People don't seem to realize what's hit them yet. 4. There were 13 life boats in the Titanic, likewise there's one for every ruling elite and the ones calling the shot at the establishment. 5. The lead characters still harbor hopes of surviving, while I am sure one of them has to play the part of Jack. 6. None of the passing ship are gonna respond to the crises call this time around. 7. Fact is, as a Pakistani, I feel our grandparents were fooled by the politicians of the time. We are better with a United secular india rather than in an Islamic republic.

I've seen video footage of Gurgaon. I am very proud that a metropolis like this exists In India. India has quite a few modern and clean metropolis, however Gurgaon reminds me the most of Toronto Canada where I reside.
Seriously... when my parents first moved to Gurgaon (DLF phase 2), there were sarson fields next to our house. By the time we left in the mid-2000s there were 3-4 malls in walking distance. And we've kept growing. I barely recognized the place when I visited in 2018 with the metro everything.
As an Indian it always intrigued me as to why Pakistan suffered economically. This video is very insightful and gave a glimpse into the matter. We should learn from their policy mistakes and ensure they are not implemented here in India. Hope that things improve next door soon.
I think the reason so many Indians tune in to listen to Uzair is because he falls in a unique bracket of being an outside observer but also a desi who understands the cultural aspects well. He can be trusted with his observations as he doesn't have an incentive to be biased towards any party here. I wish India too must make many more strides in strengthening our democracy and also in narrowing down the rich poor divide. Without doubt Mr. Manmohan Singh's role in reshaping our economy is unquestionable. Unfortunately Pakistan for many years was under military rule. Religion should not be allowed to interfere in the governance of both the countries for better progress. I feel that the successive Pakistan governments obsession with Kashmir was the major reason for the strained relationship between both the countries. Hopefully in future relations between both the countries improve and enable people from both sides to easily visit the other country.

Became a huge fan of #The Pakistan Experience podcast. Watched two episodes and plan to watch every single podcast. After watching these episodes I feel a burning desire to visit Pakistan now. In spite of not being a Pakistani, the situation that Pakistan is in right now made me feel extremely sad and my wish is Pakistan evolves into a more tolerant secular and prosperous society and both the countries make lasting peace with each other🙏
Most of the watchers of this wonderful podcast are, unfortunately, not Pakistanis. An overwhelming majority of such podcasts, full of knowledge, are Indians. Indians are learning more from Pakistan’s economic troubles than Pakistanis themselves.

Uzair, I am 60 now, and the country has transformed in front of my eyes, and needless to say, it has been made possible because of digitization. The service delivery system has improved immensely with minimal leakages. Hence, both the provincial and central government being re-elected more often. You can only sway the populace with your narrative if they are not hungry. India provides free food grains to around 800 million of its citizens. There is nothing to be proud of, but nonetheless, it is huge. The justice delivery system is slow and needs reform. Shezad, admire your research and presentation. Stay blessed.

Also, props to Shehzad for giving space for ideas to emerge and also to interject to go deeper for clarity. A lot of us Indians would like to travel to Pakistan since both are historically, geographically, linguistically and culturally intertwined. Hope your country comes out of this crisis sooner than later and peace and ideas start flowing between our countries. Uzair is such a well read individual. No fluff words, and the way he described India from a tourist lens was just beautiful to hear, and imagine. Funny enough my dad was a representative for Bombay stock exchange, and was posted in Pakistan for 3 months for commodity trading. He had a similar image of Pakistan that people on the ground are just like us. He had one observation that is reflected here as well. Literacy is pretty low, and if they invest more on education, and general well being Pakistan will be in a pretty good shape from Economical perspective.

In Indian financial crisis time in 1991, we felt ashamed and humiliated loaning out all that Gold and those pics of Gold being loaded in trucks in the Newspaper made the difference. We said never again. But for that too, we had ample Gold reserves to begin with, which helped us out. I don't think Pakistan has that much of gold reserves to help them get an IMF loan without too much of scrutiny from IMF or world bank.

1:53:51 Uzair is technically right when he says that PhonePe is a foreign company. But don't forget that it started as a homegrown Indian company with sight on Indian market. It's later hot acquired by Flipkart and Flipkart itself got acquired by Walmart. But Flipkart and PhonePe are India centric companies and started their operations with India focus. So they had to invest in India. Flipkart also is headquartered out of Singapore for tax and compliance reasons. But they are Indian company in spirit. To summarize, when you incentivize the investment through policy decisions coupled with workable institutions (like judiciary), you will have investors - foreign and domestic alike. And then it becomes virtuous cycle.
Yeah, it's not quite correct. PhonePe is by Flipkart which was a domestic startup built by Indians employing mostly Indians - which was the country's biggest unicorn. It was ultimately acquired by Walmart for 20 billion or so - there was a huge foreign capital injection but the team didn't change.

