Dude! You're the BEST! Very well spoken, and to the point without all the extra trying to be cool for viewers. I made my first cup with your instructions and the results are amazing. I'm so excited now to be adding mugs to my business.
Super Video! You sold me on getting a SG1000 Sawgrass printer and try this out for myself!! Thank you!!!!!!!
Awesome! I'm sure you're going to love your SG1000.

Ahhhh thanks very helpful 🙂 love this channel
Thank you so much =)
@HeatPressNation I'm referring to the full color mug (I might have commented on the wrong video) see pix. He was demonstrating the heat press I want! The video came up when I was shopping for porcelain sub mugs. I was wondering if the porcelain was better than ceramic to prevent ghosting. I've never left my images in place once I removed the mug but maybe that's my issue?
My original comment on the other video.
Was that 15 oz full bleed mug porcelain or ceramic?
How did you avoid ghosting with the black?
Your reply to my original comment.
HeatPressNation
In this video we used an 11oz ceramic mug. We applied a full bleed graphic. To avoid ghosting, be sure to use heat tape to keep your transfer fixed in place through the pressing process. In this video we recommend waiting 30-60 seconds before peeling. You can wait longer - 5 minutes or until cool - if you notice ghosting or blurring on your mugs
I just ordered the SG1000 to work along with my 7 in 1 heatpress from Heatpress Nation. Getting anxious. 😂
You are going to love it!
@@HeatPressNation Shows to be delivered on the 8th. 😂
are this microwave safe after and before sublimating??
Thank you...
Need help, my mugs are ghosting. I'm using this exact model and taping it good
Try to wait a few minutes before removing the transfer from your mug. Sometimes if you peel too soon, there may still be gas dye present on the surface of the mug. As it seeps out/up, it may leave a streaked or "ghosted" appearance on your image. By letting it cool a little before peeling, you can eliminate this.
Good video Jared thanks

I notice you don't use butcher paper or any kind of wrap. How do you keep the ink from bleeding onto the heat press?
For some reason, we don't really have a problem with outgassed inks staining the mug press. We've tested literally thousands of mugs here and have yet to stain a mug press heating element. However, we encourage anyone who feels safer using blowout paper to continue doing so.
It's interesting because when using a regular flat heat press (like for t-shirts) we ALWAYS use parchment paper for protection.
Great video - question though, why didn't the 15 oz. Design go around the the whole mug (including behind the handle?) Instead it was a harsh stop. Can this be done differently to avoid that ?
The design of the mug press includes a gap to accommodate the handle of the mug. This gap does not allow for any heat or pressure to be applied on those areas. That's why the image does not extent do those areas.
That section cannot be customized with a mug press. You may be able to accomplish this with heat shrink and an oven, though we haven't tested this method.
@@HeatPressNation That makes sense, thank you for the clarification
Great great tutorial. What type of images can you use from the internet ??
You can use just about any image for sublimation. It depends on what graphic design program you use to set up your graphics and/or edit your templates.
Thank you for this video. I am not sure of the proper term, but how do I remove the inside of a text, just like the writingyou haveon your mug?? Please
The text is white with a black stroke. When placed over the floral background, the white of the text makes it appear like it was cut out or removed from the floral patter. The black stroke on the text is what allows you to still read it.
The Sawgrass Print Manager won't download completely onto my computer, how else can I print the design from creative studios?
You'll need to have Sawgrass Print Manager installed on your computer. There's no other way to get it to print properly from CreativeStudio.

