Loved the video, I drive a 2013 Smart which I love, however, I do love the new Smart. You however are the first person to show us the Smart in right hand drive mode, and that for an old codger like myself makes me really want to buy this car, Smart have always had a good safety record, and both the wife and I feel very safe in ours. This new one looks extremely safe, and with all the gismos it has, it would seem it could almost drive itself to any destination. I do love this car. Mike Palmer.
In my experience, the Auto Park Assistant likes lines. Just Parking Spaces between cars aren´t recognized enough. But with lines on the ground the recognition gets really good
Thanks for the review. We have owend many Smarts since 1999, and used them for everything a car should do. Trips up to 2000km vacation thru Europe. But the last 2017 Smart Cabrio Brabus ICE version was the last Smart we bought and still drive. In 2017 Smart stopped building 2-door cars that can do a reasonable 300km range. Only silly 100km EV city cars. The next car we own will be a EV, but probably a Chinese EV. They still build 2-door EV's, coupes and cabrio's, that can do 300km, and weigh less than a stupid 2 metric ton. Smaller is less weight, less material, less money and more range. So many 2 person households that are not waiting for the next boring 4-door car, everryone else builds those already.
This is such a quirky car and I'm obsessed with the interior. I'm genuinely considering it as a second car, it's just, in my mind, still hard to justify its price for a 'city' car in essence, but it's definitely cute and quirky!
I have had in excess of 20 smarts and despite this just being a small Mercedes EQS SUV badged by smart for the Chinese market, it's a good looking car. I just wish it had a single piece of the existing smart design language. Shame that the dealers don't have a clue about what features come with what model and no one can tell me if the car has something similar to sentry mode.
Of course you must do more reviews like this, I can even suggest that you make a review about all the security sistems specifically. I had a test-drive in this car two days ago, because I'm considering buying it, and I was really puzzled about lots of warnings that I've heard during my driving. At one point I even felt a kind of vibration or a twist on the steering wheel while I was making a corner, that made me scared, because I didn't know exactly what it was and why. Apart from that I think I have a passion for this car.
Fabulous car but only available in UK and EU . Not available in US, Ireland and many other countries. I hope they reconsider this decision. I would buy this without hesitation. Great value and great performance.
Tish the parking feature is good for not kerbing the lovely 19inch alloys that come on the brabus edition 😀 Did you get a chance to do a longer review of the smart brabus how it handles and brakes as they are not uprated and the obvious 0.60 in 3.9s thanks in advance 👍
true, their chassis are all from the Geely SEA architecture, but I really prefer the design by mercedes, both exterior and interior. So bought the Smart #1 for my wife, and I myself enjoy driving it more upon my own car.
What a smart-looking little car and you’re not looking too bad either Tish - love the off-the-shoulder look! I too am not a fan of boring Tesla but I am beyond excited as I just tonight got the VIN for my new Polestar 2 due for delivery in October. My dream car now exists!
I refuse to call it the Hashtag 1 as that symbol is a Hash (Pound in US English) and is only a 'Hashtag' when used in tech to link or tag something. It's a Hash 1 and I'll never accept any other name!
who in their right mind would pop into the shops and leave teenagers in the car? But yeah, and thank you for the entertaining review, loved the Essex accent thing 😂😂
Was interested in the Smart #1 until they played with the price. "Yes, it will sell for £25k." "Oh sorry, six months ago, did we say £25k, we meant £30k." "Oh, did we say £30k, we actually meant £35k...minimum." And the many technical promises of it being different, have proven groundless. It is just a bog standard so so car with a different body for cheap manufacture. Smart could have had a big sales success with the looks, but the managers have hobbled it with so many problems, firstly the price, it will find it hard to compete.
Yes it’s very disappointing. I doubt it will even be £35k if there is decent demand as options will be very expensive and expect almost all versions ordered will top £40k.
@@aussieideasman8498 I always laugh at the new cars with star ship enterprise lighting systems, bought from Halfords for £50, and that allegedly justifies a £5k hike to the price of the car.
Lovely looker and although it is expensive it’s in the same ball park as other brands. Sure it will be popular as they probably aren’t importing many of them.
Seriously? On what planet would you consider a feature good when it only works ~30% of the time?! ...that's right, self-park is rubbish! Loving the 'voical' recognition though.
Like it, love tech that works I once tested a Prius voice function with my iPod (I’m that old) asked it to Play Lilly Allen, listed the tracks so I said play track 1, a nice woman’s voice said “Playing Lily Allen, F*ck You”
Who likes the voishal recognition system? 😅
Voishal recognition is a must have. They obviously need an accent upgrade over the air 😀
We just witnessed linguistic history: a new word was born. 😊
I Really like that car it looks great and the tech is brilliant for a car of its size and price I would certainly consider getting one 😊
Every car needs a voishal recognition system but it must understand an Essex girl and tell some antidotes
I’m gonna start using “voishal” daily
A really well done review that looks at features that other tests do not.

