Fresh Vanilla servers are always amazing at the start, but as time goes on I have seen similar issues crop up again and again.
Today I want to think about the future a bit and anticipate some issues regarding fresh which are well worth talking about right now.
Let me know your thoughts on fresh and what - if anything - should be top priority for the devs here.

The issue is its still patch 1.12 talents and skills and post nerfed raids and dungeons, so its Vanilla wow at its very worst, when they buffed the least played classes warriors mages and warlocks so much they broke the game in unexpected ways, and nerfed the content so much in an effort to get people to complete it they made it not worth doing at all. They should have picked a patch that represented most of Vanilla wow like patch 0.5-0.8. But Blizzard are far to lazy or simply incapable. What we are planning on is not really Vanilla wow at all just a copy from a private server.
sorry but I don't believe the devs are listening. Only folks they listen to apparently are the High Value Streamers.
PvP being Horde dominated is just a personality thing.
The kind of brain that enjoys PvP just can't really enjoy the pathetic lame lore of "For the Alliance! For the Light! M'Lady".
And the kind of brain that enjoys the Alliance lore just can't wrap their minds around the zug zug.
This is a rule and as with all rules there are exceptions, but it is a rule.
Easy fix for the Black Lotus is the TBC approach of having a few of the top end herbs have X% chance to drop a lotus on top of their standard herb. Keeps the world active too if people are actually roaming around herbing and not just spawn camping the traditional lotus etc.
This worked great in SoD. Black Lotus flasks were still pretty valuable to sell, but they weren't completely unobtainable for casuals.
@@yawanoc Agreed and they are not that easy to get, I tried farming for an hour the herbs and got 0 lotuses, so it keeps economy alive as well.
I strongly agree. I love picking herbs just for the fun of it and the pvp it can inspire, so I'd love it if people had a bit more of an incentive to farm for a jackpot, would make things more active and make people fight a bit more over the semi-rare herbs.
Is this like Arcane Crystals?
This stops Brazilian gold farmers how? 😂 guys sell linen cloth let that sink in
They should definitely make pre-mades have to play against other pre-mades. WSG is unplayable otherwise.
after 4 premades you que up against other premades of 5 to 10 people, thats a good solution
why should you premake a group for MC or BWL or ZG...oh wait that would be Raidfinder
if you want to pvp just make or join a premade, value your time and enjoyment
@@MrCallumDennis why would we have to work in making premades if they can just queue premades with premades and problem solved???
we are 76,000 horde and 76,000 alliance in the pvp aniversary server, would you prefer to put all of us to work, instead a dumb developer to just add this function?
@@MrCallumDennis "If you want to PVP", yeah PVP is a minigame for me not my main gameplay loop. I just want to join a few BG's every weekend and have fun. I'm not having fun when I want to play WSG and myself and another handful of casuals get set up against a serious PVP pre-made on comms.
When casuals stop running BGS, PVP players complain about long wait times or PVP being "dead". When casuals want pre-mades to only go up against pre-mades, so we can enjoy some bgs, we're told to "just make your own pre-made."
Ultimately it doesn't matter to me, I just won't queue WSG. I don't want to hear PVPers complain though about the health of the PVP scene.
This is my mindset. I just won’t do it. The rewards for grinding all the way to rank 14 are outdone by AQ40 anyways so what’s the point. I’ll probably suffer AVs to get Don Julios then never touch pvp again
i would just wish they turn off world buffs, raiding would be much more fun and less stress to get 20 world buffs before each raid...
Some people consider the world buff thing fun, it makes numbers go way bigger than they were ever expected to be and makes monkey brain go crazy
There where no world buff guilds
Doing naxx with out world buffs is just not fun. The rest of the raids doesn't really matter
World buffs are a choice, truly.
Or just click on a statue in a major city or inside the raid entrance. Or fix classes so they don't need them to be fun.
One thing I would love to see change is the fact that the warlock's demon despawn's every time you use a flight path...would be a huge QOL!
and despawn when you spawn in bg GYs and when it doesn't despawn at gys it's at 50% hp. It's one of the reasons i'm not rolling warlock this time. Too much prep time / mana just to get ready
I absolutely hate world buffs, I feel like the game would be a much better experience if they just removed them for raids - it's a cool bonus for leveling, but it's just an annoying chore for raids
So true. And its like I always keep hearing "Just don't use world buffs" which like the cat is already out of the bag, like every other guild is gonna utilize world buffs even if they all collectively agree that it sucks because its too good to pass out, and we don't wanna feel like we're nerfing ourselves by selecting not to use them. And even using them creates this overall meta which just kills the fun of the raid. Like a misstake occurs and the group wipes? Well it happens and now its no longer simply running back, regroup and rebuff before next pull since hours of progress suddenly down the drain. And parses forbid fighting the boss without being top mid maxxed?
