I want to see the tent in the thumbnail for this video, it’s why I clicked on it!!!
Same
thanks now I am stopping the vid after 10 seconds
Me too
Clickbait!
Yep. Dislike this clickbait
Holy crap.. stuff sure has evolved since I did any camping back in the 70s
$9000 for a tent? Didnt know rich people enjoyed ruoughing it that much..
Don't piss on it and your okay..
😂😂
Ikr
The rich will pay that much for a tent, but stiff the sherpa that saved their life on Mt Everest. I'd leave the rich bastards on the top, then charge triple for them to get back down.
Thats the cheap one, it doesn't come with the inflatable butler and fox hunting simulator.
I can't imagine many people wanting to set up a gigantic tent so that their vehicle can be inside. LOL
seems like it might appeal to offroaders. It's probably more comfortable than sleeping in the car, even if it is a little extra.
That sounds like a personal issue. Our car is part of our way of life and our family. How would you feel if you weren't included??? We include our car in all our activities. I think you have some issue to look at
@@shanemartin8904😂
Some call it Glamping..
I was thinking it could appeal to tradesmen to work inside if its raining at the clients house
Wow how did i survive all my camping trips in the 60s without an air conditioner and a $1900 stove!😊😊😊
Okay, Boomer.
@@Smitty_McSmittyas a 21 yr old.. stfu and get a job, he got more experience in anything you know
@@Smitty_McSmitty Yup!
I remember canvas tents, and my dad tying tarps o the trees so we wouldn't get wet when it rained. I remember him pumping up the stove, and getting a pot of water on it for coffee. Some nights we froze our asses off, and would all gather around the fire. Warm up your back and then your front. Keep moving the chairs around so you aren't the one who gets the smoke. Now, my 87 yo mother has 40' trailer with air conditioning and satellite TV, lol.
@@GOGOSLIFE that's funny my parents did the same thing once I was in highschool. It had all the modern things. They both are gone but I'll never forget those wonderful years of camping.
That little A/C unit for a personal tent -- on a solar panel, all portable as needed is genius. Every home should have one along with snow chains, a boat and a fire extinguisher.
Don't forget the butler.
The fact that the tent in the thumbnail isn’t even in the video when it was the reason I clicked I upsetting me very much
Tent in the thumbnail was never shown.
Its an ai photo
Thanks mate, saved me 15 minutes.
Thanks for the heads up! Now I’ll back out!😂👍🏼👍🏼
I know id be the only one getting shocked with that bear tent! Lol
That’s what I was thinking
That's really going to protect you against a grizzly attack 😂😂😂😂
I've been dreaming of tents like that since I was a small child. I STILL love making tents, be it outside or inside. These Coleman tents make it see like they try to also capture the imagination of the camper as well. It just looks like fun!!
Cool
It reminds me of a certain episode of Community
Do you not feel annoyed at the creator for misleading you with the thumbnail? I'm always curious if people just overlook it or what.
Does anyone remember the old canvas tents? If you were inside when it was raining and you touched it, it would leak😂
they are designed to capture the imagination of people who never actually camp and impulse buy a completely useless product.
I have a version of the gigapump called the FlexTail. Can confirm it's super useful.
Was really hoping to see the tent on the thumbnail, only reason I clicked.
This is the 2nd time they used that image, and yeah they just use it as click bait.
Same here. The tent doubling as an outdoor sofa seems like a great idea for partying in the woods.
@@SunRabbit I've done multiple searches for it and even with the image and have found nothing, It may be a prototype.
That'll learn ya.
The THECATAL Trailer is truly perfect for family outings, and the loft design is incredibly creative.
"The harsh British summer" hahaha 😂
What a great camping invention.. Get yourself a time out camper!! Affordable and perfect for a couple!!.
Neat ideas, but if I could afford that, I'd buy a camper van 😭
Facts 💯 !!
Just imagine you forgot to fully charge the bear fence...😂
Ya or get drunk piss on your tent be the last time you camp lmao 🤣 😊
Get yourself a time out camper!! Affordable and perfect for a couple!!
If you need an electrified tent to stay safe, then I'm swerving that trip!
