i found that video really hard to watch because in too much of it make me remember on how i was and still is. But thanks you and I'm getting my weekly psychotherapy so getting better.
A Blitzø video is gonna be wild condering how insecure and depressed he is. He legitimately doesn't value himself at all and talks terribly about himself which is a form of selfharm.
He also risks himself out of all the photos he has in his house, when Loona brings him home from Beelzebub's party you can see he just risked himself of all the photos, this is so sad man.
After this analysis of how Paimon's parenting affected Stolas, it really makes it so much clearer to me how hard Stolas is trying to be a present and attentive parent to Octavia. He comforts her after a nightmare as a child, he takes her to LooLoo land because she loved it when she was younger, and when he realizes that she's not having fun, and that she's scared of losing him while his and Stella's divirce is happening, he listens to her and consoles her, and then asks her what she wants to do, and is willing to do that instead even if it's not something he would enjoy as much. Even when he makes mistakes as a parent he adresses it and does his best to make things right.
When you have parents with terrible traits it usually goes two ways I noticed. Either the people become like their parents, or they want to be everything their parents weren't. Good to see Stolas is the latter.
Yep. That's how it goes. I always remember how my dad's behavior hurt me and vow "I will NOT be like him" when I do. And I'm not even married! I'm not becoming a father any time soon.
@@MediadosThe latter thing could also be to a detrimental level. If you were raised by excessively protective and strict parents, for example, and you want to be a parent completely opposite to that, you might end up with giving your kid(s) _too much_ freedom. It’s a balance.
@@MediadosThere is a third way. You realize how terrible your parents were, how ruined as a person you are, & choose never to have children, thus for your part, taking the responsibility of ending the cursed abuse. That was my decision.
Agreed. Stolas is a goofy guy, but he's hurting. Blitz is the same with that ending where he goes home and cries being the most damning. I kinda sympathize with him about that feeling of isolation. It's hard to realize, trying to do better myself, that there are people around you that do care. It's a dark, lonely road.
Fun fact: both fathers (Paimon and Cash Buckso) in this episode are voiced by the same voice actor - Jonathan Freeman. Better known for his role as Jafar.
@LightningPie It's hard to tell for most of his dialogue, but the way he finished saying "There are _scarier_ things, _aren't_ there son?" had a similar rasp to it as Freeman's upper register -- you can hear a bit of Jafar's malicious glee in the delivery there, as well as his disguised voice as the old man in the palace cells.
It came full circle when Stolas almost made the same mistake as his father. He didn't want to deal with an emotional problem so he went to the circus. Season 1 - Episode 2, in order to get away from his POed wife, Stolas took his daughter, Olivia, to the circus. Worse, he brought the imp he was having an affair with. It all came to a head where Olivia stormed off, but Stolas cared enough to find her and realize he was wrong for dragging her there. Then he asked her what she wanted to do. Seeing Helluva Boss again showed Stolas' growth from how his father raised his child.
Yeah, but his early care for Octavia makes me lean toward a mistake commonly made even by the most loving parents. She admitted that she did love to go there as a child, but she's in that teen angst changing where she wants to separate herself from childhood and the vision she had of their "happy" family. She's raised by a narcissist, too. Stella may care for her but also not at the expense of her own comfort, also uses her to get back at Stolas.
@@michellewest4796 Exactly what i've been saying. Like people were saying Stolas is a bad parent for not realizing she didn't like it when for all he knew, she was just being an angtsy, sarcastic teen, not that she really didn't want to go.
I remember as a child I really wanted to have my party at the skating rink. My family went there a lot, maybe two or three times a month. I wasn’t a kid that asked for much. My parents said they would try. My mom was dropping me off at school and said, “We booked the party at the bowling alley.” I replied, “Oh but that wasn’t what I asked for.” She started screaming at me and told me that I was ungrateful. That I was lucky I was even getting a birthday party. I said I was sorry. Later that same year my younger sister got to have her birthday party at the skating rink.
