I never knew storm chasing could be such a fun outing. Most of us Canadians want to go indoors when there is a storm. There is something peaceful about rain hitting the roof of the building when I am inside it. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful video. Love everything - the visuals, storytelling, music. So peaceful - probably took my blood pressure down a few notches. Thank you for sharing.
I am heading to Van Island in May 2024 (ticket booked). I really want to go to Tofino, but I realized it is not worth travelling all the way there from Victoria. The drive is 4.5 hours. Then, the next day, it is another 3.5-hour drive to Campbell River. I don't want to travel that much, so I decided that I want to head up to Campbell River from Victoria. I'd like to stop off in Parksville and Qualicum Beach to get some decent photos. Those towns are lovely. My cousin is a fishing guide in C.R., so I hope to get on the boat to catch some fish and to see whales and bears. I saw a video of your s. You went to Campbell River to get on a boat and see some bears. Thanks for your videos. This is the second time I have watched your video of storm watching in Tofino
i've been dreaming of Tofino stormwatching for a few years now and just came across this utterly perfect visual story. as others have remarked - beautiful music right in step with the picturesque natural landscape accompanied by spare narration. you did a beautiful job of describing the important features of the journey, and i want to recreate & experience every step of it. as a daughter of the Arizona desert (transplanted to California), i grew up madly obsessed with the electrical monsoon storms. even though i visit often, i've only recently caught a banger of a storm and know there aren't guarantees for mother nature and her many moods particularly weather! LOL i'd be enraptured with just rain & waves. i've just this moment decided i will plan a trip for January 2024. thank you again for this delightful guide.
@@DaphneXplores thank you. it's a long ways out, but i'm on it. i just booked your same studio right now for mid-January 2024. LOL not a stalker but Ocean Village checks all my travel- related boxes. got something to look forward to! fates be nice, please 😹
Daphne thanks. This is some thing that I could easily do. I’ve done this in Oregon and it’s somewhat similar but there’s nothing like British Columbia for some reason I just love British Columbia but I also like Canada quite a bit as well. I am an American thank you for this posting it’s really quite lovely. God bless British Columbia.
This video is amazing! I watched it few times now. I love rain and ocean and would love being solely with them! You just did that and I was able to connect through your video. Hope to do what you did one day :) ... Keep making videos. You have a very simple and natural way of expressing your experience. Thank you for this video.
Great video. Loved the balance of music and diegetic sounds, plus the composition of shots and the minimal use of subtitles during the travel montage sections. Your interpretation of 'slower' travel videos is very relaxing to watch👍
Thank you for posting this video. It was great to see your experience of Tofino. My partner & I will be visiting later in the week, we’re very much looking forward to it. PS: Shout-out to you for travelling solo!
absolutely stunning !!! your video captures one of my favourite of all your adventures. i hope to make this trip some day. zen billings in the niagara falls region. PS. you are becoming an acceptional videographer !
Omgosh what a beautiful presentation of your travels to Tofino.🌊 So nice to provide how to get there!🚌🚢 The scenery is breathtaking.🌅🌄 The cabins are beautiful.🏠 The food looks so delicious.🍴 The dogs are so adorable...so adorable!💓🐕The music was perfect.🎵 Thank you for filming this beautiful adventure.🌎 I cannot believe you'd forget your rainboots, lol! 👢 Thank you so much Daphne Xplores. This was a real treat to watch.😊 Happy trails to you! 🌺🍁🗻🦅⛺
What a beautiful video! I wanted to see more videos of how Tofino is like in the rain, and it looks hauntingly beautiful. And great job with the editing and the shots you took. Very well done! I honestly think you should have more views and subscribers. You have gained a new subscriber here! :)
HI THERE! this is wonderfully done video and i cant believe more people havent watched it! - i will be going there for later this spring and will for sure book for mid-winter after watching this! Thank you for your efforts!
Why am I so hungry after watching this video? hahaha. Tacofino should pay you for your advertising skills. Looked like a great adventure, thanks for sharing!
In mid-May of 2017, my ex and I spent five nights camping at the Bella Pacifica campgrounds just up the beach from where you stayed. We had a beachfront campsite...five paces and you're on the beach! MacKenzie Beach is a very picturesque beach. One day, we drove five minutes down the road to Long Beach. Not as picturesque as MacKenzie Beach but amazing in the expansiveness of it. On our way back from a walk to one end of Long Beach, I pointed out to my ex that there was no one else on the beach, just us....and that black bear over there. Fortunately, he was heading the other direction and wasn't interested in our beer and Hawkins cheesies. Also, we were fortunate that, at that time of year (mid-May), the owner of Stubbs Island, Mrs. Bloom, allows tourists to travel from the port in Tofino to her island. If I remember, correctly, it was free to hop on one of the shuttle boats (running every 15 minutes) and be able to view her amazing rhododendron gardens and walk around the island.
Best travel video I have seen. Not too pretentious, nice music, simple narritave.
Haha thank you Lynn!
@@DaphneXplores You're welcome. I travel extensively for work but don't have time to vlog so I occasionally watch vlogs to see what others are doing.
I want this for my solo Christmas this year. ❤ Awesome video. New sub.
I'm new to BC, so I'm excited to watch more videos for solo travel inspo.

The sad part of BC it is so beautiful but the weather is so bad...Gets pretty depressing imo.
Can you make a video about crows??? I want to know where they sleep!!!
