    I'm a chemist, & I've been trying every method for many years methodically, recording every parameter & result of every coffee, & I independently came to the conclusion that the best way to make coffee for ease, flavour & consistency, is the same as what this guy just described. The only thing I'd add is you should control the water temperature based on the roast level, aim for around 6% coffee (6g beans per 100ml water), & around 4% creamer. And use a medium grind, a bit finer than for filter coffee

      you can but its messy and wont give as even an extraction. the clever dripper done right creates a bed of coffee grounds at the bottom which the coffee water then filters through which provides a more even extraction. also pouring a coffee water slurry through a filter tends to clog the paper which makes extraction really slow, using a clever dripper and adding the water first is a lot faster. the dripper is more convenient and will produce better, more evenly extracted coffee

  • @Mohammadali_9999
    @Mohammadali_9999 10 месяцев назад +7

    you should wet the paper by some hot water then pour that water out, add the coffee powder, pour 40 ml of water on it slowly, let it drip, then add 130 ml and then 130 ml. it's in 3 pours and should take 3 to 5 minutes.

      For the Clever dripper you put the water in first. This improves the draw down time and prevents over extraction leading to better flavor.

    For your daily dose of micro plastics!
    Don’t pour boiling liquid through plastic then drink it, if at all possible. Use glass!

    • @JadeNeoma
      @JadeNeoma Месяц назад

      the plastic has been tested and it doesn't leach any microplastics. the plastic is perfectly safe. in general hest and plastic aren't a good idea but it doesn't hold true for all plastics and the plastic clever dripper is perfectly safe

      @@JadeNeoma all things break down over time, especially when heated repeatedly. This may be a high grade plastic but it’s still plastic. If they offer glass or metal, that’s preferable.

    this is just filter coffee making, nothing fancy about it

    • @JadeNeoma
      @JadeNeoma Месяц назад

      its kinda different, normal filter cones are always open at the bottom so the water drains over the whole brew. the clever dripper has a valve so the water doesn't drain while brewing so it's a mix of immersion (like a french press) then a filter stage

      No, the water won't get cold in 3 minutes. That said, I use 2 minutes on this. Even with 5 minutes it will still come out hotter than you would want to drink.

      you put the water in first so the fines in the coffee don't clog the filter paper which causes issues with extraction and draw down