@@maruiacancer6 - why is your avatar of a man, man? men can't get ovarian cancer. go away.
I use a pistol. No batteries needed!
@@scarcheer7211unfortunately for bears you need a large caliber pistol, not many people have the wrist strength
It would be bad if you woke up in the middle of the night to heed nature's call and forgot it was electrified.
@@susanwaltman2607 Guess you'd only make that mistake once though 🤣
First two would be great for a base camp where you’d be doing out and back summit hikes in remote location
So, um. DOES the " bear" one serve as an outdoor electric chair if it starts raining? I don't see this going well.
I have camped since before i was born {{ nothing weird, mother was pregnant with me loll }}. To say i love the outdoors is a massive understatement. I love survival skills, camping, hunting, tracking, fishing, shooting {{ Just targets for many years now ;) }}, foraging etc etc. But, you can't beat lying there listening to the rain dance on your tent as you drift off to sleep. Then get up to a sunny morning creating the most amazing smells as it dries out the wet ferns, nettles and shrubs etc. I would love to be a guinea pig for new inventions used outdoors. I find it sad that so many kids don't get to experience the simple beauty of nature and the most natural things life has to offer in this age of technology. I do believe they can be used to benefit one another, when paired properly. Happy camping peeps 😁
I watched someone test an inflatable tent. They have a fundamental design flaw. Air volume changes at different temperatures. As the evening cools, your tent deflates. A bit of wind, and the tent folds over. Even without any holes, it just didn’t work. Even if they overcame those issues, if your tent gets a tiny hole in it, you’re without a tent. A spark from the fire, a pin from clothing, it’s just too easy to get little holes in those things. If your air mattress deflates, you have an uncomfortable night. If your tent deflates, it’s a nightmare.
Animal chews a small hole… endless possibilities..
...a small ash, from the campfire... I patched my tent when I got home. Not so sure I would want to be forced to be patching a tent late at night so it didn't collapse on me before daylight. I hear ya!
Except that airtents are already a commonplace thing. Pressure is such that temperature makes no difference. The tent can usually survive one or more leaks and your poles can't break in the wind. Also repairing a leak is no harder than repairing a flat on a bicycle.
True, but they have been making inflatable motor/speedboats for ages so I'd figure there should be some options
Pay $1300 for a 300 square foot, unheated/cooled, no washer/dryer apartment, or spend ~$15,000 on a tent setup that has more amenities and live in the woods. Really sad that that's becoming the reality.
A hotel/motel room might be cheaper than some of these tents. $9000 could get you 45 nights in a fairly descent hotel, with a pool and shower, and you don't have to put it together, and take it down.
Yes a very good point! Also up to 90 nights in a motel. But rich wealthy people can set up a $9,000 ‘tent’ on an artificial astro turf grass floor living room, “inside” a large mansion house for simulated camping, dry & warm, near the luxury bathroom & personal chef meals, and watch the big screen TV through the ‘tents’ zipper entry door from a sleeping bag or lawn chair. No danger of bear attacks either!
Did i miss the tent from the thumbnail...cannot find it.
Yeah, they've used that thumbnail on multiple videos and never say anything about it. Annoying.
Its the one tent i want and the one tent i cant get.
Thumbs down for clickbait
I want to see the tent in the thumbnail for this video, it’s why I clicked on it!!!
Thumbs down for click bait!!!!
The electric bear wires works great.
I don't have issues with bears, but works on young kids also
now they're for the tax collectors.
Would be useful on my allotment to stop the badgers eating my sweetcorn. We do have an electric fence that used to be in the horses' field but it's a bit cumbersome as it needs a car battery. This little thing would be a whole lot easier!
the electric bear fence is pretty cool. but I could definitely see quite a few accidental shocks when going out for a midnight wee.
I pictured me and my friends getting drunk and daring each other to touch it, while laughing our asses off
Why would you wee on your tent? Bet that smells pretty bad after being packed away for a season...