You know that reminds me of this one Christmas where my parents bought me the exact same video game they got me last year. However, I was smart enough to keep my mouth shut and just smile and say thank you.
I want to give you hugs and tell you you're not taking up too much space. And stop saying sorry. (I have a friend who constantly apologises for everything. I tell her to stop and she apologises again, it's funny even though I'm trying to reassure her.)
Stolas brings Octavia to Loo Loo Land under the misconception that it will cheer her up just like how Paimon took him to the circus. Despite Stolas being genuinely dedicated to making Octavia happy, he still overlooked just how much she hated being there like how Paimon did with him.
Well, I think in the case of Stolas taking Octavia to Loo Loo Land that wasn't so much Stolas didn't care about Octavia's feelings as it was Stolas having trouble accepting his daughter's growing up. There are some parents, like Paimon, who just can't wait for their children to be adults and taking care of themselves, but then there are some parents like Stolas who never want their kids to grow up and just want to read them bedtime stories and tie their shoes for them forever.
Octavia admits that she used to love going there as a child. Young Stolas appears to have never liked the circus. Probably overstimulated and uncomfortable. He made a mistake but it wasn't from not caring what she wants, it's from trying to turn back time a little, to what used to make her smile.
I also always hone in on the fact that Blitz's dad asks, "Don't you want to help your mom and me?" And Blitz says, "Of course I want to help mom." Pretty telling even at a young age.
I laughed so bad at that but I know my mother is a lot like that. She can't stand kids crying. She also gets mad at anyone displaying any emotion that isn't happy or content
@@wildfyah When I was very young once, my father said something that hurt my feelings, so I started crying. He didn't try to comfort me, just ignored it; so I kept crying. Finally, when he got tired of hearing it, he dragged me into the backyard, wrestled my shirt off to "get all the anger out" (because apparently he can't tell sadness from anger), then held me upside-down by my ankles over the pool until I was too scared to keep crying. When he put me right-side up again, he asked why I was crying, and I told him what he'd said had hurt my feelings; to which he responded, "No one can hurt your feelings unless you let them," and that was it. No responsibility, no comfort, no empathy... just blamed me for being a sad child and physically assaulted me so I'd shut up and stop annoying him. It's the only time he ever put his hands on me, and it was like 25 years ago, but I can never forget that. The whole time, my stepmom stood to the side telling him "this isn't the right way to handle this", but did nothing more to try to stop him.
For Blitz, I've noticed that the M&M's represent what he wants, FizzerOzzy represents what he CAN be with Stolas, and Striker represents who Blitz could become if he gives in to his hatrid.
Hey can we have a part 2, seeing how this affects stolas as an adult. And how he is suffering and he latches on to one thing that makes him feel better to a detrimental degree. It's clear he is a better father than his own dad but it's also clear he has a hard time placing himself in others shoes.
What's funny, I've seen in other places that owls/birds imprint on the first thing they see as parental/affectionate figure. Since Stolas is basically raised by imp servants, it's no shock his first true friend - and the person he wants the most as a partner - is an imp.
Would love a video on adult Stolas. He's a big ole barrel of issues but it would be nice to see how he compares to his dad and how his connections have effected how he acts and treats others.
So his name is Blitzo. You are correct. In the same episode, we see him talking with Stolas, and when Stolas asks if there was an o at the end of his name, he says the o is silent now. Meaning at a certain point in time, he decided to stop referring to himself as Blitzo, and to start referring to himself as BlitzØ(Blitz).
Blitzo was the name he used in the circus. After he left, he changed it to Blitzø. You can see posters on the wall in various places of him as a circus performer and the "o" in the posters is slashed out in marker to be a ø. That's why he had such an emotional reaction when Stolas mentioned the "o"
I cheered out loud to see your Stolas cosplay, it looks amazing! So glad you’re covering Helluva Boss. Paimon being a narcissist makes so much sense for how our owl boi turned out. I noticed that when Blitzo’s dad asks “don’t you wanna help out me and your mama?” Blitzo says he wants to help his mama, no mention of his dad, maybe a little of that resistance showing up?
