I used the pad and the wrap, and just chopped each end with a razor.
I think maybe shifting into 3rd without pulling in the clutch would avoid that?

Yank harder and timing. I can clutch up 1st all day. 2nd is definitely harder/scarier on a Grom.

When you shift to 3rd don’t pull in the clutch it won’t hurt the bike you don’t wanna pull the clutch in unless your coasting
