I now realize I completely misread the situation, and it seems way more obvious now that Lilith had a deal with ADAM instead of against him!
Not the first time I Got something so blatantly wrong, won't be the last either, but promise I'll be doing a new video on the implications of that one sometime this week.

I have a thought, in Ep5 why do we not see Lilith's face? We see her in paintings and stuff, we know what she looks like, but why can we not see her? I think that wasn't lilith, her hair style doesn't seem like Lilith's hair. It looks more like Eve, with the bangs. We haven't seen Eve's face yet, yet we seen Lilith's face

From what we can see it does seem as if Lilith abandonned Charlie and Hell. But that has not to be the case because we dont know if Lilith being in heaven was her reward for services rendered or her price to pay for something Adam could provide her with. After all why should Lilith who as far as we know detests Adam willingly stay in heaven where his influence weighs heavier then hers. It should also be noted that Lilith wasnt the only one who had an deal with Heaven/Adam. Lucifer too did make a pact with Adam/heaven to protect the Hellborn demons from the extermination with the price likely being that he wouldnt interfere or try to stop the exterminations. This pact was broken by Adam when he attempted to kill Charlie what allowed Lucifer to join the battle. Maybe Liliths pact was something similar with the price being that she leaves hell and Charlie. THough then it would make little sense for lute saying that LIlith has to do something if she wants to stay in heaven.
Another thing i noted is that the mentioned foundations of heaven could very well be meant literal and not metaphorical. Hell could be the foundation on which heaven is built.

I highly suspect that Lilith wanted to protect her family, so the deal protects them - and Adam demanded that Lilith returned to his side (become subservient and all that).

So who in their right mind would try to start a rebellion against those they believe to be unkillable? Something I theorized was that back in episode 7 Alastor made a deal with Charlie. He said that Charlie would have to do a favor for him in return. This would be a perfect time for Alastor to make sure he has Charlie's help with freeing him from Lilith's grasp. It seems to make sense since Charlie is the daughter of Lilith so Alastor probably thinks she can change Lilith's mind and free Alastor.

In my opinion, I think she did not leave her family. She is there as part of the bargain to keep the hellborn and her family safe. She might be held prisoner and made a deal with Alastor to watch her child. Lute trying to force her to stop her child, since she is in charge now, and the deal with Adam is void. Luci and Lilith are still married, just separated being together for eons. Also when Lute insults her child, Lilith looks angry at Lute. With Eve I believe she Root. There is so much hate for Lilith and I don't see her just abandoning her family. I don't think Luci cheated with Eve, he was referring to the apple he gave Eve. It’s in my personal headcanon that when lilith left him for lucifer, he was angry and to get back at her he found a new wife just like that, only for her to cheat on him with lucifer as well. To which his anger is even more directed at lucifer. Then in a combination of destroying their family unit and a ‘if i cant have her no one can’ mindset, he makes a deal with lilith or lucifer or both that lilith leaves them and stays in heaven, no contact, and in exchange the hellborn demons [including charlie] as well as lucifer will be spared from the extermination. But now that charlie and lucifer had a hand in killing adam [even though they didnt outright kill him], lute is making a new deal with lilith. That’s kinda what i got from the finale.

And I was wondering about that part as well. I think, rhe german version means the second one, it would just make more sense to me that Alestor would sing about clipping his wings than him singing about getting some. Maybe the wings that were spoken about mean Lilith. With it being a play with words. Usually "clipping the wings" means loosing freedom. But in that case clipping the wings could be a hint to him having a deal with someone in heaven (maybe Lilith?) and him wanting to clip the wings means he wants to be free from that heavenly influence. It makes a lot of sense to me, that the writers of the show would play with common phrases and turn their meaning around. With Hazbin Hotel being a series about he'll and heaven it makes sense to use wordplays and play with what they mean, especially because the creative team behind the show has proven to be absolutely capable of using small, seemingly unimportant things and make them a hint for a greater thing going on in the background.

I think you are overthinking the Lute, Adam relationship and the deal with Lilith. Lute legitimately had respect and cared for Adam to the point of reaching out to Lilith forcing her to do something if she wants to stay in heaven (Adam made a deal with Lilith letting her stay with them in exchange of something, maybe to lie to Sera about the sinners so he can get a green light on the extermination plan).

my personal theory of Lilith is, Lil made deals with Al and Adam. i feel like at some point as Charlies hotel was being pitched or created and during the time of Lucifer and Lilith's divorce, Lilith went to Al an made a deal, forcing Alastor to keep an eye and "help" Charlie with her hotel but also make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble. The deal with adam might be her going back to her ex for a way out. I dont put it past Lilith to get tired of Lucifer being depressed about what happened so she tried to keep Charlie from turning into him but ultimately failing and deciding to abandoned and dip from her family.