Upside of Stolas being a son of Paimon: Having Jafar/emergency food as a parent. Downside or Stolas being a son of Paimon: Having Jafar as a parent with no emergency food.
You did a great job making that Stolas cosplay. I'm so happy your covering Helluva Boss. This series is a therapist's goldmine. I feel so bad for Stolas, he just want be loved and feel real passion. And things only get harder for him as an adult. I'm glad he was at least able to break the generational trauma cycle and raise his own child with love and care.
This just makes me feel even worse for Stolas, realizing just how hard he's trying not to be his father with his relationships with Octavia and Blitzo.
I love how much detail you put into your cosplays, you even did the little lines under stolas's eyes! I'm also really glad you're covering helluva boss, there's more episodes of it than hazbin hotel so there's way more detail to go off to look into the characters minds, I'm especially excited for a possible fizzarolli episode!
I had a coworker at a nursing home that told me how narcissistic and physically abusive her mother was and that’s why she ended up in that literal ‘caretaker’ role.
My dad neglected me but also forcefully groomed me to take his place at his job. He often used passive aggressiveness to full fledged aggression with guilt tripping to narrow my options to only be ones of his approval.
I don’t know if it is my trauma speaking but every time I watch that episode and Blitzø’s father say “there are scarier things, aren’t there son” I feel my fight or flight activating.
My ex was raised by a narcissist and I learned that it can really change a person deeply and in a scary way. There were things my ex couldn't grasp about common sense and basic decency that were second nature to me but to him it was an alien concept.
One thing I noticed is that when Blitz’ dad says “don’t you want to help me and your mama out?” And Blitz replies “Of course I want to help MAMA”. Note - he doesn’t say anything about dad.
My dad is a narcissist, and it took me a while to realize that I have a hard time experiencing emotions. It wasn't until high school that I started to realize this. I was with a group of friends, and I laughed at something, and one of them told me that it was the first time they ever heard me laugh. That's when I realized that I didn't really show or experience emotions at the same intensity that others do.
Stolas didn't have much choices when he was a child. His father was making choices for him. Stolas's marriage was doomed from the start; however, the only thing he got out of it was Octavia. Stolas tried to make the marriage life work, but Stella was too cruel and horrible. He endured for his daughter. The moment he and Blitz slept together, it was the moment he was happy and he defied everything his family tried to make him do. Stella was angry at Stolas for defying her. Stolas goes against his father's wishes. The deal was done when Stolas got Octaiva as his heir. Stolas cheated on his wife with an lower class demon, an imp, this really humiliated Stella; however, Stolas said that cheating was a betrayal, but due to Stella not loving Stolas at all. Stella was asking for it when that happened. Divorcing Stella was another humiliation for her. Stolas really needs to talk to Octavia and tell her what is really going on. Stolas really loves Blitz, but Blitz has his own problems that he has trouble working out. Stolas needs people that cares about him. Stolas has Octavia, but he needs to let Blitz know how he really feels about him and show him that he's nothing like other snobby royals.
Seeing Stolla's upbringing and life has taught me well that, while the wealthy don't need to worry about the financial stuff (food, home, shelter, cloths ETC) they very well have to worry about social pressures, keeping up appearances and expectations and even physical and mental abuse. its easy to forget that they are also human, special if they are brought up to think that everyone else isnt.
Yeah, I think we've been conditioned as a society to believe that money will solve all our problems. I catch myself thinking that sometimes. If I had more money, I could make this problem go away, and that problem, and that one! I tend to forget there's problems people with money have.