Thanks for responding and taking note. I have seen at least a few of your shorts and they are really good. There may be others I have not seen, but the ones I have seen so far take a 15 minute continuous video piece derived from a single conversation topic of a longer interview. There may be other videos I may have missed, but perhaps you might also consider doing more summaries - taking 2 minutes of each topic from a long interview and piecing it together in a 10 minute summary. Lots of RUclipsrs do that. I don’t have their viewership data but I suspect most folks just watch the summaries. Additionally, you already seem to be attracting a lot of Indian viewers based on comments. Why not invite Indian guests once in a while. You would hands down be better than any Indian content producer - only veteran journalist Shekhar Gupta matches your depth and he doesn’t do the same format (interviews) on RUclips. Whether you find these suggestions helpful or not, do keep up the good work. Nobody in or from India or Pakistan makes the kind of in depth and content rich videos you do!

Educate your women and allow them to work. Have 1-2 kids. India has its own set of issues but atleast millions of people in middle class/ upper middle class are well educated. We have such a strong schooling system that at 18 years our children think of entrance exams in all streams and not of blasting off in the name of religion. Primary formative years are a game changer for any country. Indian states and Indians as a whole spend good money in educating kids. Here even if girls choose not to work, they educate their kids.
Although rapid radicalisation of society and a near absence of modern education remain very real threats; a firm belief that there is still "hope" that if efforts are made in the right direction, it can usher much "good" into the country. However, I sincerely believe that if PK had not split from us - they would have likely impeded IN's progress as well. This is because Islam and Muslims are regressive - and wish to stay stuck in 5th century thoughts and ideas. As an example - see Afghanistan, Iran and even Azad J&K where they are imposing hijab.

As common boy from an Indian village , i didn't use ATM cards to withdraw money for last 2years and always transfer payment Digitaly BY UPI even I have to pay upto rs 5, and in my village farmers also use UPI payment system on mobile to get payment of their crops, It is revolutionary change in MODI Era, proud to see the development and progress done by Modi govt .
ATM and credit cards are being used in Lahore and Islamabad for over 15 years. UPI payments are being used since 2017. This karachi guy doesn't know.

You are perhaps commenting about the usage vis-a-vis Pakistan. But what you seem to miss is the scale in India. It is not just limited to Delhi or Mumbai or some major metro.
In India, UPI payments is used in the remotest of villages, and by the smallest of merchants. Even a beggar goes around with a QR code. The scale is as seen nowhere else in the world, let alone a third world that India still is.

I went to India in 2014 and 2015 as a LUMS trip and back then it was way advance, even digitalisation was happening back then. I can imagine how much it would have progressed over the years now.

I've seen video footage of Gurgaon. I am very proud that a metropolis like this exists In India. India has quite a few modern and clean metropolis, however Gurgaon reminds me the most of Toronto Canada where I reside.
Seriously... when my parents first moved to Gurgaon (DLF phase 2), there were sarson fields next to our house. By the time we left in the mid-2000s there were 3-4 malls in walking distance.
And we've kept growing. I barely recognized the place when I visited in 2018 with the metro everything.
As an Indian it always intrigued me as to why Pakistan suffered economically. This video is very insightful and gave a glimpse into the matter. We should learn from their policy mistakes and ensure they are not implemented here in India. Hope that things improve next door soon.

After that, I worked in many companies, Now things has changed, living in Pune, working in TATA consultancy services ( IT company) and I have a salary package of 24L per annum.
I think this gov has done decent job for attracting investments in India. We can feel the changes.
Indian government and people of India have to work more hard to find new achievements. Still we have long way to go.

Great episode. The primary focus on women's education has been a game changer for India. When you educate women the education trickles down to the children. In effect we have been focussed on educating mother's as teachers to magnify the throughput of primary education to downstream generations.

Hit the nail on the head friend. Look at this : my wife a successful banker two of her sisters practicing doctors( one in USA other at home) another sister is a high school teacher in NewYork. Three of my sisters are teacher, banker & CA.... Imagine if they would allow any of their children to go without a masters at least... and they all are. In spite of not being a Pakistani, the situation that Pakistan is in right now made me feel extremely sad and my wish is Pakistan evolves into a more tolerant secular and prosperous society and both the countries make lasting peace with each other🙏

The service delivery system has improved immensely with minimal leakages. Hence, both the provincial and central government being re-elected more often.

India provides free food grains to around 800 million of its citizens. There is nothing to be proud of, but nonetheless, it is huge.