@@Repodicus not on it, out of it. when a man needs to wee at night, he simply dangles the apparatus out of the safety of said tent, into the wild darkness.
it's only 12v if I heard correctly. no idea how that's supposed to deter anything other than maybe a rodent
I've been dreaming of tents like that since I was a small child.
I don't wanna sleep outside..........that's why I go to work.
Did you know that campsites are normally in rural areas!?! WHO COULD HAVE GUESSED?!
I used to do it in the garden, but i got into an argument with the gnomes
@@scrubbyjanitor1704 gnomes are assholes
Haven't been to Portland, have you?
Oki was wondering where the tent /couch was on the image but guess it was click bait
That "bear fence" seems perfect for camping at one of the summer festival campgrounds, keeping out the drunks and lost campers.
What a great camping invention.
Wow, I always wanted to camp sleeping above my car so I can smell the gas, oil and engine fluids from the car.
Everything here is way beyond the average budget
Good Job! You show all other tents other than the one that lured me to watch this video.
At $9000, im not camping in that thing, im moving in.
Thanks for uploading this. Was cool to see.
WOW!!! Waterproof tent pegs. Who was the genius that came up with that idea? Well done StakeLight.
Clearly the water proof rating was for the led light on the tent peg.😒
@@edr.inc.4650 Clearly there needs to be a sarcasm font.😒
@@myysticranger sarcasm is clearly not one of your strong points 🤪
To all the people who are reading this comment, I just want to say that everything is going to be OK, we're here for you. I believe you can overcome all the sadness in your life. Just try your best
The Coleman Connectable Tent is no longer available and is discontinued by Coleman. Good luck trying to find them as many are sold out. I bought 3 of them 2 years ago (1 main and 2 add-ons) and very much enjoy them when camping.
Decathlon in Europe (huuuuge sport gear company) has their own models.
What's the reasoning for discontinuing these tents? I wonder .
Dear God, the interconnected tents kills my introverted spirit! I don’t want a community when I’m camping!
But think of all the possibilities of having all that to yourself. You can make it a different floor plan every time you set up a sweet luxury 6 or 8 room encampment.
Everyone still knows you're fapping in your tent mate
Ikr. I bought tents for me to sleep in, now suddenly my family is planning trips and I'm out here going wtf? What happened to the 'have never camped, will never camp' attitude? *sighs* at this rate, we'll have to bring every piece of equipment I own so I can still have a tent to myself. Geez ppl. Get your own!
@nicholastv5543 hmm, not ringing any bells, but I'm terrible with names. AAR Corp?
Build a maze so nobody can get to your tent
I would not trust that skimpy wire to protect me against a grizzly bear
There are a few bee keepers where I live who protect their boxes with electric fences and when the black bears decide they want some honey the fences do not stop them.
That tent that you can put your car in, it also has another useful function, keep your car on during the night when you sleep to stay warm!
"I'd like to drown please"
"Here's a SUP tent"
This concept of joining smaller tents into one main tent has been around a few years with the Crua tents. Possibly the most rugged and best built tents in the world.
That makes me think of Hilleberg, also really rugged and well-built, and have some tents that can be joined together.
Yeah I went camping with tents like that when I was younger, we had tunnels and stuff leading to each other's tents they were cool.
yip...old idea and done, but modern materials.
Yeah, I like those cruas but they are a bit expensive. Like the lodge.
Didn't Quechua do a thing where you bought the 'base' tent and then added modules to it? I think that was quite a while ago.
9:35 That Giga Pump is an amazing invention and well worth the price of $39.00!
I 've got a similar thing ... brilliant piece of kit
... so, they still don't have their own tent... 😂
I like the garage tent where your bed is above the said vehicle. Instead of vehicle id have the picnic table in there. Ive also found a new passion for hammocks.
Hahahaha I thought I read "garbage tent" :) I love hammocks too! Learning how to build one is challenging, to say the least.
They can withstand up to 35mph wind.....
Thats like.. a standard day in the UK :)
Don't forget the rain.
5:26 Or, you could duct tape a glow stick to each stake. Pack of four for 1.25 at Dollar Tree.
