- Went for something a little different this time. Hope you like it. This is Blade and Sorcery U11, no mods, no commentary, no bs dungeon run. Nice and simple.
I understand "the best" is hyperbole but I hope it was at least top 5 for you. Thanks for watching! P.S. the combat encounters were shot in slow motion and sped up in editing.
Oh it's DEFINITELY top 5. I'm blown away at how natural your moves are.
@@thatfabulousbastard114 Thanks!
Haven't seen a better one than this so
@@Reckyyy. Thanks!

The fact that there were no missed inputs or physics janks with controller issues is the most mind-blowing part of this run. This game frustrates me to no end based solely on being unable to grab things securely with my Index controllers.
I have lost multiple good runs due to such issues, really annoying lol
@@interestingameplay Well you did great either way, this makes me want to give it another try! Watching you makes me realize I don't swing my arms fast enough which might help me land blows better.
@@EstanBulLoFre it's the opposite actually, the game has trouble tracking fast sudden movements. Best would be to move slower and smoother, the wider you swing the more powerful the strike will be.
@@interestingameplay Gotcha, I found hammers to be almost impossible to use since I could only gently bump enemies with it, I'll have to keep trying to find a good speed.
@@interestingameplay I'm curious to know how you think the movement/grabbing can be improved in future updates. Maybe an auto-grab input specifically for platforming? Thoughts?
6:04 bro moved so fast the game couldn't even comprehend what happened. Next thing you know his opponent is in the air folded like an omelet lol

Not just the combat, but your acting in the video is mind blowing. The running start for the jump, then dusting yourself off after you failed the jump, superb.

Yea it’s the personality he adds to a not so story driven game
4:03 That is somehow the closest and furthest thing from a stealth kill I’ve ever seen.
man got brutalized
very stealthy
I'm sure the guy on the receiving end would disagree lol...
I'm probably not the only one who found that funny as hell.
He got hit in the JUGular
I like how the lady in full plate just decided that this wasn't her day and left after getting disarmed by an unarmed dude who just killed a few of her friends.
Lmao i didn't even peep that. Probably went home and sighed a deep sigh of relief
You manage to put clear personality into your videos despite 0 commentary. Very well done, subbed!

The acting in this video is- just- amazing. I love the violent and confident fighter persona you take up during this run. 0:19, for example, stabbing that guy’s head with a nasty blow before pointing at him as if you’re telling him to stay down. 2:13 as well, a brutal takedown, and that spiteful kick and slap only add even more character.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
Wow. I have seen so many dungeon runs but damn this one definitely marks as the best. It's such a unique work of art the way you perfectly threw things slit people throats and had some baddass executions defenitly a S tier in my books.

That use of the armor was phenomenal and I feel it’s criminal nobody talks about it.
I didn't even know armor would stop blows

Is no one gonna mention what happened at 8:14!? That was absolutely insane. Dodging that swing like a bad-ass, my dude! And counter-attacking with a bagfull of fist attacks. Absolute pure entertainment.
glad you enjoyed : )
@@interestingameplay Hell yeah, I did! Can't wait to see more in the near future, my guy.
It was cool but you can tell by the sounds in the video he played the entire thing using the slow motion feature then sped it up after so its not as hard to do all this
He might’ve edited those slow scenes, because they don’t sound like they are in the game. And it is difficult to have this amount of clean movement and caution
7:58 - 8:30 is a work of art
It’s so damn smooth
Freaking agreed
One thing i find awesome to do is grabbing an enemy and using them as a shield if there are multiple attackers..
That mouse.. that freaking mouse...
It scares me.. btw 10/10 gameplay!
GOD this is amazing. I like how the fights seem so realistic because you don't just abuse the game mechanics and stab them in the head once, you add some awesome touches like using your other hand to thrust the blade deeper into the enemy after you stab them
Thats why i go myiagido on them let them strike first ultimate defence later
this is the best dungeon run ive ever seen