Came for the clip on India and watched the entire episode. Loved the banter between Shehzad and Uzair and how they kept it light but still discussed serious affairs. Also, props to Shehzad for giving space for ideas to emerge and also to interject to go deeper for clarity. A lot of us Indians would like to travel to Pakistan since both are historically, geographically, linguistically and culturally intertwined. Hope your country comes out of this crisis sooner than later and peace and ideas start flowing between our countries. When that day comes I'm dreaming of riding my motorcycle across the border and being immersed in our shared culture (and better barbeque, according to Shehzad) and long-severed roots. All the best. Uzair is such a well read individual. No fluff words, and the way he described India from a tourist lens was just beautiful to hear, and imagine. Funny enough my dad was a representative for Bombay stock exchange, and was posted in Pakistan for 3 months for commodity trading. He had a similar image of Pakistan that people on the ground are just like us. He had one observation that is reflected here as well. Literacy is pretty low, and if they invest more on education, and general well being Pakistan will be in a pretty good shape from Economical perspective.

Honestly, if there was no Hindu left in a Pakistani village, then Momins would not preserve their temple in the way Ismail Peer Mazar has been preserved in Ghed Bagasara. We see how badly the temples were vandalized in Pakistan after exodus of Hindus during partition leaving them completely dilapidated, the statues inside destroyed, walls peed upon. This violent behavior is supported by the Arab religion : it's the noble duty of a momin to break idols of non Muslims, destroy Kafir places of worship and proclaim supremacy of Islam. Not a single temple has been respected in Pakistan where Hindus have ceased to live. Let's accept this one sided rhetoric coming from this Arabic faith/cult.
That said, give credit where it's due, Indian muslims do do this kind of thing sometimes - but I'm giving zero credit to islam for it.

Well I disagree with u on some points-
1-What general Pakistani think about Indians, it doesn't matter because they're controlled by the Deep State and the Army and no proper democratic structure is functioning in Pakistan. Yes India has some problems in her democratic structure but we can improve on those things when u have mandates of people.
2- U said Hindus are getting radicalised by the BJP government but it's an entirely false assumption because the global left controls narratives all around the world and they hate conservatism, Traditions, and culture of Hindus. In Indian financial crisis time in 1991, we felt ashamed and humiliated loaning out all that Gold and those pics of Gold being loaded in trucks in the Newspaper made the difference. We said never again. But for that too, we had ample Gold reserves to begin with, which helped us out. I don't think Pakistan has that much of gold reserves to help them get an IMF loan without too much of scrutiny from IMF or world bank.
At 1:05:07 when the host says "that's South Asia". No that's Hindu India. If it was a common thing across the subcontinent we would see such examples from Pakistan as well where Muslims have preserved and pray in Hindu temples. So please don't take credit for put secularism

1:53:51 Uzair is technically right when he says that PhonePe is a foreign company. But don't forget that it started as a homegrown Indian company with sight on Indian market. It's later hot acquired by Flipkart and Flipkart itself got acquired by Walmart. But Flipkart and PhonePe are India centric companies and started their operations with India focus. So they had to invest in India. Flipkart also is headquartered out of Singapore for tax and compliance reasons. But they are Indian company in spirit.
To summarize, when you incentivize the investment through policy decisions coupled with workable institutions (like judiciary), you will have investors - foreign and domestic alike. And then it becomes virtuous cycle.
Yeah, it's not quite correct. PhonePe is by Flipkart which was a domestic startup built by Indians employing mostly Indians - which was the country's biggest unicorn. It was ultimately acquired by Walmart for 20 billion or so - there was a huge foreign capital injection but the team didn't change.

The mass audience is perhaps at the 10 minute video length. About the time some folks will spend on a shit pot 😉

Thanks for responding and taking note. I have seen at least a few of your shorts and they are really good. There may be others I have not seen, but the ones I have seen so far take a 15 minute continuous video piece derived from a single conversation topic of a longer interview. There may be other videos I may have missed, but perhaps you might also consider doing more summaries - taking 2 minutes of each topic from a long interview and piecing it together in a 10 minute summary. Lots of RUclipsrs do that. I don’t have their viewership data but I suspect most folks just watch the summaries.
Additionally, you already seem to be attracting a lot of Indian viewers based on comments. Why not invite Indian guests once in a while. You would hands down be better than any Indian content producer - only veteran journalist Shekhar Gupta matches your depth and he doesn’t do the same format (interviews) on RUclips.
Whether you find these suggestions helpful or not, do keep up the good work. Nobody in or from India or Pakistan makes the kind of in depth and content rich videos you do!

Educate your women and allow them to work. Have 1-2 kids. India has its own set of issues but atleast millions of people in middle class/ upper middle class are well educated.
We have such a strong schooling system that at 18 years our children think of entrance exams in all streams and not of blasting off in the name of religion.
Primary formative years are a game changer for any country. Indian states and Indians as a whole spend good money in educating kids. Here even if girls choose not to work, they educate their kids.
Although rapid radicalisation of society and a near absence of modern education remain very real threats; a firm belief that there is still "hope" that if efforts are made in the right direction, it can usher much "good" into the country.