Im really interested how they'll handle Lilith in Season 2, why she and Lucifer split up, why has she been hanging out in Heaven all this time and why she had seemingly abandoned her family? It really seems like she'll be and antagonist to Charlie in Season 2 which could be similar to Disenchantment and the character of Queen Dagmar who was the mother of the main protagonist Princess Bea and became a major antagonist to her in the show. I imagine this will cause Charlie major parental conflict.

When I first saw the video I thought the same that Lilith was just out for herself, but after some thought I believe she made a deal with Adam to stay in Heaven to 'pull the strings' in secret and actually give Hell the key they need to rise up.
We know that no one has been able to kill an angel prior to the show. And we know now that the reason for that is because no one had access to Angelic Steel. "Angels wield no shields, little armor and fight with reckless abandon." Carmilla continues to say, "Angelic steel isn't common, those who have it aren't exactly rushing to use it." So hell has been defenseless the entire time. Any attempts hell could make towards heaven would just result in a bloodbath at best. I think Lilith knew this, one way or another.
In the Lilith reveal, Lute says: "Adam is dead. Your deal is done, and I'm in charge now." This can be seen in a few ways, and at first I thought the deal was to have Adam killed. But I don't think that's the case anymore. The deal was with Adam, but I don't believe it was to have him die. I believe the deal was that Lilith would stay in heaven, safe from the other angels, if she stayed there and does not interact with anyone in hell. I could see Adam proposing this deal and be surprised that Lilith would agree. She would have no way to instruct her generals or anyone to fight back, or interact with her family. It's a major benefit to heaven and even if other angels of heaven knew of the deal, I don't think they would reject taking the queen off of the chess board. Lucifer is already too depressed to fight, and Charlie is a child not in control. It would snuff a rebellion (if any) was brewing.
By why though? Why would she willing do this if her goal is to fight heaven? It's because this was the only way to get angelic steel INTO hell. There was no way for a demon/sinner to get to heaven to get Angelic Steel. Yes they didn't know their own steel would be their downfall, but why would anyone in heaven give anyone in hell a weapon? A divine one at that? So how else can you get the weapons? By grabbing them from the attackers themselves.
I'll admit this is a far-fetched plan/theory, but how else would you fight against a force that you have no way of killing, but they have the key to the answer? I believe that Adam came to Lilith with this deal as a means to make things easier, and was surprised when Lilith accepted. When she did she got trapped in heaven, forced to wait for her people to get with the program and get enough steel to rise up.
In conclusion, she took this seemingly one-sided deal so that it'd give hell/Charlie an opening to get the resources needed to fight back. To actually stand a chance. Now that they have the steel they can defend themselves now, and potentially take the fight to heaven. Velvet already mentioned the idea of war, so I could see a fair amount of sinners wanting the same for one reason or another. The issue for Charlie now is if this is all part of the plan from the beginning, will her mother listen to her idea for the hotel? Or is Lilith too deep to compromise with heaven and live in peace with them?
Hopefully this theory makes sense! Even if this video was misread it did bring a lot of conversations and theories.

a large part of me thinks that Lilith found out the extermination was for all hells denizens, meaning it didn't exclude Charlie and Lucifer. I do get it that Lucifer and Lilith are strong but a continuous onslaught of angels wouldn't do good for the three of them, esp Charlie. This might have made Lilith struck a deal with Adam afterwards which would put Lucifer and Charlie from the executioners list, in exchange Lilith would stay in heaven so she can't cause a revolution in hell. But this is a big IF scenario, depending on the timeline and actual events on how the whole extermination started, I might be wrong.

What if Adam granted Lilith the option to go to heaven (in secret) if she’d make it look like the sinners are rising up against hell to give Adam an excuse to exterminate them? Now with Adam dead their deal can be in some way considered “done” and now that Lute is in charge she’d want to keep the extermination going but can’t due to Charlie showing that angels can be killed. She would allow Lilith to stay if she’d deal with them and possibly convincing Charlie that she shouldn’t kill angels since it can be seen as wrong

Maybe Lillith promised to stop instigating just so she could sabotage Sera and heaven.

