You’ll love this. I was a professional musician for 50 years. I used to play gigs with a drummer named Pee Wee. He was 5 feet tall on a good day. More like 5’ 10”. This was in the late 80’s. He was in his 70’s at the time. He drove a beat up faded and a bit rusty blue early 1970’s Suburban. He used to put his drum kit in the back of course. Problem was that during the drive to the gig his drum kit slid forward. But nothing stopped Pee Wee. He had a 6 foot garden rake that he would use to pull his drums back so he could grab them. I swear this is true. Pee Wee was a wonderful drummer and the happiest man I ever met. He made me happy every time I was in his presence! RIP

@@kenwright149 That's not entirely true. A rim is naturally much more balanced than any tire ever will be due to molding variations of tires having different density or distribution throughout. Less tire mass means less chance of balance issues. Yes, higher volume tires from smaller rims do absorb bumps better and are less likely to transmit road vibration due to softer sidewalls, but the trade-off is higher prevalence of balance issues, especially as they wear.

I may be in the minority, but I'm glad they didn't stray too far from the styling of the 21+ Tahoe/Suburban. Nice update to the taillamps and rear styling. 24" wheels will be keeping tire shops well flush with cash for sure!😂
The dash looks ok, but I hate this trend of BIG SCREEN ALL THE THINGS! Takes away any type of individualism of the design.

    • @brianzjones

I agree that too many screens can be annoying. But the stated reason makes little sense: when the Escalade and Tahoe & Silverado, et al., all had the same dash, that was a lack of individualism. The screens generally all offer some changes and customization, so allow much more personalization.

Those 24s are definitely not my cup of tea (they look quite stupid) but that's a personal preference and easily fixed. However, orienting the center towards the driver on this type of vehicle is just not flowing with me. This isn't a freaking BWM. I don't know, I prefer symmetry I guess. Doesn't look bad otherwise.

@@truckinman86 why do y’all intentionally make things seem more complicated than they actually are? I’ve literally replaced my own headlights in a Malibu within 5 mins with a plug-in LED setup. *gm* makes it very easy to do this. Now of course when you add fancy animations it gets complicated and a little more expensive but I’d argue this front end is on a expensive *gm* vehicle too so that comes with this territory and caliber of truck. In fact, it’s the largest and most expensive model Chevrolet sells (their flagship SUV). I bet the animation or “moving LEDs” do not include the headlight bulb for a reason. That headlight LED bulb is separated from the DRLs and I’m willing to bet _that_ LED headlight bulb will be easily replaceable.

Couldn’t stand the button shifter, the seats were rock hard and it was hard to see over the dash. Now that they’ve addressed these items, I’ll probably be a buyer. However not with 24’s. @@grouchosaysRight now in my area of Texas. About $0.80/gal. Not a huge cost, but also have to count in DEF. Chevy says 20 highway, but nobody ever gets that, so I’d guess closer to 17-18. Gas works out to $0.16/mile, diesel to $0.14/mile with def and using 28mpg. Which is $36 difference on an 1,800 mile trip. Not a huge difference either way.

Just a slight correction on the size, Roman. This 2025 suburban is not bigger than the current Grand Wagoneer. The Jeep is actually 1” longer at 226.7” although the wheelbase is 3” shorter than the Suburban. Pretty sure the Suburban won’t match the 10k lb max tow rating of the Grand Wagoneer also although that’s not really a “size” comparison.