They tried removing world buffs and making the raids harder in Season of Mastery. You know what happened? No one played it, because it was awful. World buffs make the raids quicker and easier, and they also get people to leave the major cities to a certain extent. The game is better with world buffs.
@@MicrocosmicExperience It wasn't the lack of world buffs in raid that was the cause of SoM low player engagement. Rather it had more to do with it being released during a bad time. SoM was released back in 2021 in which player activity through out entirety of the game, across all versions were low. SoM launched only couple months after Classic TBC launched, along the the surrounding drama with it (told you so btw). Not to mention the entire lawsuit situation and the fallout from it being fresh on people's mind.
Now a couple years since then, along with the growing nostalgia for original release of classic vanilla back is why we currently seeing this resonance
@@MicrocosmicExperience Its not like World buffs are the only way to possibly increase player power, also SoM was just a boring idea at a bad time
I agree, they are stupid and unnecessary but the tryhards will insist on it just for parses and stuff. It also takes any challenge out of the raid, and vanilla raids are already fairly simple and easy compared to later xpacs. World buffs just shouldn't work in raids. OR if anything, I had an idea where each raid had its own unique major raid buff that works a bit like world buffs where it gives a few generic buffs.... like for MC you get extra stats and stamina, more AP/SP/healing, more crit/hit, bonus mana regen, and some elem resist so for MC it would be fire resist while AQ might be nature resist or something. Just one great buff for each raid, and to get it you gotta do a scenario or fight some miniboss outside the raid (or just inside the instance before the first boss to prevent pvp ganking) with your raid group and when u kill it u can turn in its head to an NPC outside/inside who gives ur whole raid the buff.
It would simplify the whole process, no more running around Azeroth doing all these things to get the world buffs, which are gone if u get killed or wipe. Doesn't have to be huge buffs either, just +AP/SP, +Health mana and mana regen, a specific elem resist, and 3% crit/hit/haste. Getting a bonus to resists, fire for MC, nature or nature/shadow for AQ, frost or frost/nature/shadow for Naxx..... would be awesome and it would mean you can use your regular gear and not have to swap it for certain fights that might need alot of fire or frost resistance to kill XYZ raid boss.
I don't see any reason to put large barriers on dual spec. It's just a quality of life thing. I don't think it makes the game any less challenging other than just wasting players time if they have to go back to rested areas and get summoned back. Give it at level 40 for 50g, easy peasy. Just give people the option to play how they want to play.
That's already a huge barrier. Most people barely get enough gold for a mount. 50g for a dual spec at 40 would really mean dual spec realistically being available around lbl 45 or 50 unless you're actively farming gold
I see dual spec mainly as a crutch to enable healing classes a less terrible time leveling. So make it level 30 and basically free. That way you get something cool in between your usual level 20 stuff and your first mount and you incentivise healing or even tanking.
@@minipaintingforyouThis is the best solution I've read.
No rested area but give it a one hour cooldown to keep people from using it to speed run trash/boss at end game
Yeah I dont get it. Ive seen so much pushback for dual spec and it baffles me. Why anyone would be upset about dual spec is a mystery. Its just a nice QoL feature that would actually make people play more. My guess is the sweaty people like being able to smash people in suboptimal specs. 🤷♂️
level 40, at 50g for dual spec is fine imo..removing world buffs in raid would be a W
I am all for dual specs. But people seriously need to stop thinking it will drastically change anything during leveling. Warriors can tank in any spec pre 60 and healers can put on int gear and heal fine in any spec also.
It has never been a matter of talents. People simply want to dps.
It will make healing and tanking in dungeons easier, yes. But the number of players willing to fill these rolls are not going to change by much.
The biggest upside to dual specs is the possibility to go pvp and farm between raids without having the barrier to respec between each occation.
Not exactly true. If you’re not a resto shaman in SM or higher you aren’t getting into my groups
@ thats just a you problem. A shaman can heal just fine with any spec as long as he/she keeps some int gear in the bags. For endgame its different ofc. But for leveling content? Get a grip,
@@roffe8751 "just a you problem" meanwhile I am watching many shamans get kicked from groups for not being resto LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Dual spec is not for leveling and dungeons, its just for raids/pvp “struggle” to get 100 golds every day.
@@neverstoppulling5169 This attitude is exactly why classic/vanilla shit by blizzard always fails.
I just want faster quest item spawns and faster spawn timers on quest “bosses”.
+ on that. it has been a literal competition over mob tags in almost every zone I’ve been through so far 😭
I think all of them should cap at 1 minute respawn timer. Waiting for mobs is a big part of the classic experience. Basically wasting your time in any way is a big part of the classic experience. But there’s no reason a mob one zone over from a starting area has a 10 minute respawn timer
@@wingsofunlimitedpepsi6817 This is to be expected on fresh servers. It helps if you invite people around you.
