like the way you guys include a list of tools, that really helps me I'm disabled and its nice not to be running around looking for tools, thanks guys Rick.
Great Video, just fyi I managed to remove and replace one light without removing the bumper. So for those of you like myself who's bottom bolts are rusted or worn, I accomplished this task without removing the front bumper.
For the 97 thee are four fasteners you can't reach. Pop the lights down lower off. One screw each. There fare four bolt holding the bumper on. Take those off and the whole bumper assembly come off. Much easier.
The video was super The only thing my son and I ran into was there were 2 of the expanding screwed inserts under each headlight assembly holding the bumper cover on. I ended up cutting the heads off with a straight bladed screw driver and then the video was dead on in its direction, Thanks again!
video was super helpful.......only difference is that underneath the headlights where the bumper is attached there were locking screws holding the bumper on......i had to pop off old headlight covers to get to these......not sure if that was correct way but i got to them!!!!
Thank you very much for saving me a but load of money getting someone else to install my new Headlights. This video was perfect. Thanks for the time and effort! Please make more!
There were 2 remaining plastic bumper anchors underneath each headlight that were inaccessible on my 1995 Accord EX. The best way to be able to retain all of the plastic bumper anchors is to remove the entire bumper intact by accessing the mounting bolts (2 per side) through the turn signal openings (requires removing the turn signals.) That's how the Honda shop manual shows it being done, and it doesn't require any plastic bumper anchors to be removed at all, or any disassembly of the bumper! (Manual available at HondaHookUp.)
There were 9 Phillip screws on my 94 honda accord ex .There were two under the headlights so I had to take the screw heads off so I can take the bumber off. They left that part off the video .
@fastdunn You can remove all the screws but if I remember correctly you can not get the light up and out. I believe I tried but taking the impact absorber off ended up being the easiest way.
@noahkeebler Who ever put the body kit on may have modified or changed some things. If you watch the video, it should show you how everything should be on the front of the car, so that you can attach the stock bumper back on.
There's not 5 clips on the top of the bumper cover, there's 9. And you made no mention at all on how to remove the 2 under each headlight, which are clearly visible at 5:12
I found four more of those "phillips clips" underneath the headlight assemblies. A real pita to deal with. interesting that your honda only had five and were easy to get to. Thanks for the instructions--Got me through it and it looks great now
+Denis Brown Thanks for watching. If any of our viewers needs to make this repair we carry the part shown in this video on our website. Here's a link to themwww.1aauto.com/1A/HeadLights/Honda/Accord/1ALHP00032?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony
Our video gives you the best run down of how to install the turn signal housings. We did not find any other bolts hold the side markers in other that what was shown in the video.
There is an adjustment screw on the back of the headlight. it is a long shaft that has a screw attached to it to allow the headlight you be pushed forward and back.
@1aauto I'm actually installing custom aftermarket sets. But I will refer to your website if I ever needed some replacement parts. Thank you very much, I have subscribed to your channel.
The turn signals have on screw that hold them in place. You can remove the parking light with out taking the bumper off. We show you how to do this at the very beginning of the video. Hope this helps you out.
@Whartondoc Obviously my car was taken apart many times so I did not have these screws, so they are not covered in the video. Can you remove the bumper mounted signal light and get to them from underneath?
I've got 2 screws under each headlight on my 97 Accord, see no way of getting to it, going to break the lenses so i can take bumper off, those screws ain't going back in! I tried to remove turn signal lens, afraid to break that too, so I'll just break what I am already replacing
great video. only instruction i could find for 1994-7 accord on the web. By the way, why do we need to remove impact absorber to take out the headlight assembly ? It looks like side screw might be able to be reached from side...?
We currently do not have a repair video on this particular repair. We do carry the replacement headlights for your 93 Nissan Maxima on our website 1aauto.com
Unfortunately even though the hole might appear to be the same, the mounting brackets as well as the mounting points on the frame are different and would require some work for them to fit correctly.
1994 you need to remove the bumper by taking out the parking lights, there is one screw holding them in (one each) you will need a long Phillips screw driver access in through the middle lower part of the bumper . There are two bolts for the bumper brackets one on left and one on the right. Remove the bumper cover side bolts (as in your video) and lift up and pull out a little on the bumper and it will drop down and give to room to remove four bolts. reverse the process for re-installation
The 93 lights are designed differently. We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to remove them on your vehicle. The removal process may be different.
There is also two acre locking tabs under neath both headlight...There is a tool u can use to remove them but I chose a easier method...I just took a flat head screwdriver and a hammer to pry up the head and then hammered th r head part of the screw until it broke off
+Gold1997GT Yes!! the locking tabs under both headlights!! this video does not mention them,, HUGE MISTAKE, 1AAutoparts should address this and edit the video- major flaw!!
On the older Honda's, it is not uncommon to break the tabs on the parking lights. The plastic they used wasn't top quality and over time the oils from the plastic dry up and make it brittle.
Has anybody encountered the clips on top of the bumper that are hidden beneath the light assembly? I haven't figured out how to loosen them for bumper removal?
thnx man now i dont feel like my dim lights are gonna kill me becuz they only go out 5 feet. litterally. btw when you pull the bumper off does that mean you could replace it with a different bumper? (like one on a body kit)
The way you get the bumper "screws" /push-clips out from under the headlights takes a different method. You have to leave the bumper cover attached to the bumper. Take the bumper turn signal lights out, reach through the holes, and unbolt 4 bumper mount bolts. And 2 nuts behind in engine compartment. So the whole bumper, cover, and mounts slide out as one unit from beneath the lights and grill area. So really you don't even have to takes those "screws" out. This method is 1990-style anyway.
You should be able to reach in back of the headlights and twist the retainer that holds the headlight bulbs into place. You shouldn't have to take the headlights out. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Wow! Your prices are very good for 94-97 Accord parts! I bookmarked your website for my future orders. :) oh, by the way, are the shocks oem or just standard aftermarket? I think they were called HPV shocks or bi-valved?
1992 Accord a much simpler process. Just ordered my replacement headlight assemblies from 1AAuto.com. Will let you know the results of installation and bumper reinstall. 1Aauto has great prices on these headlight kits.
How do you remove the 2 small screws behind the headlights? I'm having trouble finding any space at all. I just bought some bad ass new headlights but I do not want to have to pay more money to get them installed because of this one problem! Thank you
You should have removed the battery first for cleaner access to the high beam bulbs, and then used alcohol to clean the bulbs before reinstalling into the new fixture. Any fingerprints or grit can make the expensive bulbs burn out like flashbulbs.
I had a bad alternator replaced on my 96 Honda accord V6 a few days ago. A week ago I replaced high beams and they were working fine. Now they are not working. Would the cause be from the alternator replacement? My low beams work fine.
@1aauto Ahh thank you very much, but after succesfully removing those bolts, I came about another problem :( There are two tabs under the headlights which makes it impossible to remove because there is no room to work with. Do you know of this problem?
Hello, quick question: I bought a full-amber corner light set for my headlights and I just want to know if I need to do this whole process of removing the bumper? I saw in the video that you uninstalled the corner light without removing the bumper. I know this may sound redundant but I would like to know if its just easier to remove the bumper to uninstall and reinstall the corner piece of the headlight.
i realized that you gota turn the gray coller not the bulb its self, i was trying to turn the bulb...thats what it says in the manual; turn the bulb. got it now thanks for fast responce
What about the 4 clips UNDER the headlights in the fascia? Honda I was looking at, in the junk yard, had 2 under each light. How come yours doesn't? 5:14 shows the holes for them. Another question: Don't you have to disconnect the air bags system before pulling the bumper? Easy bumper removal: ruclips.net/video/cj748XlRWKI/видео.html

