Still stand by the opinion that as someone who watched Disney Afternoon you HAVE to check out the Ducktales reboot. It's absolutely fantastic and doesn't get nearly the amount of attention or credit it deserves. For sure the best thing Disney is putting out right now, cartoon-wise.
That Ducktales Reboot Is So Good, Great Even Actually This May Be Controversial But In My Opinion The Ducktales Reboot Is Better Then The Original *Hides In Nuclear Bunker* Yeah I Said It What You Going To Do....Please Don't Hurt Me
I have five reasons to recommend the Ducktales reboot. 1) Webby is Mabel from Gravity Falls. 2) The triplets are actually unique characters you can differentiate between. 3) There's an ongoing mystery in the first season that solves a question we all had about the show but never thought to ask. 4) Gummi Bears, Talespin, and Darkwing Duck all exist in one way or another in the show's universe. 5) The first season finale does something so unexpected with Donald that it is hilarious. edit: bonus reason, Lin Manuel Miranda as Gizmoduck
agreed..i actually think quack pack is a better series for adults and teens then say bland og or new ducktales….its got good messages at times certain eps are better than others great comedy timing jokes dialogue interactions energy and great animation....but thats just me ...i'm not sure why doug hated it so much...I agree the first few episodes are bad but it got good and maybe he just stopped too early?....like the alien episode the haunted house one the one about the cave hermit and others were really well written I thought.....they can get really deep...you just have to move past the attitude adjustment and remind yourself its the 90's...@@leutianleyva5116
From what I have seen of the Duck Tales reboot, it's a quality show with plenty of great moments and great use of characters, so I definitely recommend it. (8:47)
I myself really recommend watching the Ducktales reboot, its amazing, i once sat down and watched the Premiere and i couldn't get enough after, even Ranger Bravo recently got into watching it
Same. Best I could think of before he pointed it out was Dora Winifred Read, or as most call her in the show unless she's in real big trouble, D.W. from Arthur
The duck tales reboot is awesome. They even bring in some of the other Disney afternoon shows in as tie ins. Don carnage ambushed them with his air pirates, darkwing duck is a show that launchpad is obsessed with (funny considering he was in that show to), and gummies bears were even an ancient civilization that lead a major plot line it one episode. There is even a funny connection to mlp by having tara strong and Andrea Libman voice them (kelpie are water horses)
As to why they did Mickey in a carrier thing on Bonkers Disney is very protective of Mickey Like unreasonably so They do not want him in things that could fail He was supposed to be the player character in Kingdom Hearts But then Disney made Square Enix create Sora and have him only be shown in shadow in the first game
Also also In the Aladdin segment he mixed in footage from the Hercules crossover from that cartoon they did to tie into the Aladdin and the King of Thieves. Hence the weird outfit Aladdin has in it and why Jafar is alive. Hades pulled his soul from the Underworld.
31:51-32:0032:40-32:46 these bits aren't actually from Aladdin's TV show. They're from a crossover it did with the Hercules cartoon. A cartoon that in no way could be considered canon to its movie because Hades knows about Hercules during the show, but has no ide he's alive in the movie until AFTER Hercules finishes his training.
This is definitely one of his more memorable reviews. Though I disagree with him on the quality of Quack Pack and Mighty Ducks. Those two are actually among my favorite Disney Afternoon shows
The classic Disney Afternoon lineup was a little before my time and I was mostly raised on Cartoon Network shows, but I have watched the first season of Gargoyles. Along with Batman: The Animated Series, that was definitely a standout cartoon during its time.
i've actually gone back to rewatch Bonkers a good few times now thanks to Disney+ cause i was a big fan of the series and, personally: i think it holds up. not sure why Doug had a gun to the show's head in this video just because "iT'S rOgEr RaBbIt~" but i think the idea works for a show and they couldn't just have Roger in the show cause his not a cop. had to mix it up so it's a rough neck cop or a pretty serious one work with a toon. i say give it a watch cause Doug makes it feel like it was the worse of the bunch, which it's not.
Gadget has such a cult following in Russia, fans even want to make a religion around her. Or so I heard. Also, The Mighty Ducks at least had a great theme song.
Ok, you need to see his Ghost Rider and Blues Brothers 2000 reviews. Given your unique position in this compared to other reactors, you'll get a lot more out of them than they could.
I don't remember disney afternoon at all Maybe I was too young. Except for gargoyles apparently. I remember that my mom had it on VHS and I watched it when I was too young to comprehend anything except for a couple characters who, even then, I shipped Nevermind, I've also seen quack pack
I personally really like The Mighty Ducks cartoon. Also, I'm embarrassed it isn't til now I got the D.W. being interesting to Critic because of Doug Walker's name. Best I thought of was Dora Winifred Read, or as everyone in the show calls her unless she's in big trouble, D.W. from Arthur
Actually the mighty ducks wasn’t as bad as Doug says. Yes it is incredibly 90s dated, but it was so funny. And yes the story rarely changed, but it was good with having a side plot for each episode, while sticking with the same plot. Plus it had an amazing cast. It was a decent show. I would suggest you find a copy of it somewhere, and give it a chance. It’s worth a watch. And I don’t lie.
I disagree with people on the Nostalgia critic going down after it came back. I think Doug was still very passionate and this review remains one of the funniest he ever did as the critic. However I think as time has gone on he's gotten more jaded and cynical. He seems to have lost that core respect for his audiences opinions to the point where he has openly taking pot shots in his critic reviews at those who disagree with him this year. I've made the decision that I won't watch anymore new nostalgia critic reviews, but I'll just rewatch the old ones.
No NC is bad. No I'm not kidding his sailor moon review proves it. That and he also did something fucked up. God damnit who keeps recommending him to raritydash stop doing it! Your making a huge mistake! 😱😠
Aww, Doug's mother. This was her last appearance in NC before she passed away...still hurts a bit
She's gone?
@@EssexAggiegrad2011 Yeah happened back in late 2016
Oh that's sad
Rest In Peace

They have the complete series of The Gummi Bears at the Walmart I work.

