Love it, EXCEPT no head restraints and no sunshades! I was so hopeful for them! I need sunshades for my 3 year old and I need head restraints for my older kids! Come on Chevy!
While I like the idea of just walking up to the trunk and having it open, what if you are just walking around the back of the car to get to a door on the other side??
Thanks for the quick 1st look. How is it possible in 2025 to not have a center position head restraint in the 3rd row? We have an old 2001 Suburban, and when we made the decision to buy that, one of the negatives we had to live with was this same issue. I figured that surely, 23 years later, they would have fixed this. A real head scratcher. Thanks for your review.
GM needs to incorporate middle head restraints, bring back ceiling DVD players, car seat friendly tilt, sun shades, etc like come on. These behemoths are supposed to be designed for families. And this is coming from a 2016 suburban owner.
With ya on the head restraints! Are the 3rd row reclineable yet?! Ford expedition had being doing it for years! This and the overall seat comfort is why we purchased the expedition over GM. Was hoping GM would figure it out by now.
Yeah all full size SUVS except the GM ones have power reclining third rows and yeah no excuse for the absence of Middle head restraints considering the redesigned Acadia now has em
Push the button twice and it’ll lift the seat up also. Also, the thing on the side that folds it down also will lift it up. The pull string on the back is the third option, you dnt have to use it every time.
Love watching your videos, so helpful when car shopping! I’ve been waiting for years to buy a suburban only because I’m waiting for them to catch up with the interior and yes back seat headrest!!! For a family of 7, 5 kids I want a back headrest for my kids and I want passenger talk where I can intercom to the back and see them with a camera. Like a Kia! Hello Chevy, get it together, start implanting these design features into your car models so you’re worth the price tag. Hate the dash interior of the suburban for the past 3 years and now I will wait for 2025, but really wish a head rest was in the back, and I hope the intercom system will be in there, if any suv needs it, it would be a suburban. I also want a button on the door side of the seat to fold down the middle row so my 5 year old can do it. Chevy needs to hire you as a design consultant.
I don't understand why big SUVs like this don't have the same door as minivan. I'm settling with the minivan just because of the door. It makes so much sense and makes life very easy.
You need to look closer at the center console. The reason it doesn’t look as deep when you open the top is because it slides rearward and exposes a lower “hidden” tray compartment underneath.
As an emergency physician, I see plenty of folks with whiplash who are sitting with headrests. It doesn’t prevent it. Having a headrest is a comfort feature more than a meaningful safety feature.
Just found your channel and LOVE THIS! Even as a 45 year old grown man with no kids, I also like eating Chickfila salads on my armrest. None of the other dudes are even thinking about that. #Subscribed So I can finally get some real person's perspective now!
The center console is smaller than the Tahoe you reviewed bc the Suburban has the power sliding center console option selected and that particular Tahoe did not.
Is there camera for backseats for kids? Does the back seats tilt for car seats? And does that back part in the trunk lift up for storage? Yeah I’m not liking the hatch opening with the key.
It’s a safety issue and should be mandated.. even cheap dodge minivans have them , the mid 3rd row seat has a retractable one that moves out of the way when not in use to allow the driver better rear view visibility
@@JS-wj3rl almost anyone in the middle seat is a child not tall enough to get anywhere near the top of it we have enough mandates. In fact, probably too many if you want to add that mandate, then get rid of some other mandates. When is this going to end?
I think they need to upgrade it and rethink how they make it because if you get a family and somebody's in the third row what are you going to have to entertain them you only get two TVs I think they should add TVs for the third row people too
Finally the infotainment screen doesn’t look like an afterthought! Previous version looks like they just mounted an iPad in a rounded bezel that protruded from the rest of the dash.
Why wouldn't they update the 3rd row access fold and used the one like the Navigator or Wagoneer. It makes it so not carseat friendly, But what can we expect from a cheap 2nd and 3rd row by GM....smh
To me this looks the same as about 2007 Suburban just delete the gizmo lights and digital effects . I bet the ride for back seat passengers is school bus like. Just bring 100K so not waste your time and the dealer's time
Absolute BS! Chevy auto drive is nothing even close to "as near as you can get with Autonomous driving". What a load of bull. Stopped watching the sales pitch after that load of BS right at the beginning. You know what sort of sales pitch your getting when you hear quantifiable and receipt ladened BS.
4:46 girl I LOVE your honesty about the head rest!!!!! Squeaky wheel gets the oil and your squeak will save lives. THANK YOU
She always means... O sea helloooo!!! xD.
You would think with all the reviews you have done, the car companies would listen to the upgrades us parents actually need!
Some have implemented things she has suggested
They only listen to the sound of green. Vote with dollars
It's definitely not moms designing it.
You are so cool and realistic for everyday people...great video and didn't take 10-20 minutes like most reviews. Thank you CarMom