Is it true that there are 2 bolts behind each lower turn signal housing? I didn't see you remove any, but other web directions state those 4 other bolts. **confused**
You forgot to mention the reason why the bottom captive plastic screws that hold the bumper on would be missing (as they are on that car) - they are virtually impossible to remove! I ended up levering them out ;)

@ibisrider72 Thank you for checking us out. Have a great holiday season.
Honda made removal and replacement of headlights A LOT more difficult then they needed to be!
There were 2 remaining plastic bumper anchors underneath each headlight that were inaccessible on my 1995 Accord EX. I learned that today. Went to replace my bumper cover and had to remove the entire bumper. It sucked. Lol
There were 9 Phillip screws on my 94 honda accord ex .There were two under the headlights so I had to take the screw heads off so I can take the bumber off. They left that part off the video .
Thanks 1aauto! I just replaced my headlights today. Put some angel eyes in. Because of this video, it made the process much easier! Thanks again!
@dougcarran You may want to check the fuses and also the wire with a test light to see if there's power going to it.
@fastdunn You can remove all the screws but if I remember correctly you can not get the light up and out. I believe I tried but taking the impact absorber off ended up being the easiest way.
This is the best in do it yourself videos!!! 1aauto is the best!!!

+George Washington Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team.
I have the same question
always quality , and the rite way of working on the hondas , my 97 accord lx appreciates your expertise.
The original headlights looks way better than mine 👍 Mine are sorry looking and in desperate need for some new headlamps! Thanks for the video!
Great stuff!...Thankd for watching.

+1A Auto Parts would a 96 accord be able to do a 94 rear lights conversation if you switch the trunk?
@PandahBoii Once the screws are removed, and the bumper cover ends are unhooked. The cover should just slide right out as shown in the video.
@XelaXor Thanks a lot, glad we can help. Please think of our website if you should need parts :)
These video's made by 1A Auto are awesome.. Sincerely thank you 1A Auto..
+dAtBoAh No problem. Thank you for watching. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
It would be nice if the replacement part actually matched the oem on the vehicle...

