so often
Hey stay prayed up 🙏
I would prefer if Rodney and Blue Harvest stayed dead forever.
That's you innit, Tom 'Olland?
O please Mista Fiege!
It’s still so bizarre Maso hasn’t won a prize yet, we literally all have
I’m actually sick of winning, I don’t have more room for all these gigantic prizes!
Wait you guys are winning? I was really doing my best this week but I have yet to win a prize
I've been getting so many gold medals I don't know what to do with them anymore!
@@claytonandres1194 I had to purchase an entire storage facility just to store all my prizes
He should be thankful he didn’t win the prize specific to him this time (half a brick at 20mph or 32kph)
Lawrence actually managed to squeeze in the entire 25 minute flashback sequence from Indiana Jones into a single timelapse ☠️ I’m very proud of you dad
Best part of film tbh
I genuinely thought it was the entire movie 😂 kudos
Lol it’s not hard at all 😂
Incredible effort
@@RetroBacon1 That's disgusting. I bet it would have to be some real messed up comment to make it hard wouldn't it you little freak.
The fact they committed to the halfway air horn, unintelligible dialogue and all, is incredible. Great work as always Lawerence, keep it up.
A trilogy of movies that all seem to exist in entirely separate universes.
My belief is that all X-Men movies are in the same timeline but Legion just keeps fucking everything up between movies
I mean technically Logan is set in a separate timeline as the first two are set in the original timeline and Logan is supposedly set in the new timeline created by the end of Days of Future Past (I think)
@@directorforplastic7929 even then the timeline for this and DOFP past don't match up? Wolverine has bone claws at the end of this film then adamantium ones in the future scenes before the timeline resets.
I'd like to thank Lawrence for his very un-RedLetter Mediaesque constraint with the air horn, as I was fully expecting 3-5 minutes of an air horn gag.
It was perfect 🤌
I'm legitimately upset that it didn't go long enough to annoy me. I hate loud, high-pitched stuff and that was nothing. I feel let down.
It hit right after they said Wolverine was stabbed all the way through. Then the words came up “halfway through.” And I was like what do you mean stabbed halfway through and then I was like oh it’s the halfway through gag.
I have been sick of the air horn ever since it became popular.
@@johntuel2375 I don't know what an air horn is could you link me a video to one please and thanks
Literally the forgotten middle child of the wolverine movies.
Idk why but this is probably the only X-men movie i've never watched. It was completely off my radar when it came out and for some reason I just didn't bother to watch it later on
Literally?
@@SummonersBand yeah, it's the one in the middle that everyone forgets exist.
@@knightfallprotocoluntrue, don’t say everyone when there are plenty of people that love this movie
@@knightfallprotocolit’s not literally a child though
"Certain media that matters" and it cuts to CARS killed me 😂
I was just about to comment on that myself! Pure gold, well done Lawrence! 15:15
Good to know that Caravan of Garbage is keeping up the X-men movie tradition of terrible continuity by covering the third movie, then the Wolverine trilogy, and not the first two movies for some reason
At least James and Maso are accurate to their source material.
1-2 were not garbage. Simple
@@daddalonglegz0neither are Wolverine 2 and 3.
@@daddalonglegz0 That's not how they pick movies.
Not so simple after all.
The actual reason is that they didn't used to do series' of videos.
If they were doing X-Men 3 now, they would have done the other 2 as well.
@@daddalonglegz0 Caravan of Garbage has not been about Garbage movies for years and years
Lawrence, mate, you’ve done a bang up job of making this one. The ramblings of this episode feels more insane than usual and you’ve done us all a service by matching that energy, I think
Maybe they're the same ones
Thoughts and prizes is my favourite segment. I almost win I feel it.
You nearly did!
I bought a wheel to spin and attempted to cheat but still only got thoughts.
The real thoughts are the friends who didn't win prizes along the way
or something like that.
I love how shity the quality is when they're doing the conference call 😂😂
Great editing choice 👌
I thought my earphones were cutting out 😂
Well, I've seen Indiana Jones 5 now. Tick that one off
I want my few seconds back!
I have seen the sequence they showed in normal speed and it’s the same as in super sped up speed so yep.
tbh indy 5 is p great but tht sequence tht lawrence showed kinda sucks and i have skipped it whenever i rewatch
Die you Like IT?
It's actually an excellent movie. Got unfairly shat on by cynics and bad faith critics.