I've been driving smarts for over 10 years, and I'm glad that the brand can remain compelling
9:38 - in this age of viruses, a car that can tell you the antidote would be very useful indeed! ;-) This was a fun review, am subscribing!
It can freshen air . Did you see fox on screen it has an funny animation showing car being sanitised with auto opening window and auto air flow
Thanks for the review.

Excellent review to supplement all the general video reviews already on the car
Really waiting for some one to test it towing as what no one has mentioned is on the premium model and brabus it has 1600kg of towing capacity 😮
You are brilliant! This is an amazing video, I laughed and learnt new things so definitely enjoyed it!

Loved this, I'm buying one, (my 5th Smart), and didn't know about some of those features. More tech please!
Great tech review, would be good to know if all of these are across the whole range.
Really impressed by the automatic parking. Not many reviews go into that detail
Nice review. Well done.
*in your best Essex accent "Hello Smart ... Take me to Sugar Hut 🤣
Love this review, do you know if the car comes with an app so you can warm the car up before getting in?

Hi how can I start light show.

8:31 It's so hilarious and the German tho hahaha😂😂🤣🤣🤣
great review, different and welcome. I'm test driving a premium on Saturday.
If I was a simple person I’d think you filmed the CHR and the Smart both today !!!!!! A long day. Lol.
I think it's quite a good looking car. Better looking than most of the new electric Merc's imo.
And it's sharing the same platform with Volvo EX30 and Zeeker.
I think you mean anecdote not antidote - I enjoy your little mistakes - it's part of the entertainment. 😂

I do like this little SUV I hope it gets to our country specially the brabus edition
Good video. I’m leaning more towards a Volvo EX30 which, I believe, is the same platform underneath

Wow luv auto park feature
Really nice car
The problem with building in 'tech' is that it ages the car really quickly!
I wish my car had Tish savvy!❤😉🤭

It costs a lot to add all those gimmicks.

Yes, more, please.
was that the brabus?
Yes to more tech. Flying ants, probably because the smart does not have the antidote 😁
Were you having an anecdote? lol
i thought your accent was already 'Essex' !
The name really puts me off this car😅
What antidotes might it tell me? 😂
please tell me they actually want it know as the Hashtag 1 and not Number 1 as in Hash1 (#️⃣1)
Look on the bright side. If you see a Smart car, at least you'll know that the driver's probably _NOT_ from Essex ;-))...
This woman's presenting style tishs me right up the clacker. Sorry, did I misspell 'sh!ts'?
Lovely looker and although it is expensive it’s in the same ball park as other brands. Sure it will be popular as they probably aren’t importing many of them.
Story but a 2017 i3 can do exactly the same thing

Voicial... Do you speak French? Vocale. I think I'll start saying voicial now.
Funny how you've stereotyped Tesla owners into vicious trolls. I wonder why?
Glass roof, no thx😂
Why
@@MaticTheProto 🤔
@@user-tx9zg5mz5p it has a sunshade up there
It has an automatic sunroof cover as standard
the worst thing in smart 1 ,that's is pretty difficult to get a proper bj on autopilot
The electronics are affecting your speech!
Point 1: Expensive
Point 2: FUGLY
Point 3: A fox? Really? Honestly? Sheesh!
Who knew flying ants were Tesla fan boys when only 50% of them are male?
They weren't smart enough to give it a proper name. Good car, but too many gimmicks, as usual for EVs.
😂
Question is, would I date this girl? Yes, I might give her a go
The reason I am not subscribed: All those video cuts of other content. Really off-putting.
How will we ever cope if you don't subscribe 😂
Don't buy electric