@@interestingameplay how did you even do half of the stuff in this video
@@blochii with lots of failed attempts haha. I recorded runs for about week before I got this one. Plus I had the power of editing to make it look smoother and remove some jank.
love how this feels realistic, like how you fail some throws and have to improvise
The grabbing of that dude's head at like 1:10-ish and slowly jamming a sharp piece of metal in his face speaks to me on a personal level.
Though mostly for me it's doing so with sharp environment spikes, but going for the face when an opponent has solid armor is just so relatable.
Also hello FBI agent friend.
You're one of the only VR youtubers I've seen who knows how armor works lol. It's so frustrating to see people try to stab through plate then be bewildered when the sword cant get through
They probably don’t usually play with armor enabled
Y'know, it's nice not to have a youtuber constantly spitting out one-liners every time they kill someone in a dungeon run. (Not saying that's bad it just gets a bit tiring after a while.)
Soldier: Hah you missed!
Player:grabs corpse and rips sword off its back
Soldier: aw shit....
The sheer brutality of the kill at 0:19 was so cool.

That part around 6:30 reminded me of my favorite thing to do with the axe in close quarters.
I slide my grip up so the blade is wrapping around my knuckles and use it like that.
Oh yes it's kinda like having bladed fists. Very fun!
0:19 something about that extra push just felt more badass
The fact that you can push the blade in deeper by hitting the handle is astonishing
It's really cool to see you at full pace, very nice work, you're very precise!

The fact that you make everything brutal even with just fists is incredible
Ugh gonna have to compete with that now! I've never posted a blade and sorcery run of mine, but similarly to what you do I love acting out my parts, like if i fail a jump and break my legs I'll literally fall down on the ground and struggle to get up. Maybe I'll have to start posting my runs now! Competition haha
I'd love to see what you come up with!
Please play as a sorcerer
7:55 Holy cow, that whole fight was just so cool. You just take all the DnD fights in our head and make them (virtual) reality.
Fight? That was a one sided massacre
honestly feels like a Medival version of those first person action films with how smoothly it went.
I am crazy about B+S and Dammmmm.... this Dungeon run was funny, cool, and so impressive! I love the fact this is being played the way the game was intended. OK yeah Mods are funny and cool too, but they break the delicately balanced gameplay. I mean it's super fun to do a Dungeon run with a lightsaber, blasters and a mandalorian Jetpack - but you are a God. Just using the vanilla game weapons and spells means you need to think on your feet, improvise, and end up with so many hilarious, stressful, and wonderful moments. This Game, Half Life Alyx, and Walking Dead Saints and Sinners. For me, the top 3 in VR.
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed : )
Those punches were all personal.
1:38 that poor guy was just t posing in the breeze living his best life.
This was awesome until I realized that like 90% of the enemies (not counting the "stealth" kills) aren't even attempting to attack and apparently have the awareness of a rock. Its like every time you turn your back to them they just forget you exist. I know the ai in this game is pure jank but damn this is on a whole new level.
Its like watching a mall ninja trip over a pile of metal pots and then proceed beat up a bunch of unaware cardboard cutouts.
I do commend your skill to make things look cool in VR and with editing (as long as you don't pay too much attention) though. Bravo.
Cheers.

I think mine is 4:50 for how visceral and raw it is lol, but 9:00 is awesome too
The hand to hand at the end was flawless. I play this game a lot so i understand how hard it is to make it look that smooth
how many hours do you have in this game? the way you fight looks so good
Glad you like it! I can't be sure since I'm away from my computer right now. However it is definitely over 150, possibly 200 at this point. (Wow what am I doing with my life lol)
It's because it's slow motion, but then sped up. Try it!
You've earned a subscription. This is brilliant. I love the fact you actually, unlike most people, used spells in your gameplay, yet it still looked good. It feels like a movie lol