I'm guessing I'm the only one struggling with dying to instant mob respawns.
@@nathanbrady8529the harpy’s in thousand needles are ridiculous
Honestly no worldbuffs in raids would have been alot better and practical than chrono no matter how practical or userfriendly...
its too integral to classic at this point. it keeps the economy moving, keeps people logging in, keeps people running attunements.
Consider this: heroic strike and cleave is fun. More heroic strike and more cleave is more fun.
World buffs drive a significant amount of player interaction. Going out getting your songflower, planning ony buff pops, ZG buff, people sorting and selling DM clears, DMF is only really popular because of the buff it gives as well.
@haldir108 Consider this: Getting WBs is not fun even if I quit my job and had infinite time to play why would I want to use that time getting world buffs when I could like play the video game
I really like getting world buffs and playing with them
What I would like is a team of 3-4 GMs per server (totally affordable for Activision) to monitor and mediate the insane amounts of bots on the new servers.
1 is totally enough
Yeah, I’d be happy with 1 per
so you're saying they should spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for a hard to perceive benefit when they can spend zero dollars on it and make nearly as much money?
you do know that bots pay blizzard monthly sub. So theres no shot they wont dedicate staff for it. They might ask Jimmy in the IT to just ban some bots and make a tweet about it.
@@kraywaysnews flash, banning bots still gets then insane sub revenue from bots. They still have to pay for the initial sub, as well as the sub for a new account
Would be cool if there would be an option to "turn off" world buffs for a raid, making it harder but instead the bosses would drop an extra piece of loot or something instead.
Bots and gold selling will wreck the economy, just like it did in SOD and classic.
Yes the third world country’s of the world will never stop selling if we don’t stop buying 😂 it’s called supply and demand and it’s why drugs have not gone away ever and never will! History is bound to repeat it self as it always has 😅
I really hope they reduce the cost of Chronoboon. 10g per made perfect sense when it released in the Naxx patch and everyone had tons of extra gold to spend. It is WAY too costly for a server in the first or second phase. 1g per is the highest price I can justify to myself that early, and honestly it would probably be fine for them to just be dirt cheap like in SoD.
Hard disagree on your view on dual specc. It should just be like in SoD. There is no reason to gatekeep a feature that makes the game better in every aspect.
Go play sod if you want sod. I don't want people to ask for multi spec in raid or pvp. Because make no mistakes it's what will happen
@Pavton your issue is someone may ask for something that you're under no obligation to do? Ok.
There is a reason to gatekeep it. Because when we think about changes to classic here and whether they align within the spirit of game it self. Like if Blizzard added dual spec in 2005, would they have allowed you to change specs on the fly and also obtain it by default? Highly doubt they would and it would have costed quite abit of gold and also only be allowed in major cities or rested areas at the most. Since in Classic this while cause people in even semi-casual min-maxx guilds to now change spec per boss fight basis. Like forget having a healer/tank & damage talent set up, or maybe a PvE & PvP one, nah.
I'm more of a retail player, but I love the comparison you're making to League, because the same problems hold true for retail and classic. How are Blizz so reluctant to adapting basic principles that every other competitive game implements? Better balance, introducing matchmaking or punishments for leaving/griefing would improve the game experience massively. Classic doesn't lose it's identity because of some QoL changes.
Very much in favor of rested zone or trainer exclusive respecs. The problem that dual spec solves is that of different aspects of the game benefiting from different talents (raiding/PVP/questing/farming/dungeon soloing). The difference in friction towards THAT point is negligible, comparing anywhere vs limited spec changes. On the other hand, you most likely will see people push the system as far as it can go. Will people raid as flex healer & DPS, if allowed, with the doubling of consumes that it entails? You bet. Is that a good direction for the game? I doubt it.
Also, as it is now, You have interesting meme hybrid specs that, while never optimal, can actually fulfil two roles in one raid, such as restohance or heart of the wild+NS. If you can just swap spec in the middle of a raid, then that goes away as a concept. (These also suffer from double consume problems, but since they aren't optimal ways to play the game, there's never gonna be as much pressure to do it this way.)
Its funny.. I played horde doing both Vanilla and 2019 classic. Almost always lost as Horde in PVP. What I kinda concluded is that it doesnt matter what faction you're on, but it matters whether you do premades or not.
TBC is nice because instead of world buffs, we get heroism. And instead of 50 consumes, we get just 1 battle and 1 guardian.
I feel weird changing vanilla, but really think TBC just figured all this stuff out.