Fun fact! Both Stolas' and Blitzø's fathers were voiced by the same voice actor (Jonathon Freeman). I like to think it's symbolic that they both had such rough upbringings on different ends of the spectrums. I don't know if I am ready for the Full Moon episode, they need to talk so much 😭😭
An important little detail in the interaction between Blitzø and his dad: his dad says, "Don't you want to help *me and* your mama out?" and Blitzø only replies, "Of course I want to help *mom* out." Even at that young age, he didn't really care about helping his dad; his mom clearly was the only parent who mattered to him. Which makes what we learn about events later even more heartbreaking. Stolas being told he's boring, and then sincerely and genuinely apologizing for that, makes me cry. It's literally "I'm sorry I'm not good enough," which I'd only expect to hear sarcastically. Hearing someone say that and actually mean it... it hits hard.
Little fun fact for those who didn’t pick up on it; Paimon is voiced by Jonathan Freeman, who voiced Jafar in Aladdin. As is Cash Buckzo, Blitzø’s dad.
I'm so glad you're tackling this series now. Helluva Boss is a treasure trove for therapist analysis. The only people I think would have less than enough material would be Millie
When I saw this episode if Helluva Boss, I it caused me enough anxiety that I wrote down to talk about this with my therapist. I identify with Stolas to an uncomfortable degree. My first boyfriend even got me an owl plushy because he said I reminded him of an owl. I'll also be taking notes from your video, Georgia, to talk about with my therapist as well. Thank you for making this video. And thank you for always being so awesome. Your intelligence and insights are admirable.
Thank you, Georgia Dow, for covering Helluva Boss! I was hoping you would talk about stolas eventuallty, and i was kind of worried you'd stop doing these videos on the Hellaverse (or whatever it's called).
I have a narcissistic Parent, it's very hard to navigate life when your parents emotions come first before yours, and that's speaking on the whole lifelong relationship with parents. If parents didn't help you work through struggles and problems as a kid, it will most likely be the same in adulthood which is very scary and hard because no matter the situation, taking on your emotions is too much work. If you're like me and taught yourself to guide your own way through emotions and growing up, and hard times etc. You should be giving yourself more credit because we are strong, even when we feel beaten down from this.. Stay blessed Georgia
I did not expect to be called out so much in the first half of the video. While not narcissistic, at least to my knowledge, my parents have had to work a lot in life, so time's never really been spent growing that bond. Not to mention they're from families who own tease just for fun so I've had that as an issue growing up and a mildly acquired trait.
Stolas truly is the loneliest and tragic character in this show (along with Blitz but he at least had his momma, his twin sister and Fizz). It's no wonder he's become so depressed to the point where he doesn't bother to count his anti-depressiva pills anymore. His song tells it all. He never had a choice. His life was dictated from day one. Having that affair with Blitz was the first time he truly chose for himself and wasn't an obligation (yes, he loves Via but even siring her was an obligation) and it made him feel something. But of course, he was punished for finally raising his voice and choosing for himself for once. And all he really wants is unconditional love. Someone to tell him he matters as a person. Because you see Stolas, Blitz was not the only one who was used as a means to an end. You were treated in such a way your whole life. And that's pretty damn sad.
1) This felt like the first half of a great piece on the development of Stolas' personality. PLEASE do a second, showing the adult Stolas, as a textbook example of an adult child of narcissistic parents! I'm thrilled with your Hazbin series, and this is a helluva episode 1 for Helluva Boss! 🎉
Stolas was the first character I could relate in an emotional level, I've never seen a character show MY feelings on screen, it's why he's my favorite character of all time
I want to see what you think of Loona. I see her as a person who grew up without any parental love, and now that she is showered with that love from Blitz she has no idea what to do with it.
I just feel so incredibly bad for Stolas (and Blitzo as well) for having parents that just care so little about them.😢😢😢 To this day, I still do what Stolas does sometimes and apologize for things that don’t even really call for it or if I get excited about something I like but the other person is just tuned out, I apologize if I was taking away their time.😔 There’s certainly a lot to work with with Blitzo’s upbringing as well as Moxxie being raised by a psychopath and Fizzarolli experiencing golden child syndrome/imposter syndrome/extreme pressure to perform well for the sake of the circus.😕😥 Just all of them having their own types of trauma.😢
Thank you so much for mentioning the wrist grab. My parents would hurt, and drag me and my sib around by our wrists. It freaks us both still as adults, and we've had to stop them doing it to my niblings.