1aauto,
You guys rock! Thank you so much! If anything needs to be fixed or replaced I will come to you!
@1aauto I'm actually installing custom aftermarket sets. But I will refer to your website if I ever needed some replacement parts. Thank you very much, I have subscribed to your channel.

Missed the part where there’s 3 clips for the bumper, UNDER THE HEAD LIGHT 🤦🏻♂️
If there's a retaining collar holding the bulb in place you may have to remove it first. Hope this helps you out.
Thanks for checking us out. We'll keep this request in mind.
Going to try this today... your video makes it not so difficult looking. Thank you.
Very good video, I got hit in an intersection lost my light and tore my bumper off..Now just to order the parts and get to work.
Thank you very much for this. It really upsets me to see that 6 people actually dislike this vid! Do they want you to come and change it for them???
@PandahBoii If it's a hex bolt, it sounds as though you would need a socket to remove them.
I've got 2 screws under each headlight on my 97 Accord, see no way of getting to it, going to break the lenses so i can take bumper off, those screws ain't going back in! I tried to remove turn signal lens, afraid to break that too, so I'll just break what I am already replacing
@xentrox You're welcome, thank you for taking the time to check us out. We sell those headlights for your Honda Accord on our website 1aauto.com
@Legoman0323 Night now our's are under 100 for the pair. Check them out on 1aauto.com, you can use this video to install your new one's.
@pritime21 No, I only put the car on the lift to make filming easier.
It never hurts to do this when working on your vehicle. Have a great day!
Good job on explaining!!! Now the question is , is there an adjustment screw for left to right ???
No problem, I figured that it was something like that. Have a great day.
Thanks for the informative video! I have a 95 Accord that I am installing hid retrofit projectors soon, and your video helped me greatly. Cheers!
great video. only instruction i could find for 1994-7 accord on the web.
By the way, why do we need to remove impact absorber to take out the headlight assembly ? It looks like side screw might be able to be reached from side...?
If there's anything blocking you from reaching it you may need to remove it (if you can), so that you can get your hand in there.
Thanks so much. So easy with the video. I'll be sure to order from you the next time I need some parts.

@israeldmx2003 Honestly don't know if it is the same on a '99 but I imagine it would be.
Thanks for the great video! Saved me from paying someone else labor to do it for me.
@PandahBoii Those shouldn't stop you from being able to remove the front bumper cover. it should come out as shown in the video.
The 93 lights are designed differently. We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to remove them on your vehicle. The removal process may be different.

+Gold1997GT
Yes!! the locking tabs under both headlights!! this video does not mention them,, HUGE MISTAKE, 1AAutoparts should address this and edit the video- major flaw!!
Yeah..def screws under each headlight , forgot to mention that lol
On the older Honda's, it is not uncommon to break the tabs on the parking lights. The plastic they used wasn't top quality and over time the oils from the plastic dry up and make it brittle.
These are just a standard aftermarket OEM style shock.
Has anybody encountered the clips on top of the bumper that are hidden beneath the light assembly? I haven't figured out how to loosen them for bumper removal?
this is a big help, bout to install some halos on my 97
thnx man now i dont feel like my dim lights are gonna kill me becuz they only go out 5 feet. litterally.
btw when you pull the bumper off does that mean you could replace it with a different bumper? (like one on a body kit)
It could be a headlight switch going bad or possible loose wire somewhere.

+Nancy Gardner Thanks for watching. 1aauto.com
i bought a 97 accord se as a third car. what have you done to yours so far?
You should be able to reach in back of the headlights and twist the retainer that holds the headlight bulbs into place. You shouldn't have to take the headlights out. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Wow! Your prices are very good for 94-97 Accord parts! I bookmarked your website for my future orders. :) oh, by the way, are the shocks oem or just standard aftermarket? I think they were called HPV shocks or bi-valved?

@AztecPrideX It really is not that hard as long as you know what you need to do.
what about the two plastic screws under each headlight U skipped over!!!🤔🤨🧐

@Legoman0323 It may be corrosion.
I notice that you also had the short ram intake installed. Do you have a video on how to do that?
You should have removed the battery first for cleaner access to the high beam bulbs, and then used alcohol to clean the bulbs before reinstalling into the new fixture. Any fingerprints or grit can make the expensive bulbs burn out like flashbulbs.
would you please make a video on how to aim them too?! Thanks . :D
I had a bad alternator replaced on my 96 Honda accord V6 a few days ago. A week ago I replaced high beams and they were working fine. Now they are not working. Would the cause be from the alternator replacement? My low beams work fine.
I own a 1992 Accord, need to do this job. Is it similar to the 94 process? Thanks!
Unfortunately these vehicles did not come with a one piece headlight. These headlights have a separate headlight and parking light from each other.
Your caddy would be a different process. We currently do not have an auto repair video on that particular year, make model.
Thank you so much a1auto you are the shizzle dizzle
+Jose Zigzag Thank you for your feedback!

So, do you actually turn the grey collar, not the bulb (as the manual says)? What if it is stuck? Both won't move for me. Any ideas?
