If there was any justice in the world, III Sides To Every Story would be widely regarded as one of the classic albums of all time. This album should have propelled Extreme into the stratosphere, and the fact it didn't just shows what a state popular music has become in the last 20 or so years. But for me, this album showed Extreme at the very peak of the powers, unleashing a classic album onto the world, that sadly wasn't recognised at the time for it's greatness like it should have been. :(
+Angelic Storm I agree. That album embodied the times, and the essence of a generation. The skill, talent and compassion that composed every song on the album is exceptional! For me it's an all time favorite.
+Angelic Storm Agree. It was just so amazing. From the 'heavy' beginning of the record to the orchestra laden ending -- it was just so fantastic on every level. Rhythm section, vocals, harmonies, and Nuno's amazing guitar work -- all in top form.
+Angelic Storm Their best album I agree! We have to look at Extreme, though, because they never got the respect or following they deserved to have. They had one huge hit in "More Than Words" and then they followed that album up with this absolute masterpiece and it sunk into the bargain section. I don't think people knew how much irony and also full out truth there is in the lyrics, how Nuno's playing is unique and not copying anyone, how the harmonies were inspired by Queen with a lead voice inspired by soul. They came and were not here long enough. Music went terrible in the last 20 years and there are a lot of things to blame. It was gonna come. The end was gonna happen and the ceiling was gonna cave in eventually, but that is horrible and not anything I like to dwell upon. I want to find some musicians who can help me record my ideas. I remember this video. Extreme is one of the best bands always and forever. The talent in these four gentlemen is insane. I am so thankful they are back. Real music by great musicians.
My dad used to listen to this a lot when I was young and I didn’t appreciate it at all. It’s so good. Fuck man. Hate finding out how big of a turd I was.
This song is a masterpiece, so damn good and brilliant, comparable to some of the most iconic Queen songs but with a different flavor. I had the pleasure of seeing them live this year, and their performance was outstanding. Much love to Extreme!
Самая любимая, лучшая группа всех времен и народов. Плевать, на тех кто недооценил их талант. Нуно - виртуоз, Гэри - луженая глотка. Это музыка моего детства, навсегда в моем сердце!!!!!
Them and King's X - one of the most influential bands in rock; they created Grunge (King's X) and still haven't been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - but Janet Jackson got in this year. Screw the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - just enjoy the music and stay loyal to the bands that are loyal to the fans (unlike the RRHOF).
Nuno's mastery of the guitar is just crazy amazing, through the entire song it sounds like he came up with that entire guitar track and solo right on the spot, truly amazing, every time I play this song I'm awed, his talent is like lighting in a bottle.
Started listening to Extreme at 15. I just listened to all their albums 25 yrs later and I just realized their music had quality compared to most hair bands of the late 80's and early 90's. My 40 yr old ears can certainly hear some influences of Bowie, Queen, Led Zep in their songs. What amazes me more is they've managed to stay together and are still actually creating more songs. That's real talent and true test of character there.😊😊
I did the same thing. And I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. They're still making great music together. I wish I could see them live. The lyrics of their songs are still actual today even more so. For example, Rest in Peace, Peacemaker Die, Warheads, When I'm President

Very well said! Probably my favorite solo by Nuno. The follow up album, 95s Waiting for the Punchline is also so underrated. Not only a great song - But a great song with heart, soul, and meaning. Think how true those words can still ring today. As a long time fan of Chicago ( The Terry Kath Era ) they also wrote music with meaning about love, peace, and caring for the Earth as a whole. They did so in some very rough times of the late 60's and early 70's. This song to me parallels that same spirit in many ways. It kicks ass as a rock song. Great band. Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
Let's talk of peace,
Sounds so cliche
A novelty,
Catch phrase of the day
Middle, index,
Sign of the time
Just as complex,
As water to
Someone said
Give peace a chance
And, that's all that we're saying
While we're sitting
On the fence
Pretending,
Our hearts are in the right place
But, your face
Shows a trace of
Hypocrisy,
Don't tread on me,
Now you can see
Make love not war,
Sounds so absurd, to me
We can't afford
To say these words, lightly
Or else our world
Will truly, rest in peace
Let's not pretend,
To justify
Rather amend,
Where treasures lie
Straight through the heart,
Peace can be found
That's where you start,
Not all around
Someone said
Give peace a chance
And, that's all that we're saying
While we're sitting
On the fence
Pretending,
Our hearts are in the right place
But, your face
Shows a trace of
Hypocrisy,
Don't tread on me, boy
Now you can see

@@PeterZeeke Norman McLaren's 1952 short 'Neighbours'!
Awesome band , also underrated hidden talent
Used to rewind that most awesomest guitar solo part for a thousand time (maybe more) til the cassette snap haha. Yeah most of my friends were into Mr. Big but I was (still am) the odd one out who love Extreme more!
Still dig them in 2023.
This song was every where when I was growing up.
from my elementary school till now i am 42 still love this song very much!
thanks Extreme for fullfill my childhood
Bagaimanapun respon pendengar, Nuno akan tetap menjadi Gitaris favorit saya bersebelahan dengan Paul Gilbert. Diantara banyak yang lainnya, mereka berbeda & berani, lagu yang mereka tulis sangat luar biasa. 🤟
Stay out of my yard though!!! 😆
Great band. "Hole Hearted" - another fabulous song !!!! Extreme - God bless for what U gave to the music world. Peace my brothers. Note: One of the best videos ever !!!
There are so many levels in this song...The band used many influences, Hendricks, VH, and political views, they were way ahead of their time.
I love the 90’s so much. I could have lived there forever.