When I was very young, I remember asking my Dad why people would want to have me around if I wasn't providing anything (such as being funny or buying things or whatever). He said people would want me around simply because I am me. I have never understood this, and it must have been true for a long time... But now, my (ex-) "best friend" decided they don't want to talk to me anymore, we used to hang out 3-4 days a week and with no communication no care or concern at all they just don't want to be friends anymore. I know it's their choice and doesn't have anything to do with me, but then how can I trust that anyone will want me around? who am I? clearly not a desirable person to be friends with. I complain too much and want others to actually care about me, but that is too much pressure on everyone else around me, its up to me to deal with my own issues and be happy-go-lucky, then friends will want to be around me again :)
5:26 It's also pretty horrible imo that he is (canonically) actually gay. So being, 1, forced into marrying someone you don't love, 2, not ever going to even learn to love them. This also reminded me of how at the end of the episode "Ozzie's" he tries to say something about his real feelings for Blitzø but his own feelings and opinions as a child being brushed off he has a hard time trying to say it, most likely afraid of ruining something with Blitzø. And Blitzø is used to not being cared for so he pushes it away like it isn't real because he doesn't know how to handle any of it. I'm excited for the rest of Helluva Boss and looking forward to maybe a Blitzø and/or Fizzarolli episode!
Blitzo is a character who has a chronic self-loathing problem just like Angel Dust. only through a different set of circumstances. I don't know if you plan to make anymore videos on Helluva Boss, but I just thought I'd give you an idea if you ever feel like it.
I wonder if Blitz would fall into the category of borderline personality disorder. Especially since those who deal with BPD can be self destructive towards themselves and others
Yay! I’ve been waiting for this! Thank you! Stolas and Biltzø’s adult relationship is a fascinating cocktail of dysfunction, so I really hope this gets enough views to justify more on them! Trivia if you didn’t know, Stolas’ father has the same voice actor as Disney’s Jafar.
man, this vibes so much with my relationship with my mother. I have been asked several times why I don't seek out a relationship and have kids and I always end up saying, "I'm too selfish and about myself. I seen how that affected me from my mother and I don't want to do it to any children of my own."
I sort of wish you’d have gone into the fact that Stolas mirrored his father’s behavior in taking Octavia to the circus when she didn’t want to go, but figured it out and corrected.
My mind is actually being blown right now realizing how my dad manipulated me as a kid. Something that stood out to me was him only doing things he wanted to do while dismissing my own interests. He was a huge nascar fan and I have no interest in cars, but the only time we ever hung out one on one, it had to do with cars. He would take me to car shows, races, watch it on tv with me… even the one time he took me to Disney, he immediately went to the go-karts instead of any of the rides I wanted to do.
You really need to make videos on the relationship between Stella and Stolas (the impact of arranged marriages on the people and families they build) and also on the impact it had on Octavia.
Paimon's parenting is interesting to be honest like he may mostly care about only power and wanting a lot of heirs for some reason but at least he is trying to cheer Stolas up after hearing the arrangement marriage news even though the first method with it was a big face palm.
I was so ignored by my own family growing up that I make sure to take the steps in all my relationships to make sure they know how much I care and love them. Sometimes I think I'm too much😅
17:18 Notice in the moment when young Blitzø is confronting his Father when his dad manipulates him his response is "..Of Course I wanna help Momma.." He already hated his father, but he still cared for his Mom that probably was the only one that cares truly for him.
I cannot tell you the amount of instances my parents made me feel like shit for basically being a kid. There were so many times I was screamed that for no reason. And manipulated into not trusting my own memory of the situation and feeling crazy. And now I had to become this version of myself who's a piece a crap just to protect my own peace of mind. Now realizing that they have narcissistic traits just makes everything make sense. I'm trying to get away, hopefully I can achieve this.