Yeah, Lilith's deal was with Adam. Lute was just bringing his halo as a warning that Adam was gone and whatever deal they had for Lilith to be in Heaven no longer mattered, so she would have to clean up Charlie's mess if she wanted to remain in Heaven without being contested. Super curious to find out what that deal entailed, though. Sera was convinced of an uprising and Lilith was the one inspiring the rebellion. Cutting off the head of the rebellion by letting her into Heaven seems like the likely case.

  • @cathygrandstaff1957
    @cathygrandstaff1957 3 месяца назад +4

I’m mostly wondering why Adam never mentioned it. It seems like it would have been a natural comeback to Lucifer taunting Adam about stealing his first wife (and possibly his second) to say Lilith had run away to be with Adam. Meaning whatever the deal was it included not telling Lucifer and Charlie about Lilith.
To me her motives make a certain kind of sense if you remember her whole deal with Adam was not wanting to be subservient. While at first it looks like she and Lucifer rule Hell equally I think the sinners always considered him superior to her despite her being the ones leading them to rebel and I think this might have caused her to leave him. Alternatively we have a parallel to Lucifer’s fall from grace. One of the motives for Lucifer’s rebellion was that he had been the favorite creation of God, and then when Adam was created God told the angels that Adam was now the favorite and they’d better bow to him. Lucifer, the ex-favorite, was hurt by this and his pride wouldn’t let him bow to Adam so he rebelled. Lilith by contrast was clearly Lucifer’s most important person in the world until Charlie was born and then Charlie became his most important person. That didn’t mean he stopped loving Lilith but maybe she couldn’t stand not being the favorite anymore.

Here are a couple of things that people seem to dismiss as possibilities:
If Lilith made a deal with Adam to keep her family safe, why would Adam intentionally attack Charlie and her hotel. She would have died, had it not been for Lucifer coming to his daughters aid. So the deal was not to protect her family.
If she is being kept as a prisoner, why let her go back to hell?
She had no reaction to when Lute called her daughter a B#@%$. She only got angry when she was told to go deal with her daughter.
That is Lilith and Charlie is her daughter, because Lute calls her that. She is not Eve.
She does not give a damn about hell or her family if she is not even there to protect them.
The deal was basically to let her stay in heaven or on earth. Does not matter which one. It was a selfish deal.

If Adam turned bitter after being allowed to be the first man, and Lilith resents not being allowed to be the first woman - what does this mean for Eve who became the new "first woman" BUT could technically be blamed for introducing Sin into the world because of Lucifer? Are we to believe that this trio from Genesis all have a reason to hate the hand they were dealt because of their actions with no redeeming qualities? I don't know. Granted, Eve was not introduced alongside Adam as an exterminator, so maybe she has different values and is happy with her place and role in Heaven. Hopefully ^_^

Ok I know I sound like a coper and I am but.
I believe Adam and Lilith's deal is on the redemption of the Sinners in hell.
After Adam killed Sir Pentious with a holy blast, he only appeared in Heaven after Adam died and spawned infront of Sera and Emily which is weird because the main entrance is with St. Peter.
And after Adam used his angelic abilities on Alastor, Alastor's powers got turned off like all of it and after his near death experience with Adam he was craving for more "Freedom".
The reason is that Eve and probably Lucifer is keeping these Sinners in hell for eternity, Angels just dont kill the sinners and they are perma gone, Vivzie said it when Sinners die by Angelic weapons they become one with the infustructure of Hell. So I believe this is a way of Preserving their souls to keep both the population of hell in check and to save their souls once redemption was possible.
It is such a reach I know but we know that Adam didn't eat the fruit so all of his actions from then to now is not by Free will but from instinct. So he is by all means a sinless man and his death could have been something more as if it was forgiving his children's sins.

And now you have, because of lil ole me (or someone else who has the same thought at the same time I did) but I'm flabbergasted, flattered, and so proud you mentioned my theory and that you were influenced by it 🥺😭🥺😭

I also think that lute was refering to a deal with adam since she said "your" instead of "our", also i would consider that lilith was the one with the upper hand in the deal, mainly because considering adam personality, im sure he would have use that as a comeback when lucifer was making fun of him about his 2 wifes.
I might be wrong and missing something... although, it might also be possible that lute said "your deal" if she was force to take that deal by lilith but i guess thats just me overthinking...

