Thanks for sharing your knowledge - I had luck my very first time shad fishing thanks to your videos and your jigs. For me the trickiest part was getting deep enough to catch fish while avoiding snags, but that's all part of the fun.

How long is the leader? Does it make any difference? I saw 2 Vietnamese fishermen using 6 foot leader and got fish every 2 casts. But it is kinda difficult to cast with long leader and easy to snag something behind.

I never used fluorocarbon line for shad, but guess it won't change much since they are quite aggressive