😅 IDK why they needed to illuminate the stakes. I would rely on tent lines to trip up the bears 😅
@@FurnitureFan I meant that it’s smart to have the stakes lit up so people don’t trip on them. 😊
Bears do seem like they are bumbling oafs but they are not to be underestimated! They will figure things out- they’re apex predators, after all. Personally, I’m very impressed by how bears hunt and stalk. Just like cats, they will pretend to be doing something else nearby and then rush and overtake their prey in a heartbeat. 😅
Bear thinks this tent tickles. Never mind time for my packed lunch
Prices are inconceivable. Maybe, do a video on what a person can do with cheap tarps on a budget. Pretty sure i could build a comfortable hard sided camper for two for under 2,000. And that includes the trailer. Who's going to pay 9,000 for a tent ?
If you get drunk enough, you can sleep anywhere.
😂😂😂😂
Living in Germany I go to Oktoberfest each year and yes I see people sleeping anywhere and everywhere.
I love watching these videos and l always learn about great new innovations for camping, even though I have no vehicle and won't be goung camping, they're still such fun to watch!👍🏻😄. Unfortunately l think the reason camping has taken off more than ever and is in such an upswing, is sadly, down to economy-- in the name Homelessness. For those in such positions, campung out has been the only roof over their heads. However many of these folk are even 'living' (i.e. just surviving), unable to afford many of these items. I have personally known people who have camped out due to homelessness. I wish l were rich and could buy these products and give them away to the ones who could really use them.🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
Absolutely... give them to the homeless
@@collenemcdonald7695 For sure, everyone needs a hand sometimes and you know governments are always the last to help the little guy. I see it regularly because I live downtown in the capital. There are 5 shelters just minutes walks from Justin's office.🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
These things are crazy expensive 😂 wild how much camping has changed over the years
Alll very cool but I’m so happy they used Costello dancing as background music 🤣🤣so nostalgic
Anyone who puts their car or cooks inside their tent deserves their Darwin award the will inventively get.
Ya, just because we CAN cook in our tents doesn't mean we WANT to.
@@dannydaw59 I thought that. I never cook inside. If it's raining I'll stand outside under an umbrella rather than take a chance of the tent catching fire.
Imagine if bears had electric fences to protect their forest from humans who come to spread their garbage all over the place..
We could make "towns" with this tecnic.. wow great idéer.. love this bigtime ❤️ Thank you for sharing 💕✌️smile
See you in Hole Town.
the good combi camp is back
What happens to the electric tent when it’s raining and condensates?
Natural selection happens
I remember when camping means enjoying NATURE now technology is taking over
Oh I do agree. I love the basic getting back to nature part. However although I resisted having electric hook up I had to give in eventually as my husband needs a little fridge to keep his insulin in, plus it's very handy for charging up the Kindle! I can't be anywhere without plenty of reading matter.
The electrified fence has more chance to catch a drunk than a 🐻
I could really use some of theses products for my tube channel. Just did a camping video on the river and slept on stones. Was fun but some of these setups would make it easer.
That last one .. “the harsh British summer” at like 75° F ….
Interesting products. Do I need them? NO!!!!thank you very much. I will stick with what I already have. The whole point of camping is to escape all the wires, gadgets and luxury of life, not to bring it along with you in the woods.
Hello, I am a camper from Japan. Your videos are very informative. Thank you for the wonderful content!
So much for the green inflatable tent in the picture before the video starts
For someone who loves camping, investing in a lasting and great quality tent is something I'm willing to do because I'd make sure to get my money's worth out of using it. Same with my survival knife 😂
I agree but some of these are not tents but prefabricated silk homes.
The electrical fence is a good idea. Heard horror stories about people being attacked when out camping. Even if the fence just gives a shock it will be a warning for you!
I'd like the laser protection fence like the one in the "Congo" movie, please. :)
À warning to do what then, gently ask the bear to spare your life?
I'd like someone to set up motion sensitive video cameras all around one of those electric tents, then put some raw steak inside and leave. Love to see the footage the next day because I feel certain that the shock would anger the bear, and the scent of food would only encourage them to keep coming. They would swat or crash into the tent - and that is even just getting away from the charge - so I doubt the tent would be standing long. I don't think it would take much to break through it, and then the steak would be readily consumed. We humans are just bigger steaks to them, so they would still have a feast.
