Great post! 💯👌 One more piece of information you didn't mention along with Delta and Theta before jumping into an option is Volume and Open Interest. This is very important particularly if you're planning to be in an option short-term. You need buyers and/or sellers on the other side when you plan on getting out of an option. That said. The greater the volume in unison with a fair amount of Open Interest (say of over 100), the more other traders become interested in the security. Traders sometimes view volume as an indicator of the strength of a particular price movement. More volume also means that there is greater "liquidity" in the contract; this is desirable from a short-term trading perspective, as it means that there is an abundance of buyers and sellers in the market.

I tried my first call 30 days out that's been in a fast uptrend at a 30 delta. It came up making more then I paid in the first day then it dropped and hasn't seen the light of day since. Good thing its not that much for a learning trade. Great video wish I found it a week ago. Gotta pa tuition I guess

Let’s say I have a Call Option with XYZ, and XYZ is currently at $30.5.... I set my expiration date to expire on January 29th with a strike price of $30 (ITM). So let’s say starting on January 10th I see the price getting higher and higher all the way up to $40. Will I be at risk if the stock gets to $40 way before expiration date? Should I hurry and take profit or allow it to keep going up closer to expiration date to get more money?
Also, how do I find cheaper stock options because with most companies options are expensive. So just wondering how can I find a cheaper company to buy options with that fits my budget.

When is it advantages to place a put or call with a long expiry date? How does time decay impact such a trade? Thank you
when the stock has high growth margins. Time decay is lower for long positions. Shorter-term options decay faster than longer-term options

click the option, and then under limit price - click the bid/ask drop down and you'll see the greeks
Hi, just found you and love your videos! So when I set a strike price with expiration date, do I have to set another strike price to hit to profitably close the trade?
I believe what you're hinting at is actually the take-profit closing price. When it comes to options trading, hitting a specific strike price isn't necessarily the key factor for closing a trade profitably.
Instead, it's all about the options premium. That's the fancy term for the price of the options contract itself. You'll want to keep an eye on that premium and set a take-profit closing price based on what you hope to achieve.
Think of it like this: when the options premium hits a certain level that you're happy with, that's when you might consider closing the trade and securing your profit. It's like reaching the super satisfying target you had in mind.

It shows you on the stock drop down menu that shows the price,volume,high and low. The next earnings date is there

Hey isn't implied volatility a measure of sensitivity? ( in either direction ). Also, I have to assume that you're talking about just out of the money strikes. You want delta to be no less than .6 . But what about an option that's near the spot price or near the money?
