Wow, so like Eddie VH, Nuno also started out on drums. I always hear a lot of EVH influence in Nuno's style and tapping. I used to wonder how Cherone got picked to front Van Halen years ago, but he has a voice that sounds fitting to front them, for the short duration that he did.
@@radgeheid Awesome. Have fun rocking out!!! (I love Scotland. I'm sure your crowd will be more excited and energetic than the one I'll be stuck with here in the States.)
I dont think this audience really understands how difficult and great music they are attending to. Nuno is a great guitar player. And Pat keeps up with him dubbing in the bass thru some hard rythms.
Pat Badger is one seriously kick ass bassist!!!!!!! I can't even believe how good he is. With GREAT back round vocals to top it off! Man would I love to have him in my band. Great bass players who can also sing really well are worth their weight in gold in my opinion.
He's probably great but, he's playing for Nuno. Nuno's flying all over the harmonies and riffs. I don't even hear the bass. Don't need too. Nuno does everything
I just found out I was looking at the song that they played More Than Words and I saw that years ago I didn't realize what they were all about especially Nuno God he's gorgeous
Nunos playing is even more impressive when you see the setup he uses. One of the most basic setups out there. Good amps and a couple pedals... thats it
I am in AWE of how good they are live. This song is hard enough to play anyway, and to do it in front of an audience without missing a beat -- Nuno looks so comfortable while playing things that are very difficult to pull off (or hammer on, etc... for that matter).
I think Mangini is quite overrated. Sure, technically he's amazing, but he just lacks a lot of soul and character for my taste. Portnoy is a lot better in that regard.
Marc Buyers sorry .. but I have to disagree. for me Mangini isn't overrated at all. but yeah, his playing doesn't have character that Portnoy has. and obviously that seems to bother some of DT die-hard fans. very understandable ;)
I saw these guys at Massey Hall in Toronto during this tour. They brought out a horn section dressed like Miami Vice characters for this tune. It was unbelievable. What an amazing band. 💯🤘🤙🙌
Where's the horns in this? We saw them perform this at the Orpheum in Boston in the early 90s and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones guest appeared during this song and did the horn section - it was flippin' amazing!!
True geniuses... can't stop listening... after about 20 repeat, I had to pick up my guitar that I haven't used for quite a while... really inspirational material right there
So, watched this video many times, and just came across it again today in a playlist… I am just now noticing (intentional or not) the drummer‘s tribute to Don Brewer from Grand Funk!Same hair, same pork chops, same red sparkle drum set… I don’t think it’s an accident
Whoever that new drummer is...I'm damn impressed! He damn near NAILED Paul Geary's original drumbeat to this. While he added a bit of his own flair to it, he did it in a way that complimented the original. Damn good!!!
What can I say that hasnt been said about this bands' skills? Havent ever been a huge extreme fan. But I understand what talent looks and sounds like. These boys have it in spades!
This band is so good. Gary is a great singer and frontman. Nuno is God, and Pat keeps up with him while singing as well. The drummer is the engine that moves them all forward.
FUCKIN RIGHT!!! These boys belong on the big stage..glad they worked the differences out. EXTREME!!! thats the right name for this band...Cuz this is EXTREME funk rock bad ass shit,,,YEA!!
Yeah, these lads didn’t get proper respect. Nuno B. is top ten no doubt. The drummer’s playing is all business, and yet look how much he’s enjoying the night. You never saw Alex Van Halen smile. He’s all business too! Thanks for the great video.
No love for the Pat's bass? He is up there with Nuno. very underrated as well.
Nuno has got to be one of the most percussive guitarists out there. So damn underrated this man.
He started out on drums and his brother taught him how to play 🎸
I think he is actually not underrated, because he is part of GENERATION AXE with Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde ... :)
I unconciously play this way a lot with a drum pedal.
He is an awesome drummer as well!
Cupid's Dead might be Extreme's masterpiece. That funky metal breakdown is fucking monstrous. Insane how overlooked this song is.
Agreed. The “breakdown” part is so original. Phrasing percussive riffs one after another. I prefer it to any traditional guitar solo.
Everything Nuno does is FUNKY!
🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Going to see them in Detroit at The Fillmore two weeks from tonight. This is the song I'm most excited to hear them perform live. 🎸
@@mier37 I'm seeing them in Scotland in November, and same!
@@radgeheid Awesome. Have fun rocking out!!! (I love Scotland. I'm sure your crowd will be more excited and energetic than the one I'll be stuck with here in the States.)
how the fuck does Nuno and Pat have a full on conversation while playing insane riffs? too talented
They aren't human
Because they’ve been these riffs for the last twenty years. It’s like walking for them now
@@woodzie06 and what is he is not human? Is he reptilian?
