If you want an organized home, you need to watch this. Do you ever go looking for something and just can’t find it. If it’s put in the same place every time and it’s easy to see, you’ll always be able to find it.
It doesn’t have to be expensive to organize your home. I chose to make sure that my furniture had storage in order to make sure I had room for everything. We moved into a smaller home and I needed to make sure that I could store things easily.
Use shoe boxes, baskets, muffin tins and small baking dishes will even work. Utensil holders work for a lot of different items. I love to check Goodwill for storage containers too.
I chose tables with drawers. I chose a medicine cabinet with tons of storage in it. I chose acrylic containers and desk tray style organizers and vegetable trays and pull out shelving for my pantry all in order to make sure that I could organize everything.
If you want everything where it belongs every time it’s time to get yourself organized. It’s not tough to do, it just takes a little bit of sorting, cleaning out, finding the expired items and weeding out the never used items and the worn out things too.
Create a practical home for everything. Decide how much space you will need for each category and then use an organization piece large enough to accommodate that category. If not, you will be creating another space that isn’t organized properly.
Check your prescriptions and other medications, spices, sunscreens, etc for expiration dates. It’s so easy to overlook these dates.
Look at your magazines, newspapers, newsletter and coupons and gift cards too. We don’t throw those items away on a regular basis. We remember we have them…and realize later they are three years old!
When arranging your space, put the most used items up front but, don’t let the other items be hidden either…that’s how we end up with doubles and triples of things.

So many great ideas here! I especially love the use of lazy Susans in different areas. Thank you for sharing. Though the rooms you presented don’t appear small at all to me, I appreciate this may be down to how well-organised they are with respect to lifestyle.

Thank you for watching. We downsized a few years ago and my old house had a lot of storage space. Linen closets, bathroom closets, large bedroom closets, etc…it does take some getting used to…and planning. The love lazy Susan’s! I even use them in my craft room. 😊