@@kohlerk30 Yeah for sure. I have noticed more ads from RUclips itself over the past month so we are doomed to suffer 🙃
Install sponsorblock, auto skips ads if 1 person with the extension has marked them
Doing AV has nothing to do with winning, its quickest way to get your honour cap for the week, getting 3 tokens from a win gives a few hundred honour, its not even worth talking about.
Maybe changing the items for the AQ War Effort?
This way, the server can't stock pile 3 million items because they would have no clue what's required for the War Effort
I WAS expecting this in original classic
That one is Huge i renember the debate in 2020
They'll do it like SOD where if you want scarab lord you can do the war effort things but if not it won't matter and the gates will open for everyone on a certain day.
Agree 1000%
I think it would be cool for dual spec if they made it a class quest line that you have to do that takes you through several dungeons to complete... or to areas they didn't do much with in the past... maybe still need a gold requirement too... it's a lit of work to do that so I kind of doubt Blizz will go this route.
As far as the black lotus change in 2019 classic, the change was a variable timer put in on the respawn instead of the exact 60 minute timer, along with adding more spawns. The "more spawns" part was just more spawn points of each "clump" that could possibly spawn. It was not more than one in up in a zone at a time though. It still is like this on Era to this day. So this is going to be even worse than noted in the vid. Love ya WIllie
The best thing they can do is not listen to the sweats on absolutely anything. They learned this with Retail recently and people came back. Sweats ruin every aspect of the game and push people out in hordes.
Sorry I'm out of touch with retail, what do you mean by sweats?
Truth
@@ILoveMyMalinoispeople whom let WoW consume them. It’s an addiction for them, not a game. Ya know people who are getting optimal comp etc for Molten Core….and it only gets worse from there. The people who were checking logs for BFD in SOD (A lvl 25 dungeon)
I started playing era as a newbie in August after getting bored of osrs. Holy shit, some of the people you meet in this game are so fucking aggressive over things. I get that some things need to be said firmly, one guy in a SM cath I did left pet on aggressive, but tearing into him calling names and telling them to 'stop talking' and asking for lead to kick him is just really strange.
@@sbp___9865Well i wouldnt be rude to you BUT u can’t have your pet on agressive i dungeons.
Its not even min/maxing its just not good.
They can fix the pvp battlegrounds problem, just let hord and alliance have mixed groups like they did on TBC classic, I think they called it the mercenary mechanic, where if you are queuing as horde, you could be entered into an alliance team as a mercenary, you wore a mask of like a dwarf or human, was pretty funny, and changed things up regarding orcs having to face off against orcs and experiencing that stun resist for themselves
this would not work in classic due to the faction specific class mechanics of shaman and paladin
Dual spec is available right now for 50g on the anniversary realm. Haven't bought it yet so don't know more details
I think dual spec is something we should have always had. It just makes it to where there are more tanks and healers available and dps can cover more niches.
in my 2019/2020 classic run, i never saw a black lotus, even with some mild intentional camping/searching. in my 2023/24 classic run, i only ever saw and picked 2 black lotus. one in Winterspring with a horde watching it, who was mounted and apparently AFK, so i just took it. i don't remember if i got the other in Silithus or in EPL....
Should they make black lotus also be a very rare random extra like the fel lotus in tbc?
Dual spec was added just a few hours after you put out this video. It's level 40 for 50g
I dont know when it came into effect but as long as i remember the classic era servers have never had a cooldown on Nef head dropping. Only for Ony.
Really find it wild the number of times I've heard I never found a lotus. I think I had found over 100 in the 2019 re-release. This said, I was 5th 60 on Atiesh as a preist, so the competition for the first two weeks was approaching zero. Not trying to claim this isn't going to be a problem. It clearly was then a couple of months in, because of the botting, even though I hated the outcome from a personal standpoint, I just think the fix of "More spawns" is not enough the "can't see it while dead" is also not enough. Are we suggesting go the Fel Lotus direction (I think this was suggested in a previous video), feel like this has negative consequences in another direction unless it's something like 1/50 nodes or something has one.
with sod dual spec was enabled in the end of gnomers phase after a mount cost reduction (I wonder why 100 gold at level 40 is completely unreasonable?) and then dual spec essentially made up for that cost.
4:35 nope fk that, people will just abuse it with multiple accounts or summon bots to be able to quickly change and then get summoned back, make it 1 to 1 with sod to avoid that.
8:08 anyone who doesn't want anyone can drop head whenever or get DMF whenever, opinion, irrelevant, fullstop.
9:23 this should've been done already it's super annoying to have 42 minutes left and here's a new buff but spend 40 silver to refresh it and store it again.
11:00 One thing nobody is talking about is for the poor, POOR Feral druids, pummeler, infinite, or a way to gain an infinite pummeler, this unlike anything else doesn't fundamentally change anything about the game, it just wastes less time for one spec.