Lawrence with the airhorn was the best thing he's done all year! 😂
I just want to point out, Wolverine leaves at the end of X-Men 1, then returns to the school at the beginning of X2 which means, at most, he spent 2 weeks with Jean (during which time she was married to Cyclops) before she returned as Dark Phoenix and starting vaporizing everybody. The point is, Logan is a gigantic simp in these movies.
I completely forgot the phoenix thing happened in two, I thought it was three
@@sanguillotineShe’s Phoenix in 3. The Phoenix is hinted at during the final shot of 2.
That bit at the end about a plane crash and wolverine sinking in the middle of the ocean because of his skeleton is actually kinda horrifying tbh
Hopefully he'd just drown or at least lose conciousness
Imagine being trapped at the bottom of the ocean fully concious, but it's freezing, pitch black and you can't move because of the pressure, just trapped forever
Water pressure doesnt work like that. If you can actually survive it and not die it takes very little energy to move down there. Deep sea life are mainly low energy lifeforms they arent super strong. If wolverine didnt die he could just walk along the bottom
@@johno1544immediately, I need an alternate universe where he becomes a marine biologist, and catalogues all the unknown creatures that live in the depth of the oceans
@@ecargnz7762 😅 Most versions of Wolverine do need to breath though. I believe wolverine killed Daken by drowning him and he has a healing factor simliar to deadpool. Some version of Logan can survive just as a head with no lungs so I guess it depends on the comic run.
Maybe watch The Old Guard if you want a fun time...
@@johno1544 oh I didn't even think about that hahaha 😅 thanks for the info, that's quite interesting to know!! (I am quite new to the actual lore of all the comics and such, so I enjoy reading info about the characters and their stories) ☺️
Lawrence's editing was straight flames this week. DOD fastword clip, we got our promised air-horn, and the Fox executives call was phenomenal. Seriously, props to everyone this go around, but especially Lawrence. You killed it buddy
"Have you considered pachinko?"
"Have you considered the MGS franchise?"
That one cut deep
I like how the editors keep slipping in exactly 1 doctor who clip, usually from the tennant era, so we can slowly recreate the entirety of doctor who 1 scene at a time within these videos.
Laurence had a Doctor Who rewatch podcast, it’s worth a listen if you’re into dr who. Still got legs it’s called
Kudos to the editor for actually airhorning as a reminder we are indeed halfway through the video and the entire Caravan of Garbage of the Wolverine Trilogy. What a thing to witness on the internet!
Punk
@@greencubed1274 KISAMAAAAAA!!!!!
This movie was the most violent movie I ever watched with my sweet aunt. She got so upset when Wolverine lost his claws.
So did I. 😕
Namor once described Wolverine as "A worse swimmer you would not want to meet", probably hates planes because he doesn't want to have to drowns constantly as he walks to shore from the bottom of the sea...
The idea of Wolverine running away if he lost his powers cracks me up
Bring the guy who yells Rodney and then dies back
No thanks, it's overdone, not funny, and I skipped it after the first few times.
@@kennyearthling7965 BRING IT BACK
You're afraid Kenny boy
@@kennyearthling7965everyone did. James checked the viewer engagement and saw everyone skipped it everytime. It wasn’t even funny the first time.
Green trivia was funny though.
I’m surprised you guys didn’t bring up how he lost his metal claws, grew the bone claws back… then in Days of Future’s Past he has the metal again.
That’s one of the first things I noticed when I saw that in the theater in 2014 when I was 8.
I know the continuity in X-Men is basically non existent but that feels like a huge thing to just be like “yea he got more metal” 💀
Idk I’m guessing magneto did him a favor but who knows
@@diegorivera6756 I always assumed Magneto was like “this bitch gonna be useless” after seeing the bone claws and attracted/ summoned his cut off claws from Japan and reattached them
I enjoy how in the very last film, Wolverine was at D-Day, and then decided to just switch tact, go all the way around the world and start fighting Japanese people instead
It's the curse of immortality, you'll always be at the most iconic moment of whatever time period you're living through
Boy howdy was my hungover ass, not ready for the air horn at the halfway through mark
They even warned you in advance.
Bro right? 😂
loved the inclusion of the halfway siren
Maybe Logan hates the going through customs while boarding.
"Sir, do you have pierching?"
