    I hope that one day I will watch a video of BAND-MAID performing at River Plate in front of 80,000 berserk Argentinian fans. It is the ultimate gig for any Rock band.
    If anyone deserves it, it is our lovely maids ... and the Argentinian fans, who have been rock-crazy for decades and have earned their reputation as the Best Crowd in the World, derserve it, too.
    *BAND-MAID Forever!*

    This video of Band-Maid's entire US tour is actually well done! I've had the pleasure to go see them at the House of Blues in San Diego, & they are exactly as we see them in each of those shows. They're nothing but amazing, & I would like to see them again for another US tour in the future. My first Band-Maid show in San Diego won't be my last.

      Yeah. The rhythm of 6 concerts in 8 days at the end of their tour was exhausting. Added to the sensitivity of this song and the fact that it was the last concert can explain her too full of emotion. Akane and the Maids are human after all.

    I attended the show in Phoenix. Akane's "moment" happened on my side of the stage. One of my pics has Kanami taking a picture, her expression is priceless. My caption read, "Kanami's thoughts, this will never happen again!" Or something like that lol. The club like environment made sure that I will never forget the night Band Maid came to town,

    Saw them at Irving Plaza and they burned down the house. That last clip of Akane getting emotional in Chicago was beautiful. I want to add that the maids gave it their all during a really aggressive schedule, with an added date in a theme park in NJ. A last minute venue on what should have been a rest day for them. Saiki was a trooper though out as she needs the most time to recover her vocal chords. Wishing all the maids some well earned time off.

    I saw them at a small venue in Phoenix, Arizona Oct 19th, only 500 people. You could feel the love between the band and their fans. If they ever play close to where you are DON’T MISS THEM. It was great that my daughter shared the fun with me. One of my favorite all time concert experiences.

    I think what BAND-MAID showed in their US tour is the traits that Japanese people possess.
    They are "diligence, not being conceited, kindness, respect for others, cooperation, tireless effort, and training in one's skills," etc.
    For example, Being a star but does not be celebrity. Respect each other without being forward. And they aim to be more professional.
    I think these are the so-called "virtues of the Japanese.
    The ladies embodied these virtues with their own bodies.
    I believe that their effort and kindness have struck a chord with people around the world.
    It seems that maid costumes are also understood as a symbol of kindness and heartfelt service.
    This kind of fun and heart-to-heart exchange is something that has probably never existed in the bad and rough Rock gigs of the past.
    And the world realized, "BAND-MAID's new age Rock is so much fun! 😄😆".
    I think that is the answer to the question "What happened?

    • @hlb979
      @hlb979 2 года назад +4

      If I had ony one thing to pick among the many, that also - incidentally - I tend to associate with virtues of Japanese people, to thank the maids, is true honesty and true respect. Not apparent deference, but respect; things that actually matter in relations among people. In their case, this includes: never trying to manipulate us, never simply pleasing the shallowest expectations of the public (they are very mindful of us, but ultimately they compose and play the music they want to, the way they want to, when they want to), never fabricating stuff (unless it's clearly for fun, like an on-stage joke, of course) - or subtly coercing their public into some direction. We are treated, to put it bluntly, actually... as adults; it might sound very silly, but that's - my subjective impression - just by itself - way more than many so called "celebrities" (or sheep-herding influencers) do. It really impresses me every time. I think that if I ever met one of them, I'd feel the need to say "thank you", first and foremost.

    • @JWPanimation
      @JWPanimation 2 года назад +1

      The concept of service to one's fans is not as developed here in western culture. They are making music and performing with the fans in mind, and we love them for it. The fact that western men find Japanese women beautiful no doubt is part of the appeal. So combine beautiful talented women, playing music that men like, in maid's outfits while serving the fans and you get a popular band in the West. I don't think Band Maid really understands their potential here yet. If they dial up the sexiness just a little bit more, they will have us going out our minds.

    • @word4you
      @word4you 2 года назад +1

      @@hlb979 san
      I agree with you(^^)
      I think PUMA san really understands the appeal of BAND-MAID.
      "True integrity and genuine respect."
      They may exaggerate some aspects on stage, but they are not lying. They have good background.
      "They don't try to manipulate us. They don't try to meet the shallow expectations of the masses."
      And yet, they create and express themselves well.
      I especially like the phrase, "They treat us as grown-up people."
      They are rock stars, but not stereotypes.
      By the way, how are you? I couldn't see your account and was very concerned.
      I apologize if I have put pressure on you.
      I would be happy to talk to you again (^^)/

    • @word4you
      @word4you 2 года назад +3

      @@JWPanimation san
      I think they are not sex symbols.
      They are ladies with respect for the fans.
      Still, I'm sure there are a lot of men who go to heaven with SAI-chan's "choose me! ♫" stage attack😆
      When they're not playing, they're just regular pretty girls.
      But when they play, they instantly transform into Rock stars.
      The audience is impressed by this gap.
      In Japan, this is called "Gap Moe"
      ("Moe" means Love and Inspiration)

    • @JWPanimation
      @JWPanimation 2 года назад +1

      @@word4you I totally understand what you are saying. First and foremost Band Maid fans I think react to the musicianship and creativity of the band. In a nut shell, I think if Band Maid turned the Kawaii down just a little and played into Misa and Saiki's sexiness a tiny bit more, they would break out faster. Here in the west sexual appeal goes hat in hand with rock culture. Miyavi really understands this (and takes it to 11). I think Band Maid is going for Kawaii but by throwing in a pinch more swagger they can season their act more for western audiences.

