      Because of my height & age, I would choose the popups. I have used Coleman tents for 25 years. I made a change to popup last year. Always use a small accessory tent for bathroom.

    So for the first one bathroom, I choose the old one because I like the sturdiness, taller, and more room for the bathroom situation. For the second test, I choose the Coleman, what is 10 minutes, has more room, can stalk to the ground, and is light to carry. Thank you for all your prep ideas.

    We go old school for both. If the shower tent is still wet when you get home you hang it on the line and it dries fast. Also love the floor in it cause with the mesh on all 4 sides it’s still easy to drain it plus you don’t have to remember to pack a floor like the pop up one. The Coleman tent is no joke and can handle winds off Lake Superior. We did have a pile break once but super easy and cheap to get a replacement pole. We’ve had our shower tent and pup tent for close to 20 years and they are still going strong. Only thing we’ve changed is we don’t use the sun showers anymore. Much nicer shower with a mug and 5 gallon bucket filled from the river with a boiling tea pot of water added. But for potty we just use our outhouse. Lol

    I have used a pop up potty tent for 12 years. It is fast to set up but flimsy. Mine came with 4 bags that you can fill with sand and a detachable bottom. It does have 2 pockets on the inside for tissue, wipes or toiletries. Mine has 1 strip of fabric that is like a towel or wash cloth bar. If you put too much in the pockets, the potty tent gets wonky. So even I do the two sandbags in the back pocket and 1 on both sides, you still must use the rope to secure it. Even with the rope, stakes and sandbags it is not as sturdy. Since there is a detachable bottom, there were bugs and snakes getting in. So you are trying to do your business and you got critters and insects all up in your business. I know you are out in a situation but come on now.
    The potty tent that you put up with the poles it legit. It takes a minute to put together but it is sturdy. The floor is attached. We sprayed the inside and outside with water repellent. You can hang up the towels, wash clothes, toiletries, tissue, wipes, baking soda, etc. The rain fly is easy to put up. You do have a peace of mind when going to the bathroom in there knowing there are no snakes or bugs. The pop up was just too flimsy staked down, tied down and with sandbags. We made it work for 12 years because we paid $90 for it.
    So overall, the potty tent you put together is the way to go to me.

  • @justjenn9011
    @justjenn9011 2 года назад +2

    I like the old fashioned ones myself personally. I think the ridged bathroom one would be nice for showering because theres more room and air flow amd maybe the pop up one would be good for a toilet type of situation. I have the same tent as the one that took you a little longer and im ok with it, once you do it so many times, you can do it in like 5 minutes, so its not bad, its perfect for 2 or 3 people like my family. Plus i like the sturdiness of it. I just feel like the pop up stuff isnt as sturdy, and maybe one day, those metal pieces in em will rust and possibly snap and itll be worthless. Idk though. They both have their pros and cons, but i do think having both of the shower tents would be beneficial, can shower and poo at the same time and never have to wait on someone. I loved the ending 😄 🤣 😂 never had that happen, thank God! ✌🏼❤

    At First, I was no way with pop-up shower. Had # of pop-up hunting blinds that constantly failed when trying to twist to refold; But saw yours doesn't twist, just folds. But do prefer stability of the other shower tent & floors. That megallan 3 man pop tent looks appealing though. Need look at a 2 man version. I have Napier Full Sports truck tent that I love. But few times; when just wanted to boondock for few hrs, wo6have liked a small fast set tent.

    Yeah but size difference and door way size I would go with the blue one as far as shower. I would go with the Coleman. More head room and space. Good reputation, cheaper and lighter. If your setting up a shower or bathroom you will be there for a little bit. I would rather have sturdy and well built even if it takes a little longer to put up. Also more head space if the ground foot print is the same. It will make it feel bigger in there and changing or moving around is easier. Even just getting into bed or sleeping arrangements.

    Caught with your pants down 😂 but for real, in terms of the bathroom/ shower tent, I would go with the one with the poles. It seems sturdier! For sleeping, I like the pop up tent, but will it hold up in the rain and wind?

      @leadfarmer73  2 года назад +1

  • @FangOxide
    @FangOxide 2 года назад +1

    id use the pop up for using the bathroom. If i was going to actually use it for showering with a shower bag, I would use the other one because if you dont have trees near by you can hang the shower bag on those sturdy poles. I think it depends on how long ur staying and how much you care carry or transport to camp. thats a hard decision for me... i say pop up for short trips or (popping up to the grounds) lol 1 or 2 day over nights and the other for long trips and actual showering. as for the tents i like the stick tent.

      @@leadfarmer73 I like that the tent is lined with a material that others can’t see a silhouette when someone is inside. The tent is pretty big and would be great for someone tall. Only downside is that you have to stake it up real good. Has a rain cover and an opening for a hose for like a shower water bag. Quick set up and breakdown.
      The water bag works great just like the one they sell at the big box store but has a better sprayer. I bought a long hose to replace the one that it came with. Also you can control the sprayer, flow and on/off.

      I’m not sure if this is the right place to comment, but I want to thank you and Lady Lead again for teaching me and everyone else to practice their preps. My son gave me 50 gallon drums months ago. I waited on he or my husband to turn them into what I wanted, today in the pouring rain I decided to fix them myself. I have already caught 100 gallons of water in the course of an hour. I thank the Lord for your dedication to teach teaching even when some act like trolls.