As s tank, world buffs are more a curse than a blessing. There's been a few items i've died towards the end of a boss fight or been Brezed to finish it out. I lose my WBs for the rest of the raid but others reboon for the next bosses, and it becomes even harder to build/maintain a threat lead.
8:30 I'm sure that wasn't intended, but they devs knew about players mind controlling/enchanting mobs, that was a big thing in Everquest. So they probably did know you could get around it.
The big problem with duel spec is that they probably take longer to fix gear for players main builds. Everyone will take "need" buttom on good items like rare/epic in dungeons, and say, this should be on my farm spec, or my dps spec, or pvp specc or my duel spec? This really express in wow classic they will not work! They work in wrath because they drop significantly more good things there, and they could create good things beside dungons and farm heroic 5mans for tookens. In wow classic there is very few ways to get good bis gear. We will see how this goes! Maybe blizzard increase the dropprate for dungons? who knows?
Exactly this is an issue which would call for further changes to fix those first introduced issues to begin with. Then issues in other areas of the game will come from that and we just continuously put band-aid on everything
I expect the dual spec will be introduced to players at level 40, for 50 gold. Makes sense that Blizzard would like to make healing and Tanking specs more common at lower levels. They could implement it at even lower level, 20 or 30. 50G however makes sense to me as that's what a max cost respec costs, but it depends on which level you are.
Of course it's possible it might be introduced as an expensive level 60 perk aimed at the more hardcore raiders so it won't change the game so drastically, but a really big help for raiders.
14:16 The difference between 45 (terrible) and 55 (overpowered) is 10 not 5 there chief.
Shift Right Click on Names in Chat doesn't work for me.
Bugged.
Definitely make respecing with dual spec an "in town" thing
What I want to see is getting experience points for mining that was a great feature and allowed me to level up my Paladin way back in cataclysm
I like the idea of dual spec being available by level 20 or 30 amd being cheap. I feel like it could be great for getting players to try different roles as they level and emcouraging more flexibility in group content. Maybe there is a druid healer who's hots cant quite keep up because the tank is a little undergeared but is mechanically skilled enough to be keeping threat. Maybe another player has a higher direct healing output and they can swap and the healer can swap to balance. I dunno. I just like yhe flexibility it gives players and groups without trivializing the content but siny giving more options earlier on.
Edit: adding next paragraph.
And I think there should be SOME restrictions to prevent abusing of it. Maybe a cool down on using it anywhere but a rested area. And no cool down to use it in a rested area
i agree with what you say about how dual spec takes away from the planning in classic
Dual spec just swapping anytime is what I want. Levelling as resto druid is pain but doing dungeon runs as resto is super fun. It would just make that process so much better.
Switching at a rest area only
You will still have raids kicking dps out to the nearest inn to have enough tanks for different fights
Im only interested in premade BG’s. I find it painful to group with random folks. No battle would be with randoms, but with highly trained soldiers that fight as a unit.
I'm wondering about boss drops in raid personally. Since it's accelerated, will we have 5 tier pieces/ other loot per boss? Maybe more? Otherwise, we won't even get close to full bis before the phase is done
Right, some commentary.
Dual spec restrictions I like, but don't see them happening. People are too attached to their QoL, Classic feel be damned.
Black Lotus, solved by layers and the earlier changes. The original problem was mainly created by Blizzard aggressively delayering the realms in 2019.
Onyxia and Nefarian buff cds: solved by layers. NPC is on cd on your layer? Just layer hop to one where he isn't.
DMF cd only ticks down when you're logged in btw.
Refreshing buffs inside a boon: this would massively impact the gold sink the boons add to the game. With respecing effectively gone from the game this would even further hamper the economy. Also it would mean that if you booned your leftover buffs from the previous raid you could refresh them for free as opposed to someone who didn't have leftovers and has to unboon and reboon every time they pick up new buffs. So basically it would make the buff meta even worse because now you want to have buffs not only for the raid but also enough so you can boon them up when the raid is over.
It's currently impossible to level in STV every layer is packed.
It appears that the Devs on this version have decided to make drops from kills in the open world to produce drops at a much lower rate than they have been in the 2019 classic, SoD or SoM servers. An hour killing Gnolls in Westfall to get the needed Gnoll Paws for a quest is ridiculous. Same can be seen on many other quests. They have tweaked drops to slow progression apparently in the open world.