It just boggles my mind... Just totally shredding and chatting !! 😳🤯🎸🥁🎤🎶
They’re in pantheon of musical gods. Whaddya think…
possibly one of the most overlooked rock bands ever
Yy?
Possibly? possibly water gets wet. Sure 100% ;)
Not by this guy!! One of my favs. But youre right. Another overlooked band is Saigon Kick. Very diverse like Extreme.
And Spock's beard too... 🤣
I was thinking that this morning while I was listening to flight of the wounded bumblebee and He/Man woman hater!!🤘
what a fucking phenomenal performance. I was clapping after it ended. Unbelievably amazing musicians all around and entertainers. Incredible !!!
hahaha mee toooo
+Incessant Wake One of the best live groups I've ever seen.
what a performance. this is like probably the most criminally underrated band
I think that Extreme got eclipsed by the Grunge movement and then forgotten. Too bad, because they are really phenomenal.
That moment when the bassist tuned Nuno's guitar killed me :D
His name is Pat Badger
Super talented band......making great music. Damn these guys are good.
Wolverine kicking ass on the kit!! These guys are even better than 20 years ago. HOLY CRAP!!
This title should be "The crowd's DEAD" What's wrong with them??
Probably too much Boston Ale
they didnt understand this great music xD
Fucktards!
Because
🤣🤣🤣
I dont think this audience really understands how difficult and great music they are attending to. Nuno is a great guitar player. And Pat keeps up with him dubbing in the bass thru some hard rythms.
Yes that song is amazing and very hard to match all the rhythm changes and they did it great.
I'm with you people. Jeez, " some people (as FZ once said )wouldn't know good music if it came up and bit them on the ass"
Well they are extreme, what we can say about that 😅
@@bigmike9527 haha
@@DeSantiagoDavid gay wadd
Pat - what an amazing bass player!!!
Only Paul Geary missing from the classicc line-up, but Kevin is more than brilliant.
Pat Badger is one seriously kick ass bassist!!!!!!! I can't even believe how good he is. With GREAT back round vocals to top it off! Man would I love to have him in my band. Great bass players who can also sing really well are worth their weight in gold in my opinion.
FZ Wouldn't have hired Nuno bc Nuno Is too much better than Frank ever was.
He's probably great but, he's playing for Nuno.
Nuno's flying all over the harmonies and riffs.
I don't even hear the bass. Don't need too. Nuno does everything
Nuno is one of the best guitarists of our age. So overlooked.
I have discovered Extreme only few days ago but man have I got hooked to this music.
Not only is Nuno on a great solo guitarist but his timing and rhythmic playing is flawless!
III sides to every story .Played the hell outta that CD!!
Haha me too... Memorised the lyrics of almost all the songs in that album
Nuno possesses the swing and percussion that Eddie Van Halen had unbelievable!!! Great band
Remember Patrick is kickin the shit of of that bass also........
He's a frickin' BEAST!
With pick too, to me its easy to cover this song with finger. But with pick its different story
This band IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!SUPER DUPER AWESOME ESPECIALLY THE GUITARIST 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I just found out I was looking at the song that they played More Than Words and I saw that years ago I didn't realize what they were all about especially Nuno God he's gorgeous
Nunos playing is even more impressive when you see the setup he uses. One of the most basic setups out there. Good amps and a couple pedals... thats it
Yup Patrick's always been one, "Badass," bassist, he is one of the most underrated musicians, and vocalists of all time! He is truly a rare talent!!!
I am in AWE of how good they are live. This song is hard enough to play anyway, and to do it in front of an audience without missing a beat -- Nuno looks so comfortable while playing things that are very difficult to pull off (or hammer on, etc... for that matter).
I am all alone in my office and I gave them a Standing Ovation. Gawd damn that was good.
Pat and Nuno are brilliant on guitar and they harmonize totally together and Gary is my Rockpoet! ;-)
Love the way Pat Badger keeps up with Nuno! Amazing Amazing musicians !! Kick ass verso of this banger!❤🤟🤟
To play this great live is uncanny. Nuno and Pat are f'n phenomenal. Possibly the most underrated band of my lifetime.
Damn,l ❤ watching Nuno play, Gary's animated singing and of course the band 🔥
Love watching them for the same reason 🫦! 6:58
What is one song you don’t want to hear at a wedding
I like Mangini. he's one of the best out there. but this new drummer (sorry I don't know his name) really has grooves that suit extreme very well.
Oak Adthapol N. Absolutely. I was on the Mangini side when he joined but after watching the Drum solo from Luna Park I changed my mind.
Drummer is kFigg. Kevin Figueiredo
Mangini was the Kfigg drum teacher
3:49 best riff work ever
Yessssss
👍👍👍👍👍
Wolverine on drums
I saw these guys at Massey Hall in Toronto during this tour. They brought out a horn section dressed like Miami Vice characters for this tune. It was unbelievable. What an amazing band. 💯🤘🤙🙌
Nuno is one great guitar player.