@Verserer Gred same?
I have way more an issue with you capitalizing every single word than your "hot take"
I look to both shows for different things.

I'd actually suggest the Ducktales 2017 reboot, it's real good, imo.
no it is not at all good
@@leutianleyva5116 A lot of people think otherwise.
Haven't seen it yet, but it looks pretty awesome.
It indeed is good

They actually repurposed that Don Karnage guy from Talespin for the Ducktales reboot!
Though, sadly, without the accent
And countless others from The Disney Afternoon!
I've heard the DuckTales reboot is really good, and it seems to be from what I've seen.
ADVENTURE PLANET PICTURES
It even has don karnage
It's okay, but may not be for me. Also, saw Don Karnage in an episode, his voice is the same in my country, but apparently different in English.
Even Darkwing Duck appear with Jim Cummings too
Watch Ducktales reboot! It's awesome!!
I myself really recommend watching the Ducktales reboot, its amazing, i once sat down and watched the Premiere and i couldn't get enough after, even Ranger Bravo recently got into watching it
I never thought of the "DW = Doug Walker" punchline until you pointed it out. XD

I like it too, though I am hoping for a reboot of Rescue Rangers sometime in the near future.
Gargoyles is still one of my favorites Disney shows I ever watch. The theme song aways gave me chills everytime I watch.
As to why they did Mickey in a carrier thing on Bonkers
Disney is very protective of Mickey
Like unreasonably so

... DuckTales 2017
Gargoyles had the lesbian cop proving that it wasn't taboo in the 90's. It worked because apart from one episode they didn't mention it at all.

I'm with you there on Mighty Ducks, It was fun
After what they revealed at SDCC, the Ducktales reboot is about to become the Disney Afternoon Cinematic Universe.
6:06. Now I'm fascinated by the idea of reboot Skeletor.
Hate me or not but I like the mighty Ducks the animated series. Duke L’orange is my favorite character.
The classic Disney Afternoon lineup was a little before my time and I was mostly raised on Cartoon Network shows, but I have watched the first season of Gargoyles. Along with Batman: The Animated Series, that was definitely a standout cartoon during its time.
a lot of these shows I only know of because of the reruns. The Disney afternoon itself was before my time.
I love every cartoon, on the Disney block. They were all fun to watch, lol. Well maybe not that cat dog cartoon. I can't remember that one, lol.
i've actually gone back to rewatch Bonkers a good few times now thanks to Disney+ cause i was a big fan of the series and, personally: i think it holds up. not sure why Doug had a gun to the show's head in this video just because "iT'S rOgEr RaBbIt~" but i think the idea works for a show and they couldn't just have Roger in the show cause his not a cop. had to mix it up so it's a rough neck cop or a pretty serious one work with a toon. i say give it a watch cause Doug makes it feel like it was the worse of the bunch, which it's not.
I loved that 15 second silence of "talking over cartoons is cool, right?"
Goofy is a badass character by himself, he doesn't need to be hip.
Gadget has such a cult following in Russia, fans even want to make a religion around her. Or so I heard.
Also, The Mighty Ducks at least had a great theme song.
The “grandma” at the end was linkara, he does a comic book review show called atop the 4th wall, it has ongoing storylines, its pretty great
Edit: nvm
Nostalgia Critic Disney Afternoon, Fox Kids, and Toonami are fun to watch. Also R.I.P. Doug's mom. :(
22:15 I think those 3 just became self aware.
I tried very hard to forget that Snookums and Meat existed. Thank you for the nightmares NC.
The reboot is pretty damn good
Please do react to the Ducktales reboot, trust me, it's amazing
RartiyDash,I can’t WAIT for you to catch up with DuckTales 2017
It gets SO MUCH BETTER than S1

I recommend the Nostalgia Critic Commercials Saga.
7:36. It's good to see Bill get some work after getting punched out of existence by an elderly conman.
Please react to the DuckTales reboot
Its amazing
33:55 is that a human in The Lion King.....what mad world are we living in
the Ducktales Reboot is good.
Theres a Death Battle of Beast from X-Men versus Goliath from Gargoyles, that could be a good reaction
@TKHulk (ToonamiKusagari) I agree, no matter If is longer or short It's still enjoyable
Sad that Doug didn't say much about Shere Khan of Tale Spin, he aways have the best lines
10:09 - 10:18
Cursed Audio
38:41 I thought it was an arthur reference.
I watched this in Disney world!
Goofy IS cool! Just in a timeless way.
:03
Can you react to Old vs New: Cinderella and also Old vs New: Spider-Man
Jim Cummings was busy back then.
21:56 MLP !

I liked Mighty Ducks
I remember that Mighty Duck was an good show, So I don't agree with Nostalgia Critic.