I dont feel like this is true, you're probably just unlucky? I havent gotten stuck on any quest for any noticable amount of time, 26 alliance
@@Corrupted same. 22 horde
Hey devs, bring a oldscool version of AV with mines and elites and RTV'S same as blacklotus. Even if it's only for 3 weeks or so, we never played that since 2019 would be fun
Battlegrounds issues are solvable, just require some level of code input from Blizz. You could have separated queues for different things; "Enter solo battleground" which just matchmakes you as expected - only able to be queued if you're not in a party/raid, "Enter party battleground" queue which is only able to be queued in a party (2 - 5 people) and has load balancing involved such that parties are maximum 50% of the players in the BG and then "Enter Organised Battleground" which is only able to be queued in a raid that meets the BG's minimum starting reqs (8(?) for WSG, 10(?) for AB and 30(?) for AV - I don't entirely remember the min starting numbers), the raid is matchmade against other raids and no additional people are capable of joining either side, so whatever number you bring is the number it stays and the queue doesn't affect other matches.
hehe the timing of this is funny. Dual spec is already in... 50g at 40. I think its fine to have no real restrictions on it, personally. They do need to fix black lotus tho.
people will be swapping specs in the middle of raid and it will be horrible, calling it right now. dual spec needs to be a return to city kind of thing
Dual Spec coming "At a later date" turns out to have been today.
I just love this channel's passion for wow
"So many people" lol That isn't what I see. On dreamscythe, on both sides, all I see are like a handful of real people and about 100k bots. All walking the same pre structured routes, fighting until they almost die, not waiting at all till their hp/mp regen and fighting new mobs with like 20% hp, taking half a second to accept/turn in the quest and appearing out of nowhere like they teleport. I literally will look around and move and see no one, then soon as I go into a mob area, 3 people min will appear as if I summoned them. It's crazy. I can't even play on the anniversary realms. I had to go back to classic era.
Its kind of funny. Classic/tbc are my favorite.
I'll be missing this one too for life has stated the money shall be needed elsewhere 😂
Ya I dont think you should have to be in a rested area just be able to swap out of combat because if thats the case mid rid will just make portal and summon ppl back its not gunna stop anything
When will blizzard find a way to end the dreaded VC vs DM debate??
As a casual player with full time employment and other stuff going on in my life, I am honestly asking whether I sould even bother to lvlup to 60 or will get rejected by some hardcore jerks due to lack of gear for raid? I am currently lvl 17 and that is my tempo, but i want to play thorrough all the raids. Given the fact that this season will last only 12 motnhs, should i even try or delete my character for good?
top tip from dude in same position.. just play turtle wow!!
They could fix the battleground experience by adding MMR and doing cross faction bgs. You'll only play with people around your skill level. Premades can be made to be unable to que with anyone too far outside of your MMR. Ez fix.
The fact that honor and BGs weren’t available in fresh from the beginning (especially on the PvP server) is a big L in my opinion. I also dislike the whole “only BG at 60” kind of mentality; doing BGs and testing your character as you level combined with the feeling of progression at lower levels is so much fun personally. If they went the Wrath route of somewhat separating the queues for exp/non-exp so twinks weren’t the big baddies I’d be fine with that but even without the queue separation I don’t mind facing twinks even if I lose, not everyone is gonna be twinking. BGs at lower levels should really get some TLC.
As much as I love playing classic WoW... right now it is just a respawn simulator, which makes it absolutely annoying.
Dual spec being a late-game feature kills 90% of why I was so excited to hear about it. I like healing dungeons but on Hardcore i am forced to choose between leveling as a heal spec or risking my party members' lives healing as a dps spec. Just let us do it at 40, for the people who really really want it, we will farm the 50g
Wish granted homie. Blue post stating as of today dual spec available at level 40 for 50g.
there isn't a single dungeon in classic that requires you to be specs heals to output reasonable healing numbers. Just like how tanking talents for warrior make little difference in dungeons, healing talents make little difference. These aren't pre nerf tbc heroics, they're easy classic dungeons
Make Alterac valley great again. Put up barriers so u cant rush the bosses. 2005-2007 AV was great.
Back when the battleground was a battleground lol
Haha god i love wow players, so much for no changes huh? Turns out yall didnt know what you wanted after all
@@misanthropiclusionchronoboon
I mean tbf it won't make AV great again, regardless of what one does. Like expect AV to be largely dead and nobody queing for it since its already in its 1.12 state the most ineffective for Honor per hour. At most it will be a one time thing people do, or to grind rep but the AV of 2005-2007 is gone and honestly theres not much to be done with it. Unless they somehow massively increased the reward from it, but that would just open the door to exploits
Issues:
- Only one PvP server yet it is faction locked (you have to pay for another account to experience both factions). Unlocking both factions also gives the opportunity to the players to balance the queues instead of forcing people to play something. If a horde player gets hours of queues and just wants to PvP, he/she could just roll ally on the same account instead of quitting.