Extreme...
Great power funk drumming and perfect timing from all the boys!
Love Exstreme wish they,d tour England again.
Where's the horns in this? We saw them perform this at the Orpheum in Boston in the early 90s and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones guest appeared during this song and did the horn section - it was flippin' amazing!!

Unbelievable musicianship !!! Drummers a machine !!! " F " YEAH !!!
Nuno's guitar playing has and always will be f-f-f-funk-a-licious.
They are sooo unique!!! This music. … one of a kind!! Just them 🤟
Absolutely LOVE that band!!!
So, watched this video many times, and just came across it again today in a playlist… I am just now noticing (intentional or not) the drummer‘s tribute to Don Brewer from Grand Funk!Same hair, same pork chops, same red sparkle drum set… I don’t think it’s an accident
This is the greatest song by The Extreme band, which I love terribly and play the guitar a lot, I like it very much, Thank you Extreme band!!!!!
Whoever that new drummer is...I'm damn impressed! He damn near NAILED Paul Geary's original drumbeat to this. While he added a bit of his own flair to it, he did it in a way that complimented the original. Damn good!!!
BASS player is amazing...
And sings very well too!
damn, they killed it to the extreme! 10/10
this arrangement is insane - what a band, what a showcase of true musicianship...
Bloody hell, you see the live version and you realise Nuno plays as good as the record. Fek sake!
one of the best rock songs ever created and performed
What can I say that hasnt been said about this bands' skills? Havent ever been a huge extreme fan. But I understand what talent looks and sounds like. These boys have it in spades!
5:40 wtf... is the bassplayer really tuning nuno's guitar? i didnt get it.. anyways THE GUYS REALLY ROCK! nice performance!
Nuno is a rhythm guitar god. Always coming up with catchy tunes.
I didn't know a lot about Extreme. But I'm being into them here. Nuno is breathtaking!
Songs Way ahead of its time
They ARE monsters!
The crowd is deaf though..
The whole band is terribly underrated but particular Pat Badger the bass player.
Bravooooooooo
What a masterpiece!
Such a great band and song!
Did enybody mentiomed Badgers non egoistic fanatastic work bit more?
The crowd is not dead they r hypnotize by their performance
ヌーノ上手いし格好いい~❗
この曲難しいのにサラッとやっちゃうトコ(>
That feel when you're already at max volume and can't turn it up any louder
REAL MUSICIANS !!!!!!!!!
A brilliant song performed by a super wicked band...Should see on 5.41 funny stage act when the bass player tryin to tune Nuno's guitar...
Pat Badger is a freaking beast!
Nuno number one
Отличный Плотный саунд !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Can still remember seeing them in the eighties at the living Room in Providence Rhode Island what a solid fukn band
Nuno's solo 0:47~6:58
Such a fabulous guitar song!
BEST RHYTHM GUITAR OF ALL TIME
Some top notch drumwork!
Fig is great. I had the pleasure of playing with him for a few years and he was awesome.
Great band !!! great song !!!
Who knew Wolverine was such an amazing drummer!
Extreme rare: one guitar, bass, basic drum kit and a singer can make them sound awesome...only a few like this.
This band is so good. Gary is a great singer and frontman. Nuno is God, and Pat keeps up with him while singing as well. The drummer is the engine that moves them all forward.
They even make a phrase from a Jesus Christ Superstar tune ("what's the buzz? tell me what's a happenin') work in there! Great band!
Such a great band
Proper Musicians playing proper music!!!!!!!!
Dayum! I knew nuno was a beast, but that bass player more than kept up
How can they play live like that.
so ...underrated !
Pat is one helluva bass player for keeping up with Nuno
FUCKIN RIGHT!!! These boys belong on the big stage..glad they worked the differences out. EXTREME!!! thats the right name for this band...Cuz this is EXTREME funk rock bad ass shit,,,YEA!!
Nuno is still the best to me.
nuno one for all the best. 2019
holy shit, nuno is 43 years old here, look how he is in shape, must be doing some mean workouts
The live version is even better hahah!
Im always James Brown'ing alone to that instrumental section groove.

Extreme are underrated, nuno is one of the best, patrick is ace to, ppl need to realise that, hope they keep rockin' !
underrated? Dont talking shit, man.
We were there for the taping, one of the greatest nights of my life. Im the fuzzy blond bopping in the front right second row.
Cupid's dead , Heavy Version !! *-* , Brutal Guitar Sound!!
The crowd looks dead because that's how you look in presence of some shocking master piece and perfect musicians
3:47 Best funk breakdown ever.
After this I can only say I want more.
Perfect! Best! Amazing!