That's an incredible run! Now I want to know how the hell you are deflecting hits with your bare hands, it's something I would love to learn and it would definitely improve my weaponless runs!
he used slow mo......
@@leoslasan7023 oh well that definitely explains it! Thanks a lot :)
He also had knights armor on his left forearm blocking the strikes when he wasn’t grabbing their wrists
@@kadinmcdowell still impressive that they used that to deflect successfully considering the amount of physics and animation jank B&S can have with this kinda stuff
@@Bieblism Forsure, I play B&S as well and I’m pretty shit without slowmo and dismember mods 😂
There are actually many street fighting techniques used in this one. From the way you hit someone's elbow (ideally their wrist) before disarming them, to the weaves, to the levera and momentum. It had awareness, stealth, good grappling and hand-to-hand striking, timing, rhythm, precision, and relative efficiency compared to many dungeon runs I've seen. Climbing up the waterfall location was smart.
Instantly subscribed hope I could see more awesome gameplay. 👍

Am I the only one that has noticed a mouse curser randomly on the screen to the middle left, for I know it's probably his?
But that out of the way, this was an absolute amazing video and I LOVE IT!!!
Most youtubers use slow motion way too much. That means the real moments to make it count really arent that special. You use it just at the right time and during fights the real time action is where it counts. The time where you grabbed onto the swinging chain mid air was kinda cool but I would've preferred real time.
Edit: the realism where you failed to jump and had to hover down and get hurt was awesome. Down to brushing yourself off and using support.
Thanks! I usually prefer no slow mo as well but those swings are notoriously hard to grab so I had to
@@interestingameplay Wait, isnt the whole video slowmow when your fighting? The sound fx are clearly wonky compared to normal play. Most notably at the 1:15 mark the sfx go from clearly sped up slowmo sound to regular. You are trying to make it look like its not using slow motion but that is being kinda disingenuous. I wouldnt have said anything but you had so many comments saying how good this run was and you didnt take the chance to come clean so...
@@sweetbabycheeses734 While it's true I have used the "sped up slow mo" it's not for entire fights, only for little fairs like the knife flips (you can see flips having a wierd floaty physics to them) and like at that one moment near the end of the level in the cave just before the castle where I caught the dude's axe mid swing (again you can see the speed of his swing looks off).
There were moments that would have looked much better with slowmo like in the room i was using gravity magic it took me 6-7 attempts to get my axe into the guys face (weapons pierce flesh very easily in slow motion) ~sorry for not using timestamps I'm my phone~
For the variations in sound, it's has to be the reverb on sounds dungeons has in most of it's rooms (you can feel it yourself when you play, it's more noticeable in smaller rooms and caves). As far as I'm aware no other map has that.
As for the anomaly you mention at 01:15, I'm pretty sure It's just the stairs. The footsteps sounds are closer together when climbing the stairs. You can compare the sound of me climbing those steps to the sound of me descending steps just a second after I go over the wooden part and see the sound is exactly the same the only difference is the gap been the footsteps sound. I'm not aware of any method in which you can speed up/slow down footage while keeping the sound profile so similar.
Hope this clears it up, I didn't mention the sped up slow mo because I used it in a very limited manner and for things less important for actual combat although I agree the catching axe part is an exception to that. I didn't want to interrupt the flow of combat for something that isn't cool like jumping off a bridge (my channel is a cinematic channel after all) . I don't think it's really that significant but if you think so and felt I was deceptive I can put it in my pinned comment at the top so everyone can see.
@@interestingameplay Your video is really impressive in its own right as slow-motion combat, its sick dude, but watching this its pretty obvious that you didn't use slow mo in a 'very limited manner'. The audio gives it away, like Frank says, he just didn't mention the fact that you can tell it from the voices and not just the reverb. There's a very obvious pitch change whenever you fight in slow motion that isn't there when you're just wandering about, or out of combat, or whatever, so like, don't push it onto the slight 'reverb' that the rooms have, he's very much talking about the change in pitch that's there majority of the time you're in combat, and goes back to normal when you're out of combat.
An extra to put onto that is the fact that your head turns extremely fast at some points, which, although plausible, definitely works to reinforce the fact that its slow motion, it just looks extremely unnatural.
I find it odd that you're trying to sell it as something else than it really is, as though you're trying to give yourself much more credit than its worth - like i said, it's already impressive, why try to pretend like majority of the combat in this video isn't slow motion. You're creating cinematic content, you're not trying to be the absolute best at the game, so you'd be better off just putting "Parts of this video have been sped up for your cinematic viewing pleasure" or whatever at the start of the video, as a pinned comment or in the description.
You didn't mention the sped up slow mo because you claim used it in a very limited manner or whatever, but you didn't at all, almost every interesting part of this video is shot in slow motion and you know it aswell.
I rest my case in saying that you have definitely made this video seem very deceptive, i absolutely love the content you've made but the whole gimmick about making sped-up slow motion videos and acting like they aren't just that is just a little too silly to me :p
It's a great video but the underlying tones in you being dishonest about the true nature of it is kind of off-putting. Have a good one regardless, i do look forward to all of your future content.
@@CptShibe This...is a sobering experience. I never wanted to do this. It's just that when the channel started gaining traction, along with all the nice response there were the very few comments like "its sped up...not worth my time" or something along those lines. As few and far between those kinds of comments were, I couldn't help but get a little defensive.
However, that doesn't change the fact I lied. Personal insecurity is no excuse for being dishonest to my main audience that has been nothing but supportive and motivating. Kind worded comments like yours and Frank's have helped me realize that.
I have now mentioned it clear as day in the pinned comment and will be doing so in all my future content as well.
So thank you! For supporting my content and keeping me honest. I hope you can look past this and continue to enjoy my videos.