Can't wait for the Halfway Point air horn to wake me up one morning after I fell asleep to RUclips haha
Love the very crisp page turn sound effect when going through the comic panels, good job Lawrence.
Quote from Professor X: "I like sitting" 😂
You didn't mention that this movie was filmed almost entirely in Australia. Wolverine was in bloody Parramatta!
People don't realize, but - if you think about it - a pin-board bed, where all the pins have a precise load-cell that tells it how much weight it carries (combined with an assumed perfect software implementation of course), will be as comfortable as the softest of mattresses. I'll show myself out.
Needs a lot of pins
That was actually gonna be the prize this week but it got held up at customs
I swear to God, when the "halfway through" horn hit... I haven't laughed this hard in ages! HAHAHA Seriously, this got me! 10 minutes for the best payoff!
I think the plane thing is a poorly adapted holdover from the comics. Comic Logan hates flying because of the fear of water, but it's not tied to being stranded in the middle of the ocean; it's because the adamantium makes him so heavy that he'd sink to the bottom.
James' Machiavellian joy is the only prize we'll ever get
Actually it’s spelled “James McAvoy”
@@sanguillotine 👌
The air horn that said “halfway through” is the best joke since “James how do I win this game that you say there are prizes to” “…… when you win you’ll know “
Hey guys don't forget to call it "Trogan" next week, I'm certain that last week I did make the effort to remind you to call this week's segment "Wolverivia" with a comment down below, but I've just gone and looked for it myself right now and it's been replaced with a tax receipt for some prizes?
Anyway, don't forget to call it "Trogan" next week, much obliged.
We all agreed on Logivia
I’m glad the half way through edit was actually put in
love that you guys got Christopher Nolan to guest star to sound mix the audio during the bullhorn. perfection
It's insane that you guys took a break from your constant red notice rewatches to watch another movie. So brave of you
Maso’s commitment to getting digs in at Metal Gear Solid’s cutscenes is amazing
"Tough guy who's afraid to fly" feels like a trope that's been in a bunch of different stories, I'm not sure if that's the extent of it with Wolverine but it feels like it might be.
I'm sure Juggernaut hates flying too.
Red Foreman in That 90s Show, classic
John McLane in Die Hard and Dean Winchester in Supernatural. I think Die Hard is the best use of it, since him taking his shoes off factors into the story later
B.A. Baracus from The A Team! Can't remember if it was flying in general or just Murdochs' piloting he was afraid of.
@@SeaBeast4Life Don't know about the show but in the movie Murdock's flying caused Baracus to be afraid of it in general.
Lawrence needs a raise.
and prizes!
That Piano Man joke absolutely floored me, I had to pause the video to recover
Aronofsky auditioned for Joker though and he improvised the line "Do you wanna know how I got these scarves?"
That would be kind of crazy if Professor X just makes it look like him so people won’t freak out
Don't forget that because of Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness it's canon that any dream anyone has in any marvel movie is actually another universe. So in a bunch of universes Wolverine didn't kill Jean and then she went on to be weird and passive aggressive to him a lot and then one time a samurai attacks them.
Props to Lawrence at 15:18 for reminding us all that Cars (2006) does indeed matter
That's THE best out of context clip of Logan
I'm throwing my hat in the ring for _'Schoolverine trivia'_ . Because the school for mutants that he works at or lives at. Or maybe just sometimes visits. Do they even get Ofsted inspected? Could you imagine the X-Men getting an emergency call around 3pm but being like "I'm sorry, but we've got a CPD training session after school and it's mandatory for all staff"
I got ditched on a date seeing this movie in theaters. She knew nothing about superheroes, let alone Wolverine, so I suppose it was a bit much when they turned Hugh Jackman into an overcooked meatball in a well.
At least that’s what I’m choosing to blame.
That’s weird because on the other end of the spectrum I saw this movie with Aunt who’s non-violent sweet person.
@@li-limandragon9287 Maybe your Aunt was also the other fellow's date? She might have ditched him because she'd already seen the movie. Just sayin'
Hugh Jackman dehydrated himself for those sick Melpart gains
Watching Mason dealing with James messing with him the trivia stuff is like watching the beginning of The Wolverine… it’s a villain origin story lol
"Bullet train didn't even really like you that much" 💀
I don't know why but the fuckin thoughts and prizes bit always gets me cackling
They actually did the halfway alert 👏🏿
James ISTG I thought this week we would have prizes in thoughts and prizes
Or at least one thought 😂
James is taking thoughtless prizes to another level
this is week 28 of me asking mr sunday movies to watch bridget jones's diary
The Snake Eyes review is the prize from "Thoughts & Prizes"
"Listen. You're gonna love this...."--Captain America telling Wolverine about nuclear bombs
The world is a shitty place. It's rare that I get a fully unadulterated laugh out loud moment these days. That air horn had me genuinely laughing as i was peeling garlic and it was the funniest thing ive heard in weeks. Keep up the good work boys.