- AV gives too much honor and is the main reason there's no PvP anymore. WSB and AB should give similar honor. Maybe raise HKs' honor too and you'll revive PvP. Or lower honor caps so you don't need to spam AV for your higher ranks.
- Scale honor caps per level so people can rank up while leveling. your rank is hardcapped by your level so you wouldn't get R14 "for free", it'll give a chance to populate lower lvl BGs like the old days.
I find the whole world buff situation really quite annoying, as a old school vanilla player. Yeah, the buffs did exist back then as well, but no one was expecting everyone to do all of that, for every single raid. Maybe on the top level, but honestly - who the f cares about that. (I look at it like people look at billionaires today; over represented super small population)
For me personally on the Anniversary realms (still leveling, mid-30's now), I find it annoying to constantly be reminded of the mechanical 'clock' like nature of it all. Addons telling when certain buffs will reset, everyone flocking back to the cities for the 'drop'. Egh. "Makes the cities feel alive" some will say - I see robots following their mechanical clock.
The most important issue that needs too be addressed is bots. First and foremost it’s the bots. Wsg needs a separate que for premades, and honor should have been turned on from the start.
Yes but when AV first came out, alliance was winning damn near every single one in 5-6 minutes from start, if it hit 7 minutes there would be someone complaining about dead weight, I got my 2 60s to exalted and my 51 warrior to 58 and exalted in the first two weeks of it.
the biggest problem is they cant stop the bots.
Dual spec only in towns completely defeats the point of dual spec. At that point you may as well just go to the trainer.
the purpose of dual spec is so players dont have to dump 100g a week to simply pvp and pve. horrible take
I don't want people spec-swapping mid-raid for "the spec that will perform the best against this particular boss."
If it can be optimized, someone will make a video claiming that it is optimal (even if it isn't) and it will become A Thing That We Do, which will include all the ridiculous nuances of spec-swapping outside of resting areas: a complete set of clothes for that spec, a complete set of consumables for that spec, etc.
Here's a full list of the resistant/immune raid bosses in the multi-boss raids to illustrate how often a sweaty mage will be spec-swapping (this does not include fire-immune or frost-immune trash):
Lucifron: 93 fire resist, 186 shadow resist
Gehennas: 186 fire resist, 93 shadow resist
Baron Geddon: fire immune
Shazzrah: 186 arcane resist, 93 fire resist
Sulfuron Harbinger: 93 fire resist
Golemagg: 186 fire resist
Majordomo Executus: 95 fire resist
Ragnaros: fire immune
Vaelastrasz: fire immune
Firemaw: fire immune
Ebonroc: fire immune
Flamegore: fire immune
Nefarian: fire immune
Viscidus: nature immune
Sapphiron: frost immune
Kelthuzad: 200 frost resist, 100 shadow resist
Please Blizzard, don't give users the option to make raiding worse.
So true, minmaxing and playing for logs kills the joy of the game. Plz disable swapping to often
Absolutely agree. There is no reason to make the game even easier. They should be making raiding harder because of the vast knowledge we now have about everything
I already envision rogues forced to constantly switch between dagger and sword spec depending on the boss. Warriors switching to 2h fury on trash and dw fury on bosses.
That is such a dumb argument. Then dont join tryhard guilds. I have been playing with some casuals back in 2019. Best time ever. We didnt even had flasks most of the time. It was chill and vanilla bosses are easy.
@@vasilije94 By the 2022 Full consumes and world buffs was a norm for casual pug raid from trade chat. Tryhards also request your logs in addition to that.
Funny people complain about trivial stuff. Just give us things we don't want to do anything for it. No world buffs , no premades in battleground ,solo que for everyone. Ban bots and make level boosting violation of e.u.l.a like multiboxing using software .
No world buffs? They tried to do no world buffs in season of mastery. It sucked and nobody played it.
I like world buffs and premades were the only fun part about pvp
Only being able to solo queue in a MMO is crazy. It’s a social game with a community, but we can’t play it with our friends or the community?
@@chessiecat7860 SoM came out way too soon and around the time TBC was coming, SoM is not a good argument.
@@chessiecat7860 Mentioning SoM when it was just vanilla but slightly harder after everyone already played Vanilla for over a year is crazy. TBC was always going to kill it, most of the people who played Classic were ready to move on to new content, not essentially the same thing for another year. I also remember quite a large amount of people being willing to try it if the changes were good, plenty of them liked no world buffs, but there wasn’t meaningful changes after that to make it more appealing.
there are over 8 layers on the new pve server. Layers will help with black lotus, but it might still need a lil help.
always nice to see someone who's channel isn't about league misinterpret statistics in league. Winrates are NEVER an indicator of how good something is, but I understand the sentiment regarding premades here
@@mogullll I mean, winrates do show a lot of when something is wrong. Horde winning 90% of WSG or alliance winning 90% of AV is proof of that. Broken racials or map imbalance
Basically, implement all we had in SoD on classic fresh 😂
what, including all of the horrible class changes? also including the horrible increase in node spawns so herbs and mats are worthless? sod was horrible
What is jewel spec?
