- A video i made showing some of the trackbed between Cavan Town and Inny Junction (Dundavan railway bridge) which has been recently cleared. The bridge in question is due to be demolished by Cavan County Council. Its kinda sad considering the history involved. It really shows how much interest the Irish government has had in Co Cavan over the years when you consider the fact that there is over 20 abandoned Railway stations in the County.
hi Paul
I was there the other day took some photos not much of the station platform or any thing left
I am doing my parish history, I will hope to come across bits from history, saying that if you have anything that might be of relevance that would be great two thanks kev
Hi thanks for your comment, and sorry for the late reply. I was meant to head out to the inny junction site a few weeks back but never made it. Can you tell me is there any remains from the station building left?
Paul
The audacity they have to remove surviving infrastructure is truly disappointing. You people need these railways reinstated at some point.
I thought things were listed for a reason, how can you unlist them and destroy a bit of History. very sad. I would also be interested to learn more about the Dundavans.
Just a note: the bridge is now demolished
Paul
