Here is my DIY video on how to change front struts on a Cayenne 958 92A. Don't make the same mistake I did and use the wrong spring compressor. Enjoy Thanks for watching Like and subscribe for future content.

I just did my 2016 Cayenne today and followed your instructions but was able to change them without taking off the hub bolt - it was a lot of work pushing up on the upper wishbone and down on the lower suspension...you also have to take the other hose clips on the lower arm (where you took off one clip) - I also used used a $100 spring compressor from eBay which is similar to the spring compressor that was in the Porsche service manual... it was titled "Interchangeable Fork Strut Coil Spring Compressor Extractor" and worked very well on the front and back springs!
    Great video!

Dude! Thanks for the tip on the spring compressor, I'm about to do shocks all-around on my '13 Cayenne and ordered one of those sets today!

Thanks for the video. I can see I need to wait until I'm on vacation before doing this on my Touareg.

FINALLY FOR GOD SAKE somebody put a front shock repair on a 958 WITH TORQUES ,since I just quit trying to find those everywhere and it was impossible. Mine has air spring, but I'm pretty sure the torques are the same. Thanks Kevin

Thanks for watching. I try to remember to put torque specs when it is really needed.

This is awesome video. Thank you Kevin! The great thing is that you share all important info that is needed (e.g. torque spec.)

Not that a second pair of hands would help, but that’s a pretty challenging job to tackle. I’d have busted a knuckle for sure! Great job, Kevin .

To get 350 ft lbs on the outer axle nut: stand a 200 lbs guy on the end of a horizontal 1.75 foot long breaker bar.

Wonder if you can purchase the strut with a new spring so you won't have to go to all these headaches,

You probably could the only issue I could see is if the spring rates don’t match the factory’s rates

My Cayenne 2014 is creeping up to 90k miles. What do you think I need to prepare myself as far as repairs? I have to get my strut and suspension coil fixed very soon.

Hi Kevin, great video. Is it for non air suspension type?

    Thanks Kevin.
My 14 Cayenne has started lil rattling noise on small bumps .
I was thinking of replacing both the struts in the front .
Did yours resolved the rattle ?

My rattle was solved with the upper control arm but my shock was blown and soft.

      Thanks Kevin. Appreciate the response.
I will start with upper control arm first .
      Thanks

It still could be away bar links you need to pry and pull and stuff to find what’s loose. It is possible to have bad struts. If the struts are wet with oil then you definitely have to replace those. It’s best to shake the wheels and pry on the bushings and joint to look for excessive movement. Suspension noises can be tricky to diagnose.

      I agree with you 100%.
Surprisingly on some odd days there is no rattle at all .
Definitely will have to check each item
