So a new bad ass Nuno riffs album would be cool to have in the not too distant future. I guess the new Purple is around the corner. I love great productions and the last two DP albums with Bob Ezrin sound wonderful.

In bad guitarists, the picking hand will be delayed long enough that listeners hear something off, which they will chalk up as sloppiness. Also, guitarists will tend to get stuck in particular patterns of tone jumping within a scale. Most guitarists really only rely on a few scales upon which they base all of their solos. Nuno might have worshiped Eddie but he does not sound like Eddie. He sounds like himself. No one else sounds like Nuno. However, he can be copied.
Even though I am a drummer at heart, I play some guitar and dig talented bastards like Nuno....and my brother. I tried turning him onto these guys years ago with little luck...."ya he (Nuno) probably plays 9's (gauge of strings starting at 9mm rather than 10mm). Then he saw the Take Us Alive video....we got him on board now. My buddy and I have been fans from the beginning. Last Summer we finally saw them live. Took my brother and another friend. We got him to be a fan too!

Oh, to have been one of those women who gave Nuno a hug.... sigh. And to see him standing on stage in the reflected light of the Mourning Widows cross/thorns tatoo .... wow. Obvious it's his faith that keeps him anchored. Fist bump perfect ending. Looks like they had just finished playing More Than Words.

The little girl @ beginning? The guy whose head Nuno rubbed? The gal who gave Nuno a bear hug? Thousands in the audience? Their trauma & suffering must be unimaginable ...............
I never knew they followed the DVD up with a music video. Pretty cool to have a Tour one. Loved the 2008 tour. Guess I'm in the minority who likes em touring new music.
