I’m loving your channel but I been wondering how to find good cheap options. So thanks a lot. I been researching options trading for the past year and I believe I’m ready. Once I make a little money I will join your team. Thanks.
Thanks ! I came back to BGS lol ! Love the content and quick to the point , also the related links. I love Iron Condors ! It's great when you can find those "range" bound stocks . Covered Calls on Tesla anyone lol ???
I have been watching your channel since the beginning and it is great to see you continuing to grow. You have really stepped your game up and I am thankful for all the hard work you put in. Keep it up.
Thank you for sharing your expertise. Curious about robinhood options watchlist. When the watch list shows total return, does that factor in the premium paid? Example, if I by a contract for $150 and the contact on the watch list shows total return of $175. Is my profit $175 or $25 (after subtracting premium)
Hi. Ive been thinking of doing this because i noticed expensive options are also more riskier in my opinion and vome with greater loas as aresult. But i dont have the program to creat trending lines, i just go by my own analysis. So can you please tell me what is yhe program/s i can use to build trending lines, please? Thank you.
Absolutely, more expensive options often come with greater risk - you're on the money with that observation. As for charting and creating trend lines, there are a couple of great platforms I can suggest. You might want to check out Webull or Thinkorswim. Both are pretty solid for technical analysis and should help you with plotting those trend lines.
@@BlackGirlStocks thank you. Lol. I have webull but I didn't know you can create trend lines with it. 😅 I will begin to do that next week. This week I've been totally depleted. I expended all my assets doing options. I started in December and turned 300 to 5,000 one week then 1,000 to 3,000 last week. I took my profit, but this week I think I lost about 1,000. Smh. But I come back only by growing the little left I have invested. I'm not putting no more money in. Only money should be coming out. 🫡👍 But sometimes you have to learn, hustle at a real job, then come back and try again...
How long should you make your options contracts to be the most profitable 6 months? Also, is creating option contacts that last 2 or more years a good idea?
Thanks, I have one question: When we are trading actions we can't be at the same time bullish and bearish with the same stock. Is it possible with options ? It means, can I buy put and call tor TSLA at the same time for exemple ?
Well explained I been trying to learn options its not clicking soo I believe I'm going to just jump in with lower cost options with cash I can afford to possibly lose...does this make sense?
Oh, I see where the confusion comes from! Let's clarify this - so when I said I bought a contract, I was referring to the premium I paid for the options contract itself, not the actual stock. Here's how it works: The position was TQQQ 21.5 PUT9/23 @ .50. In this, "21.5" is the strike price of the contract and ".50" stands for the premium per share. So, I didn’t shell out $2,150 for 100 shares; instead, I paid the premium price of .50 per share for 100 shares, (.50 X 100) which totals to $50. That's it. Hope that clears things up! Keep the questions coming if you have more - we're all here to learn, after all!
You can just look for stocks with the highest volume and trade OTM low premium options on them. They are guaranteed to move and usually have high option volume and open interest
Hey Sophia Firstly, give yourself a massive pat on the back for wanting to dive into the trading world! So you've got $200 to start. That's awesome! We all start somewhere, and this is your starting line. I'd suggest kicking things off with screeners like ones in ThinkorSwim or Webull. They'll help you find options that fit right into your budget. Now, I might sound like a broken record here, but I can't stress enough: avoid risking more than 1-5% of your portfolio on a trade. This doesn't mean your trade has to cost that much, but if things aren't going your way, you’ll want to cut your losses before they hit around 5% of your portfolio. Talking about strategies, finding one that gels with you - it could be a breakout, a moving average crossover strategy - it's your choice. To help, I've got a bunch of videos on trading strategies right here. Yes, you'll see a lot of folks around here saying don’t bother with paper trading. But trust me, don’t buy into that BAD ADVICE. Paper trading is awesome for fine-tuning your strategy and learning from your mistakes. You get to concentrate on your trades without the nagging worry of losing real cash! I'd suggest you give paper trading a shot while you're getting the hang of your selected strategy, and slowly shift to a fully funded account once you notice a steady rise in your win rate percentage. Remember, trading is a journey - your journey. It’s about learning, growing and becoming better, one trade at a time. And hey, who said mistakes weren’t part of the process? They're your stepping stones towards becoming a brilliant trader. Keep at it, my friend.
To avoid the risk of an unwanted assignment, you can always close the spread prior to expiration, or at least close the short options you wrote, and take a partial profit or loss on the trade.
I'll usually go with a weekly - I pick monthly options for swings. I stopped doing same day EXP options as much. Even if its a scalp/daytrade I like to have a least 2-3 till EXP for a little cushion

that is your pure profit return from the position

If you're looking at longterm options over 6 months I would be sure to follow the longterm trend on the daily and weekly time frames.
Question 2 : In your scan , what can I do if I'm bearish, do I have to scan with Delta is less than 0.4 ?
For bearish, change the delta for negative values between 0 and -1.

Hi, when you said you bought a contract for $50, for 100 shares at 21.5, does that mean you paid $2150 + $50 = $2200 total?