You could literally cover most of the characters in the show by just talking about their daddy issues back-to-back. Blitz, Moxie, Octavia, all daddy issues! Kind of wish they had sprinkled in some mommy issues for equality lol
@@PeachBoba1523 True. We just haven't gotten to see those issues with Octavia yet. Both episodes with her in them focused on her relationship with her dad.
@@ohdahngboi_2237 from cues, stella seems disinterested and uses her as a weapon in the divorce. she doesn't really seem to care about octavia, so it seems that she is neglectful at best, and emotionally abusive at worst.
Here’s something interesting I heard in another video In Stolas’ portraits we see that his favorite toy growing up was a plush imp, so playing with Blitz(o) could subconsciously feel like his favorite toy come to life and taking him on a fun adventure, which would be a dream come true for many kids Especially when you take into account how, as you described, Stolas is very drawn to Blitz(o)’s adventurous and carefree as it’s very exciting and new for him
As flawed as they are, it is encouraging to see both Stolas and Blitzo making the effort to be better fathers to Octavia and Luna, and for the most part they have succeeded on that front.
stolas is my favorite character, he is a very deep and well written character, i want to protect him 😭 i love that you started this helluva boss series with him! maybe we'll have another video about his adulthood? 👀
I'm hoping you consider for this series a video on relationship dynamics, since we have 3 different couples of note in this series that vary in functionality (Vortex and Bee haven't been shown as much, so while they are charming there might not be much to work with those 2). The pairing of Blitz and Stolas in particular is very controversial, as while there are major issues many of us still for some reason want to see it work and improve despite seeing the toxicity, and I have no clue as to why we value this toxic ship so much
More! Just because I eventually want to see someone try to address Blitzø, who has been referred to as a walking ball of trauma trying to imitate a person. Also, Loona's rejection issues, and Moxie's inferiority complex.

That I was lucky I was even getting a birthday party. I said I was sorry. Later that same year my younger sister got to have her birthday party at the skating rink.
I'm sorry you had to experience that.
thats rough buddy
You know that reminds me of this one Christmas where my parents bought me the exact same video game they got me last year. However, I was smart enough to keep my mouth shut and just smile and say thank you.
Mother(bleep)-er. ):
Yeah like children would remember that kind of detail, seems like a blind thing for your parents to consider. :/
I named my, now 11 month old kitten, Stolas.
Aww I bet he's a cutie
Good.
Yes, beautiful. Now all we need is a crown and a red ginger about 3 years younger andd call him blitzo or for speed Blitz

Ai, why won't you *_love_* me, distant father?? 😭
@@emilyrln too funny, too relatable💀💀
As someone raised by a narcissist, I feel like if I SPEAK I’m taking up too much space.
So much of this speaks to my experience.
I know it awful and everything but when paimon says "cease this bitch crying" has such an amazing delivery and makes me chuckle a bit every time
I laughed so bad at that but I know my mother is a lot like that. She can't stand kids crying. She also gets mad at anyone displaying any emotion that isn't happy or content
@@wildfyah yikes.
It's weird, Stolas IS objectively special, but he was never treated as such
This follows. Stolas is a psychologist's field day! Never thought I'd see the day that Georgia Dowe reviewed Helluva Boss 😂
So is Fizz & Blitz
My dad is a narc parent and I cling to Stolas so much! He's the father I WISH I had.
Same here! Both my parents were narcissistic.

Sameee, I'm more like Stolas is so me
Hey can we have a part 2, seeing how this affects stolas as an adult. And how he is suffering and he latches on to one thing that makes him feel better to a detrimental degree. It's clear he is a better father than his own dad but it's also clear he has a hard time placing himself in others shoes.
Haaaa, she’s gonna have to bleep so much of what adult Stolas says and does, more than is already bleeped out! It’s gonna be great.
Maybe a good discussion to be had I his daughters video of there is one
your points about "i did this for you, now you have to do something for me" are spot on
I really hope that Stolas and Blitzø will eventually work out, they certainly are already both much better fathers than they had.
