Just subscribed. Since I have the original WarCraft III, that info was my trigger to finally buy first two games on GOG. Although I didn't know about the discount code, I do not regret these 50 PLN. I played them already and enjoyed them.
I wish I had that kind of money, but sadly we need other things more so I won't be able to buy them. For the rest of you I wish you the best of time with Warcraft I & II and a Merry Christmas to all!
Really well put together video that ends on a high note and leaves Blizz with something to think about. I already have the bundle over on GOG but it pains me to see them getting delisted regardless. That along with any sliver of hope for original W3+FT, Diablo2&LOD, Starcraft 1 or Blackthorne , Lost Vikings games etc ever released on GOG is now gone too.

The greed of Blizzard knows no bounds. They're mad that GOG has a better option than their remasters and can't handle the shame. I love the old WarCraft games, but the new Blizzard continues to disappoint.
I think this is more about screws being turned and switches for monetization being flipped. Every money faucet must be enabled to start that Return on Investment, and this is the natural ramp-up it would have taken to analyze, hire, and implement 'remasters' for War1/2. For my part, the GoG edition of War2 is superior. However the QoL features already introduced in War1 Remaster make this the better choice for those looking to quickly blast through the gameplay and put it back on the virtual shelf. There's not a lot of reason to stick around with war1 no matter the version, compared to something like War2.
Shame to see games getting pulled and delisted. We're already missing like 87% of old games because they're nowhere to be found to be purchased. Also, I still think you could do a playthrough of the Loria game here on your channel since it's basically Warcraft 2.5. Keep up the good work! I'd like the Warcraft I and II bundle, please.

Thanks for bringing this thing to attention - I was putting off buying the bundle because I've never really experience the classics, but wanted to get around to them in the original form, without modern Blizz's slip ups (looking at you Reforged, even if they're working on you again). So thanks again for the video.
Important thing to note with the GoG Warcraft Orcs & Humans is that you have the option to use General MIDI for your music needs, and thus can choose any number of MIDI devices such as real hardware sound modules like a Yamaha MU2000EX or Roland SC-55 to digital soundfonts like Arachno via VirtualMIDISynth.

They didnt update the older Warcraft 2 at all, they remastered it, big diff, whole new executable and due to that the Battlenet edition still exists alongside it. Even on Battlenet.

I got these two when Gog relaunched it, incase older physical copies wont work. Time to get Diablo 1 next, i dont trust my old CD copy runs well anymore. Disappointing by Blizzard, you dont see Nightdive delisting stuff when their remasters of IP's come out.
Nightdive tried that too and it resulted in quite a big backlash in the case of original Blade runner game (which has been returned back to the store since then). They are owned by Atari and try to get away now and then with the same shenanigans like any other corporation.
GOG is a great spot to have it. I have Diablo there as well. I'm the same as you, still have the CDs but it's convenient to have the GOG launcher while also supporting their preservation efforts. I honestly kind of wish they just hired Nightdive to do these. Their Doom 64, Doom, Doom 2, Quake, and Quake 2 remasters are all truly top notch. I imagine the other work they've done is similar, I just haven't gotten around to testing it all out yet.
Blizzard are like ffuucckkiinngg children: go left, go a bit right, go more left, now back right, no that is bad don't do that, now sit down and listen to why what you just made is very bad, now promise you won't do that again, now god ddaammnn it why did you just do that again, etc.
@@mickcraftgaming Clearly, that's why I said they're like children, but it shouldn't be this way. Factorio, ETS2/ATS, Beamng, POE devs don't have to be kept in check by the masses to do their job. I at my job don't have to be kept in check by the masses, if I don't do my ffuucckkiinngg job I just get fired and that's it. These ffuucckkeerrss get some sort of special pass. Just like children.

I didn't know that about Nightdive. I suppose any studio is prone to executives getting involved that will make business first type decisions.
