I have the Ivation shower and use with a 5 gallon HD bucket. To combat the fumbling when trying to shut water off in between without wasting, I modified the hose with a diverter valve and return hose. Now it can be turned off and I don’t risk burning motor out or losing precious water. I also drilled out hose inlet/outlet holes and added length stoppers so pump stays upright in bucket and another hole for a wood stick punched in cork to float on top of water level, which allows me to keep an eye on water level without dirty water falling back in bucket. When done just lift lid and it pulls up pump to turn power off.

In a pinch you can also use a brand new small air-pump weed-sprayer container from a home improvement store - the small 1-2 gallon kind you pressurize with a small pump rod on top. Some are as cheap as $5. Fill it with water, pump it up, and shower away. Just find something big to stand behind,

This is exactly what i do.. I have the same Green Elephant tent. I have a 3 gallon collapsible bucket i use and i have a 5 gallon clear water bag i leave on the picnic table all day to heat up. I dont mind a warm shower. Sometime i will boil a big pot just to take the edge off the cold. I use 3 to 5 gallons of water per shower depending on if im conditioning my hair or not. Its a great plan and i love to shower outside like that. Its awesome!!! I but the tent up next to my the back door on my SUV to make it more private. I open the back hatch and put a chair in between them with my clothes on it and towel. It works great.

If water is tight we do an Asian shower which can use as little as 500ml of water. I use a microfibre car sponge, wet it and washed yourself. Rinse it off and wipe off or use the other side, then a normal MF towel the size of a tea towel to dry off. Use dirty water to rinse off feet. I use a wet wipe or 2 to do my bits

The cheap solar shower bags that we have were on sale at 2 for $9.95 in our local Anaconda, so I bought 10.
I have seen them on sale as low as $4.00 each in Anaconda.
We can solar heat up to 200L for the ensuite 12v shower system powered from our solar charged 1987 Cub Camp-O-Matic Offroad 380 camper trailer.
If the water is not warm enough for a shower, it can be heated a bit more in a big stainless steel pot over a fire.
Any empty bags are filled with the same 12v shower pump from a creek in the morning.
I had a thought of joining 3 bags together with hose T pieces connected to just 1 nozzle for increased capacity and pressure without using any 12v power.

Yes, we are 🙂 - and that’s great! If we could do it over, we may have used a van as well. As for the Ivation, so far so good on our end. We aren’t using it everyday though, just for trips here and there throughout the year. Sticking your hand in is no issue unless you’ve got boiling water. We will typically use two buckets, have really hot, almost boiling water in one and unheated in the other and pour the hot water in until it’s what we want. We will keep the showerhead in the one we’re mixing water obviously. Make sure to charge it! That’s the best tip we can give.

Yeah, we worry about that too, but also try not to travel anywhere where it’s super hot or super cold. We have a whole bucket setup too. Try peat moss if you like. Just wipe down with a bath wipe or heat water in a cheap sun shower and wear shorts. Here's a tip, if you bath in the ocean or a lake us Ivory soap because it floats, then rinse off with a sun shower.
