As a Japanese, I'm glad that I went to the one on Miku's birthday because I think they had more laid-back moments where they just slipped a lot of Japanese and felt lucky to be able to catch those small interactions. lol
But your interaction with the band members was definitely one of the highlights in the show. Both your and their reactions were so pure and just made my day. I'm already looking forward to seeing them again. And it'd be fun if I can see you in the show again.

Amazing musicians but genuine people too, who love to interact with their audience (that's why the covid times were perhaps even harder for them than for many other musicians). I saw them on the 15th (Misa's birthday show) in L.A. Best concert I've ever been to. I can appreciate what you're expressing here. No words can tell exactly how I felt, before, during and after. I love this band so much! When they first came on stage and played the first song I couldn't believe it was real...that I was there and they were there and they were real. They are such talented musicians and entertainers. When I've tried to introduce them to my friends or family all they see are the costumes and won't take the time to listen. Their loss. I too am a FAN!

"When I've tried to introduce them to my friends or family all they see are the costumes and won't take the time to listen. Their loss."
Same here, I have friends who are truly interested in music and are some kind of experts about music history and who go to indy show or big show from the big names... They always buy obscure records from less known artists, etc. They know a lot more about Western music than I do... Yet they are not opened to anything from Asia... One of them said it was a "voice thing" while admitting they were good musicians... (that was about Ningen Isu)... Another started making reference about pedophilia when I was talking about why I loved BABYMETAL music and the different genres they use... I almost lost it, luckily I was driving so had to keep my cool, but I shut him up and never talked about it again. How close minded can you get?

Right there with you brother. Talking about "who do I look at?" for my first time seeing them live at the San Francisco show. And I was in the Back of the audience with a good view. Just like you, I'm a fan of Akane and Misa, but then Kanami starts shredded and I wanna watch her. Then Miku steps up and goes off, and I need to watch that, then Saiki sings that one part with all her passion so my eyes go to her. I swear me and the entire audience was Stunned for the first couple songs. Then PLAY dropped and we all got into it with the Hey! Hey! Hey! chants. And you're right dude, after you see them live, at a small venue, you develop 1,000% greater appreciation for these women. They traveled a Long ways to Rock the USA. The Power of Music is strong with BAND-MAID. If you got a ticket for the East Coast shows, congratulations . You are going to have FUN! BAND-MAID WORLD DOMINATION!! 🤘🎸🎤🥁🇯🇵🇺🇸

I just saw them for the first time last night. I came away with a new appreciation for Saiki and Miku. The stage presence and energy they bring to the show doesn't come through in the videos like MISA, Akane, and Kanami. Thete was also a moment in Sayonakidori where Kanami was just watching Miku with such love and pride. it was awesome.

Here's my after a night out with the Maids in SD. OMNG! They were on fire! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 And so was their fans! I think the Maids were a little more fired up and more appreciative to be gigging than their 2019 LA show, if that's even possible, because the LA show was off the rails, too!
Most everyone I met were not only not from out of town, they were from out of state -- Colorado, Utah, Washington! And they drove to San Diego just to see the Maids! Their fanbase is unreal. Everyone had exactly the same mindset about the value, music and love for their Maids. It's unreal, and makes the experience of attending a live Band-Maid experience something very special and warm. I know the Maids feel the love.
The Maids made incredible eye contact with their fans, and even you, RnR! ;-) I mean, they would look right at you and make a jester of some sorts -- a twinkle of the eye, a quick hand to the heart, or a reassuring "we're finally together," nod of the head. They're all superstars, but Saiki last night was an exploding supernova. They all looked incredible iconic and beautiful. But Saiki was a monster frontwomen in complete control of her audience, her voice, and her performance. Her new saying to fire up the crowd to the next level is, "Let's get f**king wild!". And you know what? We were!
Thanks Mr. RnR, for bringing that night back into our minds, as if that memory is ever going to leave us. And I'm so happy you got that special night for your memory, too!🤘🎀🤘

I was hanging around Mr Rock and Roll after the show, waited in line for merch with him and kind of became a bit of a nuisance hanging around to make sure my Dad got to meet him too lol it was AWESOME meeting him!
I can confirm EVERYTHING he said about the show. I was right behind him in the crowd and was one of the people calling him over and pointing him out to the girls! XD
The show was absolutely AMAZING and I think Saiki made eye contact with me too, and when the crowd was looking at Saiki, I started jumping and waving at Kanami and she grinned at me during one song!

    MISA MISA MISA
    You made MISA smile. Beautiful.
I must confess that I was not a Band-Maid fan until two days ago. I think I saw part of the "Thrill" video, but, I don't know, maybe I wasn't in the right mood or something, it didn't hit me that hard and I just went back to watching and listening to Babymetal.
I watched the short video of you being recognized by the ladies and just went around watching people's recordings of the Dallas and LA shows. I then started watching their live videos. Then yours and others reactions to them.
I now know all their names and am a big fan.
Can you have a favorite Band-Maid member? Right now it's MISA. The barefoot assassin. The Grudge. "Hello."
The future of rock and roll is in the hands of Japanese ladies. And they are carrying the torch like no other country.
Thanks for turning me on to Band-Maid. Now I have two bucket list shows of 'must see' bands.
I haven't been this excited about rock and roll for decades.
    Peace

Came across your content just the other day after coming home from their Nashville show and searching for clips of their other performances this tour.
