After thoroughly listening to this podcast, I concluded that while Dr. Ishrat Hussain provided some valuable homeopathic suggestions (Although right but are of no meaning/use as he was given due space and time to implement them) , he struggled with their implementation. Throughout the discussion, Dr. Hussain consistently argued that the government's resistance hindered his efforts. However, he also acknowledged that government officials and establishment figures had approached him to implement these ideas.
In the situation where Dr. Ishrat Hussain was not permitted to implement his ideas, he should have resigned from his position. However, he chose to remain in power on repeated instances, seemingly prioritizing his personal and selfish growth.
Shehzad, I appreciated your direct and pointed questioning. Such straightforward inquiries are essential for holding influential figures accountable. This type of discourse is vital for our media and necessary for our progress. We must continue to question those in positions of responsibility to ensure accountability.
Credit is also due to Dr. Hussain for participating in the podcast and sharing his perspective.

What stood out the most for me, was his extraordinary composure and patience, even during the most challenging moments. His ability to remain calm and collected, providing thoughtful responses regardless of the pressure, was truly inspiring. An embodiment of professionalism and wisdom, Dr. Ishtar Sahib exemplifies the qualities of a great leader and thinker. His contribution not only elevated the conversation but also left a lasting impression for many. A must-watch for anyone seeking to learn from one of the best in the field.

Nehru license raj was on decline almost by Shastriji . But he was killed in conspiracy prolly by KGB to install Indira gandhi who established the True Nehru Dynasty and continued the license Raj. In this license Raj chosen industrialists like TATA Birla , Nehru loyalist like Bajaj jinadals and some ppl with talent to Bribe like Dhirubhai Ambani became Crony capitalists and made huge amount money By getting massive protection and monopoly .
Old zamindars and Raja privy purses and privileges were abolished but they were converted into MP MLA of their area. Congress is finished in UP bcoz the lower caste Tenants rose up and Kicked out all these zamindars by voting.
Biggest price india paid was we lost the decades of Free trade and globalisation. Now when we r entering De globalisation and protectionism we r trying to industrialise and export ... very tough to do. Prolly we will have to rely on internal markets now. And won't surpass 8% growth

This is the most interesting, educated & intellectual thinking I have listened to, since a very long time. Dr Ishrat Hussain needs to be the Finance Minister of Pakistan, if your country needs to move forward from this economic crisis. Being an Indian, I heard him twice for his really balanced & truthful review on Indias economy. Keep up such interviews.

🎉 To counter another statement of the guest, he mentioned high growth years of Pakistan were 1980s zia time and musharraf era in 2000s. In both these timelines Pakistan was helping US in war in Afghanistan and because of it Dollars USD were flowing in Pakistan. So that growth was mainly consumption based growth and couldn't sustain once the US stopped funding and sending aid money.

Pakistan received more aid in post Musharraf governments but the economic progress was dismal as compared to Musharraf Era.

@ThePakistanExperience hats off to you, off late I didn't see a single interview where the host grilling the guest with such an honesty. Yet so much humility, and giving space to the guest to give his POV. Liking your programs though many times I'd not connect with the subject much.