    Ive been to quite a few concerts and this one is by far the most fun I've had in any of them, I went to the house of blue in Houston concert after a 7 hour drive and was amazed at the audience interaction. Durring one of Kanami's talks she asked us if we were tired. Me, actually being pretty exhausted from sitting in a car all day, responded with "never" shouting at the top of my lungs, which unpromptly cause Saiki to pick up her microphone and shout "never" back to me. And that moment alone was worth the combined 14 hr travel time I made to go see them.

    I've almost seen all the video footage of this tour and it really felt like I was in the audience.

And ending with Akane crying during Endless Story was such a powerful way to end the video and represent the tour and how much it meant to the maids. Do any other bands in history have such a perfect blend of entertaining banter and activities between the songs, combined with immense talent and respect for their audience. Even after a year and a half, this band still feels imaginary. They're just TOO perfect.

Best show I have ever seen in my life, and it's because of how they interacted with the crowd. I hope they know how much they are loved and adored.
    But one of the best things to me, was the crowd themselves. Someone down in the comments said it best "Many new friendships were forged, many reunions took place & many 1,000's of people had the time of their lives" I could not have said this better myself.

    These young ladies are super talented and they just invigorated the metal scene! I’m happy that they love their craft and I can see how they love performing as well. I hope that these wonderful ladies do take some time off when possible to help preserve their health.
    Can I also add that the US fans did a great job! You guys made the ladies feel very loved and appreciated. Given the hectic tour dates and the toll it took on them it was enough to make Akane cry. She really was emotional at the genuine outpouring of love and support from the US fans!🤘🏻🤘🏻

    Great highlight reel from the different servings.
    I was at Dallas and what a serving it was. This is the most fun I have ever had at a concert. This band performs with love. And that being Miku's birthday made it even more special.
    Saiki is always teasing Po. Seems to be a running gag because someone was not told about maid uniforms until the dress rehearsal before the first serving with all 5 members. Miku didn't tell Saiki because she thought she wouldn't wear the maid outfit thus springing it on her at the last minute. Saiki wore the maid outfit and the rest is history. She tells the story as how she was deceived by a pigeon.
    The teasing is good humored among the members. Saw highlights from one show where Saiki called Po 'Big Pigeon'. Miku said, "No. Po not 'Big Pigeon'. Po 'Little Pigeon'." Just hilarious.
    They do get each other in trouble, though. And they and their Masters and Princesses get a big laugh when they do. All for fun. What a show. What a show.

    I love these ladies so much. And when I saw Akane's emotions at the end of the tour, I found another level of affection for them. Such talent, so much fun, so much GREAT music, how can you not love them? Saw them in Dallas, can't wait for the next tour.
    Edit: A few of the earlier comments to this wonderful post say that BM needs to turn up their sex appeal in order to become more popular. I totally disagree. I believe their management company initially envisioned them as a sexy girl group, example the first Thrill MV. But the ladies have actually turned down the sexy-ness aspect. Note Misa now wears a full-length instead of the short skirt and platform shoes, Kanami no longer wears the shorty with the thigh-high stockings, Saiki no longer with the garter straps and fish net hose.. And I think this actually has a profound effect of making them more attractive and more respected. This band is MY band.

    These amazing young women have brought positivity and most of all FUN back into hard rock. They are the most endearing group of rockers I have ever listened to. I have adopted them and deeply appreciate their wonderful attitude and high level of musicianship. They cheers me up whenever I see them. I would even say that they are one of the best bands in the world. So proud of them!

    Well done! You brought so many special, memorable moments to this presentation! I'm so glad I got to see two shows on this tour, the memories will last a lifetime! I brought my grand daughter to the Dallas show and she was impressed and loved the outfits of the Maid's! The Miku "Say" time was so fun, she was happily surprised by the show of love from the fans! My other show was Phoenix, and I was maybe six feet from Kanami, right on the rail, so fun!

    This is a awesome piece of work... I honestly think that this could be a 17 minutes delightful teaser for a special 2 hours blu-ray documentary about the whole Band-Maid US tour released by them with a full live show on a second blu-ray inside a well crafted box with a photobook, Kanami, MISA and Miku's picks as extra gifts and eventually called "Band-Maid Live OkyUS-ji 2022" or "Servin' USA" or simply "Maid In USA"... The Voice narration could very well be Kasper's - it would be perfect!
    Band-Maid is my fav band on top of any band, each one of them is awesome... Even when you have a fav band member is just impossible not to be amazed by each one in different moments. It's wonderful to see how much of what is Band-Maid is due to these 5 ladies and not some marketing strategy. Thank you for all this great work!

    wow that is so amazing! knowing that every show had something different makes it all that much more special. I go to a lot of concert and usually I find that with other performers (won't name any) that they will have the same exact setlist and even the mc part is almost identical.. some people may not think is a big deal..but I just think it makes them even more genuine and just shows how much they love mucic and performing.

There was a progression so that by Phoenix they were more comfortable performing and it showed. Thank you for the wonderful video. First of all, I don't understand why the evaluation of the musicality of the band maid's songs, the technique of playing each instrument and the singing ability are not so high in the United States. They are the top level bands in the world today, and I think they support rock (including hard rock). Add to that the attitude of enjoying contact with various customers, and I think it's the best band in the world. Above all, the 5 band members are very close, and the best thing is that they really enjoy playing.

    I LOVED seeing our Maids in Houston! I was supposed to see them in Dallas in 2019, but cancer had other intentions. It was sn incredible show, our Maids showed up and cleaned house! My ONLY complaint was how HORRIBLE the sound system was at the HoB in Houston. Their next US tour needs stops at a lil venue in St. Paul, MN at the Turf Club, they have a bad ass sound system, but only 600 people could attend. Another great place to play would be in Moline, IL at The Rust Belt, they have an INCREDIBLE sound system that can rumble subsonics as well!! And they can hold a couple thousand there. It will be a blessing to these ladies again.
