Found you. You're legends in my office. I enthusiastically described your adventure to my colleagues having seen your video about 8 years ago. Glad to see it's still here!
Inspirational footage. You obviously went to a great deal of effort to make that memorable film. Well done from Peter at 38S 145E. I want a folding bike and an inflatable boat and your level of enthusiasm.
Cool... I've had a Brompton for a few years and have been thinking about getting a packraft to do canoe type trips here in Canada. I can now think about combining the two. I think I'll start with nice flatish lakes.
I think this video is part of why I bought my Brompton, a choice I never looked back at. I have the idea to do this on Bermuda's rail trail, and use a raft instead of road bridges, to keep to the original line as much as possible. Seeing this video again is like reconnecting with an old friend -- thanks for the inspiration.
It doesn't matter how many people say that you can't paddle across a sea or cycle across a country, they're usually proven wrong. Even on loch Ness I was told I was about to die.
So glad the YT gods finally showed me this! Fantastic concept of micro adventures
Hello Al,
Excellent video... I've watched it many times and love it when Joe says "Mum Help Me..." it must have been a fun adventure.
Take care
Paul,,
