Advanced tip: 1. download CCleaner and clean up your junk using it.
2. Go to System and click the Advanced System Settings. Then, you click the Advanced and Performance: Settings. After that, click the button for best performance.

MATE, the first step gave my pc like a 150% boost!! I deleted 47000 files, THSI IS INSANE!! THX SO MUTCH, LOVE
That's mot enough boost, a REAL boost would be the speed of 5 super computers, multiplied by 50 by 50, and then taking all those supers, and turning all of the supers into one huge massive gigatron, and then taking that gigatron, FUSE that with another gigatron, and then you'll make a Windows Master PC techno 100. And that's the speed one tiny computer would make.

Even though you showed us in Windows 7. This still works for current Windows 10 users. I honestly thought my old computer needed replacement but I did these simple steps and found out it was still in good condition. Thank you again for your help and I will be more than happy to be a subscriber.

to make pc run smoother...
1) buy a ssd and clean install windows 10 or linux mint on it.(make sure motherboard is sata III)
2) buy a muticore cpu, intel i7 or amd fx 83xx series are ideal
3) buy an 8 gig or more DDR3+ ram. peferbly, frequency is at 1600 mhz or higher.
4) buy a top of the line video card(makes gaming faster, everything else... not so much) Skip this if you arent a gamer.
I have all of these in my rigs. Windows 10 took 10 seconds to boot. After boot, i dont need to wait a while for hard drive to load up apps and reach its max operating speed. I can click and start my programs right away. In mutitasking, i can open up task manager, youtube with a video playing, and gaming all at the same time. no performance lag

If your computer is still not running fast enough or you don't want to do this then go to control panel, go to system, at the side it should say advanced settings or something, click that, now it should come up with 3 buttons that all say settings, click the top 1 and finally go to do what is best for my computer and hit apply. It should go back to the old windows screen but it should run a bit smoother ( and sometimes a lot). If you want to put it back do everything again but when you get to the advanced setting screen click the top one ( don't know what it is called)

@@shorty3876 when you disk clean the pc it also gives you the option to delete the files in the recycle bin, so if you ticked every box for the pc to disk clean, then you already deleted the files in recycle bin.