DualSpec should be already in, there is not a single negativ to it.
it's in. 50g, level 40+
@@blackyvertigomy bad only lvl 33 here sorry.
But still would be nice for some classes with lvl 20.
Thanks for the information
every noob rolling on gear for every spec.................
Tons of negatives, wait till everything on the auction house is inflated 10x endgame and no one can afford consumes who are not sweaty . There will be 10s of thousands of gold left to go into the system daily come phase 2 with nowhere else to go but the auction house and inflated service costs from the wealthy folk who have all the patterns. Normal people and casuals will get priced out and with how inflated the ecosystem will get due to being a fragile system already ,its gunna get real bad in a hurry phase 2 onward and tons of the player base will quit as they wont have time to use all their play time fighting to farm at the popular spots to make an attempt at getting raid mats just to fail or get ganked because they cant afford to buy them on the AH on raid night . People dont understand economics or how much gold gets removed from the game from respec costs daily at 60, with gdkp banned so much golds gunna be in the market now. Gunna be a shit show.
@@CardCityCollectiblescry more pussy.
imo if you choose horde and want to PvP the queues are the price of your broken racials. take the 2hr queue for AV or advocate for faction balancing
Premades in PvP is an issue in all Wow expansions. But even more so in retail where its a 99% win rate for the premade team.
Number 6 suscription
Blizzard isn’t going to consider any of this. Roll the credits Michael
I disagree with dual spec being max level. There is no reason not to give it early, it just makes the game more fun. The price id say should be around 20-50g, at level 20. Alts should have access to this or people who are leveling slower. Dual spec just makes the game more fun and is the sole reason I decided to play again on nov 21 st. If not dual spec, I wouldn't have played. Agreed on world buff changes, agreed on pvp changes (especially, xross faction)
we should get duel spec asap and free, and able to swap at any rested
Hi Will!
I love wow pvp but it’s insane how little there is for normal players. Only rewards are exalted and insane honor grinds. Also the rewards barely change through the phases. PvP needs rewards like playing dungeons and new raid. The key issue is that a casual player can run a dungeon or raid once or twice a week and progress there chapter. PvP works by grinding till you die. After the grind let’s say wsg you have no reason to go back. And if you are crazy enough for rank 14 zero reward after. PvP needs monthly gear drops that players can actually get to progress with. Not all or nothing gear rewards
Prot paladins should get a taunt this time around since dual spec is in the game. I would ask for crusader strike be added for paladin but that's a bit too much
Sweaty alliance on ally-dominated Incendius did indeed kill Thrall to secure a predetermined WCB drop time.
Nr1 missing for me is "add a damn barber shop already" xD
really hoping for some sort of limit on dual spec, classic wow simply functions differently than wotlk or sod.
adding a 1hr CD or always being able to swap in rested zones would be perfect while still keeping dual spec in the game.
If not players will optimize the fun out of raids, & same for the open world. Everyone will be forced into playing a PvP spec or they are at a disadvantage
World buffs are the sole reason I stopped raiding in Classic. They add another part time job on top of the part time job of farming consumes.
Bg queues the biggest issue for me at least . Thinking I should have just rolled ally. Prefer to play and lose that waiting in a queue
@@joel-kv7ng it's not always greener on the other side. Alliance getting instant queues and losing is still less honor per hour than 2 wins an hour.
@ for sure might not be the most efficient But for me id still rather play more games and be losing than be sat in a city waiting.
The win rate readings aren't correct. It is wins/games, not wins/losses. The percentage is correct, but for AB as an example you had 21 wins out of 69 games, or 21 wins to 48 losses.
Yeah flasks requiring extremely rare ingredients was a terrible design I hope they also eliminate the 24-hour cooldown on arcanite
Dual spec came out today. Level 40, 50g, switch anywhere.
Even in the middle of a dungeon/raid?
That sucks... It would be good when the community was still friendly and fun but right now?
Cannot wait for all the ninjas... 😑
Why have they released classic for like a 3rd time? We already have classic cata and SoD, so how is this different?
I'm not coming back for this fresh release I expect alot of others won't either 😅
Checking your severs discord for rend buff drop times and logging in at work was the real Vanilla raid.
Yeah, glad sod took the initiative to make it where you can buy boons for the whole raid.
I spent more time getting boons back if we had an accidental death then we spent doing content lmao.
1 hour bwl since week two
Discord didnt exist back then.
