Why didn’t Gary’s voice sound like this in Van Halen? Where was the vibrato? I love both Van Halen and Extreme, but Van Halen III should have sounded better.
Because Eddie produced that album and had Gary scream like Sammy in every song instead of letting him be himself. People blame Gary for that album but it's Eddies' fault. It should have been produced by Donn Landee or Ted Templeman, anybody but Eddie who is too in love with himself to realize it wasn't good.

Gary's voice is perfect!
Extreme is the most underrated band of all most underrated bands. Nuno is hell of a musician, multi-instrumentalist, a demigod!
Gary is a blessed vocalist, I love his voice so much!