I'm so glad the column shifter is finally back and I love the 17.7 inch display of the inside and it looks amazing 😍🔥
While I like the idea of just walking up to the trunk and having it open, what if you are just walking around the back of the car to get to a door on the other side??
I was thinking the same thing. I think it would get old really quick for when you don’t plan to put or take anything out of the trunk.
The quick switch from get whiplash?? To however we do have ceiling vents sent me 😂😂😂

New subscriber, I’m still loving my old Suburban. Making new memories with it daily.
The reason why the center console is not that deep is it slides back and there is a hidden storage compartment underneath

Good overview, precious Kelly! The Suburban come totally renewed for '25 and now with the auto column shifter back. Hard to believe it

Enjoy your eco junk engine.

the column shifter is back 👍
Really like this new updates. Ready to order one for my family. Thank you
Kelly the center console slides back to put cup holders near second row and allows more storage space

Do you know when the 2025 Yukon’s will be revealed? Thx
Just bought a Navigator L and was certain I’d never get anything else but I do love this!
I walk to the back of my vehicle not always with the intention of opening the trunk. I like ford’s tilt and slide actually. It accommodates a car seat
First ❤ huge car mom fan!!

Love that 6.2 liter V-8 engine

Could you do a tour of a 2025 suburban with a middle bench seat?

She’s not lying about the whiplash
This channel is awesome
The center console moves out backward, so there's more storage underneath it.
I feel like I’m watching Elizabeth Olsen if she made a car channel 😂
Do we know if they’re planning a refresh for the Yukon xls too?
1:57 compared with cadillac? Escalade? Petrol version Tech battle
King of Trunk Space , interior looks wayyy better too.
Is there camera for backseats for kids? Does the back seats tilt for car seats? And does that back part in the trunk lift up for storage? Yeah I’m not liking the hatch opening with the key.
So does this new upgrade have fog lamps? It looks like it, but no one is actually talking about them🤔i would think that would be a selling point
Headrests for every seat should be a federal mandate.
No, it shouldn’t enough with the mandates
@@Ryan2022 someone is feeling risky in the middle third row seat of the suburban 😏

What's up with the huge difference in center console depth between this and the Tahoe????

Dang it!! Was about to order a 2024. 😩
Nice car
This Suburban makes Kelly look 5'4".
Darn, these were rumored to be 2024 updates, unfortunately pushed another year.
She’s talking very fast but I like how she doesn’t just ogle at the car. She offers some criticism which was good
Question- what happens if you walk to the back when the garage door is closed?
How are you walking towards the back if your garage door is closed? 🤔 like is there actually ever enough room for that with the door closed?
Then your garage door and trunk can kiss good bye
🥳
👍
😊😊
As a property management realtor mom of 5 i can only drive suburbans and Yukon XL'S 😩😂
What about the luxurious Caddy Escalade ESV
Middle headrest GM!!!
Why wouldn't they update the 3rd row access fold and used the one like the Navigator or Wagoneer. It makes it so not carseat friendly, But what can we expect from a cheap 2nd and 3rd row by GM....smh
Big family car and no third row anchors??? The heck
What we are not in 2024 yet and we are seeing the 2025 🤣
We need the EV version. And priced below 80k.
Autonomous [aw-ton-uh-muhs] not ontonamus, especially [ih-spesh-uh-lee] not ex-pecially.
I’m an old guy. 73. I didn’t understand one word she said.
Please invest in light. It’s really hard to see details, way too dark
No Seat Belts, No Seat and no head rest. Also the driver needs to see out back, not your head blocking... ;-(
Anyone in the middle of that backseat is going to be a kid about 4 feet tall.
That console sucks! My older Yukon xl has a huge one
She could sell any car
Its not a true 7 seater if it doesn't have a headrest.

2025? 2024 barely came out yet. Really
Because 2024 they didn’t do anything so it’s a useless model year

My 2003 suburban LT has more balls than this
each year this car is getting uglier. the 2015-2020 ones are the best versions of this car
on-tonomous. love the channel.