I hope things will work out, but there are going to be challenges for them to face.
as a child of two narcissistic parents, I feel this in my bones
Same. I'm away from them now and no longer feel bound to them, just trying to heal the pathetic person they made me

I’m so glad that you’ve started watching Helluva boss!
Probably explains Stolas' attraction to him: he's one of the only people in his life that _isn't_ a raging narcissist.
@@Thoralmir
Right, he’s *just* raging 😅
I cheered out loud to see your Stolas cosplay, it looks amazing! So glad you’re covering Helluva Boss. Paimon being a narcissist makes so much sense for how our owl boi turned out.
I noticed that when Blitzo’s dad asks “don’t you wanna help out me and your mama?” Blitzo says he wants to help his mama, no mention of his dad, maybe a little of that resistance showing up?
As someone with a narcissistic father, i also let these things slip.
the more I look at newborn Stolas, the cuter it gets to me
Upside of Stolas being a son of Paimon: Having Jafar/emergency food as a parent.
Downside or Stolas being a son of Paimon: Having Jafar as a parent with no emergency food.
I love “therapist analysis” videos, because they are like therapy but actually affordable and better quality
Real therapy could probably help you more than these videos, though, these are interesting
You did a great job making that Stolas cosplay. I'm so happy your covering Helluva Boss. This series is a therapist's goldmine. I feel so bad for Stolas, he just want be loved and feel real passion. And things only get harder for him as an adult. I'm glad he was at least able to break the generational trauma cycle and raise his own child with love and care.
i know he is such a tragic tale but also so caring at the same time
@@pixeld8zwhat?
This just makes me feel even worse for Stolas, realizing just how hard he's trying not to be his father with his relationships with Octavia and Blitzo.
This made me realize that maybe the best thing Stolas' dad did for Stolas was not be present 😢

Just like my husband tells me about our traumas from life. "It's not your fault, but now it's your responsibility" really love your videos btw!
I always love when someone notices how stolas laughs like his dad. Look at this episode and then back in looloo land
Minor note, when lil Blitzø is asked if he wants to help his dad and mom, Blitzø expressly says he wants to help his mom but not his dad
I don’t know if it is my trauma speaking but every time I watch that episode and Blitzø’s father say “there are scarier things, aren’t there son” I feel my fight or flight activating.
Gotta love the way Georgia just goes 😐 when Paimon compliments himself
My ex was raised by a narcissist and I learned that it can really change a person deeply and in a scary way. There were things my ex couldn't grasp about common sense and basic decency that were second nature to me but to him it was an alien concept.
One thing I noticed is that when Blitz’ dad says “don’t you want to help me and your mama out?” And Blitz replies “Of course I want to help MAMA”. Note - he doesn’t say anything about dad.
I think we can all agree that little Stolas hooting is the most precious thing ever 😍 ❤ 🦉

So glad she started with Stolas. Easily one of my favorite characters.
HELLUVA BOSS!!!
And we start with STOLAS!? Hell yeah!
Stolas is such a comfort character to me, absolutely fits most of how I was raised and it makes me feel seen from how he is portrayed in the show!
Honestly, I love that a) the characters are written so well that a therapist can talk about them, and b) that you were able to talk about them so well
Thank you, Georgia Dow, for covering Helluva Boss!
Stay blessed Georgia
thank you, my friend
I'm having kind of a bad time right now, I needed these words
@@Angelica-sq9lh so glad to help in any way
I did not expect to be called out so much in the first half of the video.
I just feel so incredibly bad for Stolas (and Blitzo as well) for having parents that just care so little about them.😢😢😢 To this day, I still do what Stolas does sometimes and apologize for things that don’t even really call for it or if I get excited about something I like but the other person is just tuned out, I apologize if I was taking away their time.😔
There’s certainly a lot to work with with Blitzo’s upbringing as well as Moxxie being raised by a psychopath and Fizzarolli experiencing golden child syndrome/imposter syndrome/extreme pressure to perform well for the sake of the circus.😕😥 Just all of them having their own types of trauma.😢
There is... SO MUCH MORE to go over with Stolas.