does the press heat the white background onto the mug or was the background design transparent so it ignored it?
Hi Alexander! Correct, it is a transparent background. Sublimation printers do not have the ability to print the color white. Hope this helps! :)
Hi! I'm new to this. You don't need shrink wrap for coffee mugs?
Now when you are using a heat press :)
Do I need to wrap a blank piece of paper around mug so ink doesn’t transfer onto my press??
We haven't found the need to do this with our mugs. But you can if you want to.
I have a slight problem. I have the HPN 7-in-1 signature series mug press and I am trying to press the 11 oz Lover Mug set. Can you tell me what sleeve/time/temp I should use for the "spooned" cup. I have tried different sleeves and just can't get the pressure right. Thanks
My wife (UnlockedCrafts) just received your answer to this question on another You Tube video. Thanks
Siser EasyPSV has an outdoor rating of up to 3-5 years. (This will vary by climate and the amount of time in direct sunlight.)
I just bought one today from you guys. How close can you get on each side of the handle of a mug?
We usually recommend keeping your graphics about 1/2" away from the handle on either side.
Do you think I could do my designs through Canva or the quality won't be as good?
If Canva allows you to design at 300dpi, you should be good. That's the minimum resolution we recommend for sublimation.
Do you let your mug cool completely or just for a minute? When I've done this using this exact mug press but image still has some blurring during the cooling process.
If you're still getting blurring, let the mug cool completely before peeling. You can also try dip the mug in very warm (almost hot) water to stop the sublimation process. (Do not use cold water, as this will ruin the mug)
Thanks for the tutorial. What other programs can you use for this?
Most design programs should work great with sublimation. Some of the more popular programs are Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw, Affinity, and GIMP. Sawgrass even has a free online design program called CreativeStudio that has tons of free graphics, fonts, designs, and templates (for Sawgrass users only).
@@HeatPressNation Thanks, appreciate the feedback.
Do you have to use saw grass? I have a epson 15000 on the way 😞
While we do prefer Sawgrass, you can use our mug press and blank mugs with any sublimation printer 👍.
Hi! This machine has some smell? Because I have one for another brand and the smell is horrible 😵💫
There may be a slight odor to a new heating element in any sublimation mug press. This typically burns away over time. We recommend using the press in a well-ventilated area, especially for the first couple of uses.
Can this system be used with tumblers?
Yes! To sublimate tumblers with the HPN Signature Series Mug Press (shown in this video), you will need the new HPN Signature Series Skinny Tumbler Attachment - heat.press/tumblerattachment
This video shows how to press a sublimation tumbler using both of those items: ruclips.net/video/tfdKyn46-JI/видео.html
where can i get that background pleaseeeee

I have a question...I recently bought the 15oz sublicraft mugs from your website and I’m having trouble with the image transferring on to the mug correctly...I’m using a hpn signature mug press with textprint hphr paper with premium paper settings printing with an ecotank 15000 using cosmos ink @ 385 for 190 secs with firm pressure. The image looks patchy in some areas like the ink didnt release on to the mug. Is this a pressing issue, heating element problem, or is it my printer? Hope you can help, thank you.
Since we don't carry that printer or ink, we can only provide troubleshooting tips for the heat press. If you suspect it could be a printer/ink issue, try reaching out to Cosmos Ink directly.
Here are a few troubleshooting steps to try:
- Loosen the front pressure knobs all the way. For 15oz mugs, you can use just the top pressure adjustment knobs.
- Make sure both pressure rods are extended equally in distance. Use a ruler if necessary.
- Pressure should be firm, but not too difficult to open or close.
- Make sure the mug is centered right in the middle of the heating element.
- Make sure your transfer is sitting tight across the surface of your mug, with no bubbles or gaps. Be sure to use heat tape to secure the printed transfer in place on your mug.
If you need additional troubleshooting help, please feel free to email a photo of the failed mugs to support@heatpressnation.com.
@@HeatPressNation thank you for the quick response and I appreciate the feedback. I will make these adjustments thank you once again.
Why is there never a video on how to use the mug paper, which you guys sell? It’s such a waste to print one mug design on a whole sheet of paper only to have to trim it.
Hi there! The process would be the same, you would simply select 4" x 9.5" paper vs 8.5" x 11" :)
@@HeatPressNation I didn’t know if you would load it in the printer horizontally or vertically. I called tech support at Sawgrass and they walked me through it.