(Shameless plug I have two on my channel right now. The second one is much better lmao I don't know what I did with the first one)
This has a feeling of madness combat that i can't explain
Hello, first of all great video and second what specs and headset do you have because i have a lot of stuttering with an oculus quest 2 and an rtx 2060
My game stutters as well, it looks a little smoother on video but it's not to the point that it's unplayable. I have a laptop with a RTX2070 (about equivalent to a desktop RTX2060) and my cpu is an i7-8750H with quest 2 (link cable). My gpu is fine but I find my cpu is holding my performance back, specially in VR games.
Possible Solutions:
-See if reducing the MSAA and other graphics setting helps significantly, if not it means your gpu is fine and the problem lies elsewhere (possibly an underpowered cpu like me or something else)
-First off in the games settings reduce "max number of bodies/dropped objects" to minimum and make sure "cleanup visible dead" is ON.
-Second if you should delete the current save file (located is Documents/My Games/Blade and Sorcery) and make a new one since previous updates and some mods leave residual data in the save which is known to affect performance.
-I have heard that some people have a smoother experience with Air Link instead of the Link Cable and some people the other way around so maybe you can try that using both and see which is better for you.
-Having a LOT of mods installed at once is never a good idea.
-Some mods like sectory, improved blood, zendatsu etc. affect performance.
I know how frustrating it is to have a stuttery VR experience. I hope this helps : )

If anyone wants to know some mods to use for better immersion, then I’d recommend the following mods:
-Fast Weapon Handling(lower value of some of the numbers down to the in-between of 7500 and 8500 in the .JSON file, or you can use better sword handling instead,up to you.)
-Medieval MegaPack
-Instant SlowMotion
-Lift Anywhere
-HuJohner choking mod(requires steamVR input patch regardless if you are using Oculus or not)
-Neeshka’s health modifier (paired with Survivable Dismemberment by TotalConcentration)
-No Shields for U11(MMP add-on optional)
I recommend these for anyone new to blade & sorcery that doesn’t know what mods to download for immersion, or anyone that hasn’t downloaded them already. These improve immersion by a large factor due to the player having slightly more maneuverability and options when it comes to stealth (via HuJohner’s choking mod), or just outright murdering NPCs and popping off heads like a Lego brick. But either way, it’s immersive as all hell, it’s more fun when the NPCs have more weapons, but also takes away their shields, because honestly, those shields have been the literal death of me several times throughout countless dungeon runs. (Also to find these mods go to nexusmods.com and find the blade & sorcery category. (Another note, use manual download when downloading files off of Nexus. You can also find tutorials on how to get the mods up and running in the game.))