4:15 stolas' mind: oooo, magic. Ooooooo shiny
5:26
It's also pretty horrible imo that he is (canonically) actually gay.
Georgia! I think you'd find it cute that at 11:49 Stolas' laugh is the sound a baby owl makes! :D the more you know!
I'm just seeing this in my feed and I'm so excited. I love stolas so much. He's such a tragic character.
It’s really admirable that you’re that self aware of your flaws. So many parents don’t have that ability and end up hurting their kids.
I sort of wish you’d have gone into the fact that Stolas mirrored his father’s behavior in taking Octavia to the circus when she didn’t want to go, but figured it out and corrected.
I'm so thankful that you've looked at Stolas. He is my favourite and he really needs therapy. The poor guy
Can’t wait for more helluva boss video. I would suggest stolas part two as an adult. Another can of worms
I'm so glad you decided to cover Helluva. This show is absolutely swimming in mental issues that need to be addressed, and you do it so well.
The best cosplay until now🙌
Georgia serving therapist analysis and talent with characterization
You really need to make videos on the relationship between Stella and Stolas (the impact of arranged marriages on the people and families they build) and also on the impact it had on Octavia.
It's sad, that I can relate to Stolas a lot and I wasn't even raised by narcissist parents.
Regretfully, yes: I am the child of a narcissist.
Paimon's parenting is interesting to be honest like he may mostly care about only power and wanting a lot of heirs for some reason but at least he is trying to cheer Stolas up after hearing the arrangement marriage news even though the first method with it was a big face palm.
I think he was only trying to shut him up
@@skarlar-rx7rj Yeah, he was trying to make him shut up. Why he's also asking for Blitz, it's just to shut up his child not that he actually cares.
Paimon is that type of parent that spoils their children rotten just to bribe them off.
That's why he's so good at daddy'ing 😂
Because he likes the idea that he is the best at Daddying, not because he actually wants Stolas to be happy.
I’ve had person experience with this, and it’s nice having someone actually talk about it in detail
I love this. You're going to have a field day analyzing Blitzo, he has so much trauma/self hatred
Having a mom like Stella would cause mommy issues
@@PeachBoba1523 True. We just haven't gotten to see those issues with Octavia yet. Both episodes with her in them focused on her relationship with her dad.

Don't worry, we'll probably get plenty of that in Hazbin Hotel season 2
Here’s something interesting I heard in another video
In Stolas’ portraits we see that his favorite toy growing up was a plush imp, so playing with Blitz(o) could subconsciously feel like his favorite toy come to life and taking him on a fun adventure, which would be a dream come true for many kids
Especially when you take into account how, as you described, Stolas is very drawn to Blitz(o)’s adventurous and carefree as it’s very exciting and new for him
As flawed as they are, it is encouraging to see both Stolas and Blitzo making the effort to be better fathers to Octavia and Luna, and for the most part they have succeeded on that front.
Yay. My favorite character first.
stolas is my favorite character, he is a very deep and well written character, i want to protect him 😭 i love that you started this helluva boss series with him! maybe we'll have another video about his adulthood? 👀
I'm hoping you consider for this series a video on relationship dynamics, since we have 3 different couples of note in this series that vary in functionality (Vortex and Bee haven't been shown as much, so while they are charming there might not be much to work with those 2). The pairing of Blitz and Stolas in particular is very controversial, as while there are major issues many of us still for some reason want to see it work and improve despite seeing the toxicity, and I have no clue as to why we value this toxic ship so much
Oh my I was so raised by a narcissist but who didn’t want me to be like them and so they just became absent I couldn’t click this fast enough
>our self esteem is strongly linked to how we are treated when v young.
well that explains a lot.

Just because I eventually want to see someone try to address Blitzø, who has been referred to as a walking ball of trauma trying to imitate a person.
Also, Loona's rejection issues, and Moxie's inferiority complex.