The quick shot of Jim shaking his head “No” at the mention of Havoc in Days of Future Past is just *Chef’s Kiss*
"Thoughts and prizes" is just spiraling out of control in the best way.
I always forget about the piercing volume of the premiere countdown screen
That Cars joke is one the best visual gags I've seen in awhile
"You seem aimless, have you considered the Metal Gear Solid franchise?" This will now be my response anytime a friend is feeling down.
11/10 EDITING AND JOKES. THUNKS X
I love this movie so it's sad to see it be forgotten by most.
The phone call effect with Warner Bros. Was really funny
Airhorn+airpods=pants change
its 3:00am and I've waken up horrified to an airhorn and the wolverine movie footage
Wolverine being in love with Jean in the X-Men movies is kind of like Superman and Lois in Man of Steel where their history from the comics is doing a lot of the heavy lifting because the movies don't really build that chemistry up all that well.
The phone audio effect for the Fox excecs was a nice touch!
They made that movie where the invulnerable hero is de-powered and scared, it's called Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
Maseau is correct: The brown costume is the best one.
The best part of any episode of “Caravan of Garbage” is waiting for the hyper-specific Australia reference.
What the heck is “What’s New”?
Maso mentioning a What’s New might be the most niche joke I’ve heard in a very long time, which is saying something because my sense of humour is a nightmare.
Ive always loved this film, it aged like fine wine for me😂 Hugh Jackman will always be my favorite Wolverine.
It's the best Wolverine movie made, it is no coincidence that the year after came out DOFP and before that First Class. Fox actually hired people who knew what they were doing. Didn't last long.
Huge Jacked Man IS The Wolverine. No one else can play him in live action, for the Gods have decided.
I just never got how Yashida in this thought Wolverine would go for his "you give me immortality, I'll give you dying" offer. Because first of all, Yashida, you don't know this man. I don't care how much you've seen this man on TV doing flips on the top of the Statue of Liberty, unless your spies found his diary and read that he hates being alive you don't know what he feels about anything. Maybe even if he does wanna die, maybe he's so selfish about it he wouldn't offer you immortality if you offered him something GOOD instead of death. Here's an idea offer him a free stay in like a hotel or whatever, and then while he's sleeping get a bit of his bone marrow. If this sounds insane, remember that getting him while he's sleeping and doing internal stuff to his body is ONE OF THE THINGS THEY DO IN THIS MOVIE!
Jimmy and Nicky bussin' with this one.
Imagine the series of movies they could’ve made of Wolverine Forrest Gumping his way through historical events!! It’d be kinda like the first 10 mins of Origins: Wolverine, but good!
The editing in this 😂👏🏽
You guys need to remember "Triverine" for next week! It's gold😅 Keep up the good work guys!
Loved this. Pirates of the CARRIBEAN next pls!
Here’s some trivia Mason says “that’s Harada” that’s what Mariko says when wolverine asked who’s the archer
19:45 - My personal head cannon is that the whole flying thing is an A Team reference. Because he's like B.A. Baracus (Mr. T).
I’m the “air horn in the middle was so funny haha” button
James Mr.Sunday Movies a man with no thoughts and/or prizes
So honored to have won the prize this week on thoughts and prizes
I completely forgot about the "Halfway Through" thing as the video went on. Thanks for reminding me, Lawrence!
I really dig this one. I honestly can't see the problem with the third act. Also, best Wolverine hair.
Lawrence killed it with the edit this week
"Effing and jeffing" made me laugh much harder than I would have guessed 🤣
I had to stop and lol when the Halfway point arrived. That got me. Touche Lawrence, Touche.
9:51 Mangold knows what the Prize is, he's in on it
This is by far my favorite X-men film and they barely even shat on it, good on ya mates
I actually feel like you should do Days of Future Past Next - which is essentially a Wolverine prequel interjected into the trilogy.