@@CarolinaCarolina-ph9mxguys in Alaska use the fence to protect the meat and camp unfenced a couple hundred yards away. I personally keep the latrine VERY close to the tent.
No bears in Australia.
This video should be titled "how go camping without camping"
Garage/tent seems like a great way to get some carbon monoxide!
being an avid camper and outdoors-man, and Retired Army. I do get a chuckle at some of these "Toys". An air conditioner for a damned tent. Laugh. I have camped in the desert, (Several location) in the Arctic. You have sleeping bags an clothing for dealing with extreme hot or cold. If you pay thousands for a tent, and other stuff, (A kitchen?) You are not a REAL camper. Just buy a camper of motor home and sAVE on the embarasment.
Sometimes you just need to deal with weather, or stay the heck home.
Also, weight is always important. You know that when you are hauling a 120 lb ruck.
Ok then bigman...
Imo the AC has its places. I can see one for my semi as a backup (nothing like trying to sleep in a metal box when its 110 outside) or to take the edge off in a disaster situation where people entirely unprepared for long term camping are thrown into it after losing everything.
Most of that other stuff was just crap though. Only thing worth money may be that modular tent setup. I can see that being useful in several situations if not nessesarily more practical then other solutions.
That go to Carbon-monoxide perfusion-tent-for-six looks like a well-thought-out design for suicide-pacts and death-cults alike; even provides privacy for CSI investigating the aftermath.
Absolutely.
I thought of the igloo template, with lights about 6 years ago. I knew someone else would too.
Could you imagine you go to take a piss and trip in the dark and get electricuted by your tent LOL
7:16 Where does this device get its power from?
wood, you are supposed to be in forest
@@kennymaster900 Wood can generate energy?
I think it's solar energy
The electric fence is going to do nothing but annoy a bear and piss him off, kinda like what would happen if I squeezed a few .22LR rounds off at him 😂

“Harsh British summer!” Ummm… 🇦🇺🙋🏻♂️ I have some questions on what that means 😂😂😂
😂😂 ikr😂 summer is harsher anywhere else in the world but Britain. Lmao I lived there for over 10 years and it trained 80% of the time. 😂

i didnt see it either.
$9000 tent? Did I hear that right?? Just buy a good used RV. I do really like the first tent. Great for extended family camping. Toddlers safe running from room to room.
Holy crap the cost of camping gear has somewhat rocketed.
I couldn't be arsed to lug around a lot of this gear and to be honest, I'm never happier than when I'm just lying under a tarp tied between two trees. The simpler the better 🙂
A video about camping gear for people who don’t really like camping. It reminds me of the RVers with their TVs and lawn art.
6:14 yes let's all just waste 300 gallons of water to impress our camping buddies! Maybe in a survival situation, otherwise that seems wasteful.
good to see someone else thinking the same way.
15 meters per second? That's only 33mph 😂
or 54 Km/h
⚠ The Carbon Monoxide detector should be near the ground where you're breathing not up in the air. CO is heavier than oxygen.
CO is heavier than air, but it is produced by something burning. So, the CO is hot, and hot CO is lighter than cold air. Put the detector at the height you are breathing (lying down, sitting or standing up). 1.5 m seems a good average.
The still image used for this video says it all. Man with a $50 hair cut sitting in a weirdly expensive looking tent
So where is the tent that you show in the thumbnail?
If its that cold outside for the igloo tent to freeze that means the hose would freeze not including the pipes 😮
Water is extremely difficult to freeze while it's moving. As long as the hose is on, it's unlikely to freeze
Are you suggesting it's some sort of CGI hoax?
Not if the water is continually moving. It won’t freeze unless the water stops flowing.
It’s for lazy Eskimos!
cool tent!
$9k for a tent! Crazy!
No way I want my tent sharing the same air as my camping buddies. Especially after the food we have around the campfire. They need to keep their sounds and smells to themselves!
😂😂😂😂
What if you want to knock some boots? I’ll pass on the tunnel tent