I don’t think Lute had a deal with Lilith. She says “Adam is dead, your deal is done. I’m in charge now” which can be implied to mean Lute had some involvement in Adam’s death, but I think it was just worded poorly. I’m pretty sure what she meant was ‘Adam is dead, so your deal you had with him is no longer valid. Also I’m replacing him’ This would also work with what she said and makes a lot more sense. Lilith made a deal with Adam and now that he’s dead the deal no longer applies.

I have a theory that Lilith was forced to be in heaven because she is the main reason of hell powers, so the exterminators work can be easier, I think the creator what us to think that she is evil to hide the real antagonist, Lilith it's a character made for been misunderstanding and controversial, but at the same time if on the screen we see her as evil, in the background she always seems so nice, so I don't think she's the evil one.

I am still unsure that it is Lilith on the beach. The one in the flashback has her face "covered", but we also have Lilith's face in the pictures.
The woman on the beach has her eyes and hair covered. So it could still just be Eve. Even when it is Lilith she could have selfish to selfless reasons to be there.
It's also weird that Adam never flext with Lilith's location to hurt Lucifer or Charley...

I suspect it is that Lilith and Adam are more of less the male and female version of each other. And I suspect they are looking for someone who played one of the Plastics in Mean Girls or one of the Heathers to play her. She probably is just always looking for something better and at first Lucifer was that charming nerdy guy that was the extreme opposite of Adam, then everything happened and it could be Charlie more or less was becoming like Lucifer without the snark factor. And she was more or less hoping either her child would be just like her or she might be the famed antichrist (never mind that Charlie does have some qualities that makes you wonder and that Zaggie and Angel might be more important to the fate of the world). But I started to have a thought last night about Alastor that is more or less related. What if he isn't Alastor? What if he is just posing as him and Zestial's question about him falling into holy arms is partially true. He got caught and more or less Lilith negotiated a deal and it took the angel who was taking his place time to download on him and his allies and enemies. But God worried about this and offered the angel, Michael in this theory., a deal. There is some thought he was actively the bad one who then turned on Lucifer to make himself look good. But it would also explain how he became fond of Charlie over these six months, he is her uncle.

  • @raniaminhas3406

I'm honestly super excited to see Lucifer and Lilith on different sides. Lucifer wants to support Charlie and the hotel as it's reawoken his own passions and dreams. Meanwhile Lilith will want Charlie’s hotel destroyed because it fulfills her dreams and ambitions (which seems to be to stay in heaven).
And Charlie who started the hotel in her mother’s memory and was inspired by her, has to face the reality of the Morningstar family possibly having a civil war amongst themselves. Lucifer and Charlie vs Lilith and in the end what she believed of her mother wasn’t true, just like the misunderstanding she had about her father.
We know Lucifer loves Charlie ‘more than anything’ more than hell, heaven, himself. And probably even more than his ex-wife. Meanwhile since Adam symbolised toxic masculinity I could see Lilith embodying toxic femininity as the first woman. Selfish, narcissistic, shallow and self absorbed. Unlike Lucifer who will choose his daughter over himself and possibly his wife, I could see Lilith being the opposite, Charlie’s dreams are inconsequential to her in the grand scheme of getting what she wants.

It seemed to me that Alastor thought he couldn't be harmed by angelic weapons. Like what Carmilla had said about the Exterminators. They act like they can't be hurt. So with that thought Alastor was genuinely surprised that Adams power could actually hurt him. Only then does Alastor openly question his "deal". He also didn't seem to care about angering Lucifer who also would have angelic power etc. So i think up to that point Alastor didnt think he could be harmed by it. Unless its he is powerless to angelic power which is why he would need the deal broken to fight Lucifer. Just a few thoughts.

And an interesting trait about her, are the many eyes that surround the character, and those eyes can be seen an variety of times through the 8 episodes of the first season, SPECIALLY on alastor's shield and broadcast room in episode 8 where he sings about his deal, which may not be with lilith as everyone think but with Roo, who keeps an eye on alastor at all times

I love how Lilith is just chilling on the beach while her husband Lucifer and daughter Charlie are kicking Angel's ass in hell.
But so much for the theory Lilith is Eve. on the beach that's really Lilith, because of the hair. But in the flashback it was definitely another person, Eve. And did Alastor really lose his soul to Lilith if she was in heaven and had a contract with Adam? Maybe the owner of his soul is Eve/Roo? But what is Lilith up to? Does she really care about her husband and daughter? Does Lucifer know his wife is in heaven? Oh, so many questions...
