  • How to wheelie for the first time on a motorcycle.
    1. Hit the back Break
    2. Pop it up in first and learn to control the speed
    3. Get to balance point and get comfy in 1st
    4. Put er in 2nd and rev bomb and pull the wheel up and rip dank wheelies down the street

    The reason I made this is because I just I mean JUST learned how to do wheelies so I'm trying to make a perspective from a noob so I can hit on all the things I struggle with. I'm not doing coasters or hitting the 12 bar yet I'm still learning but giving info from my perspective might help someone that's a beginner as we probably have the same struggles.

    I’m getting it up fairly easy now just struggling to not chase and to actually hit balance point. When I come close to probably hitting it I go to take my feet off so I’m trying to beat it into my head using the rear brake rather than taking my feet off . I probably have to just keep practicing. 4 days is impressive. Keep it up!

    • @Corey_Vlogs
      @Corey_Vlogs  Год назад +3

      Yea man taking the feet off is scary lol. I think after the first few times you use the break your brain will just start to use it lol. I think what helped me a ton was having one foot down and one foot on the break. But you’ll get the hang of it for sure. Keep me posted on your progress 🙏🏼

      @@Corey_Vlogs dude the weird part is it’s harder for me to one foot down wheelie than it is for both feet on . I can’t keep it straight that way or something Idk

      @@xempath SAME!!! I hate doing them with one foot down I think just after 1 day I decided I couldn't do them any more lol. But it's good to learn the break but I agree one foot down is sketchy.

    I really liked the idea of starting from a stop with only a little throttle applied. Never would’ve thought of this. Lets you really feel what it feels like going backward. So if you’re struggling to commit to the wheelie, do it. Feel yourself fallin back

      @@brunos.6151 I had same struggles at first, what helped me a lot is that after I choose a RPM and pull in the clutch, add some more throttle before dumping the clutch (not by much). I added like 20% and properly shit my self when the wheel stated taking off. It still should be quick ish motion, not like pulling the clutch, measuring RPM, then dumping.
      Just pull in and instantly increase a bit by bit before instantly dumping, worked for me. Just... not by much at the time :D

    I've been on this step for a year now, I can ride mile long wheelies in any gear (Besides first because my bike is shit and it just bogs now, didn't used to, changed carb, bottom end needs to be tuned) I just cannot get myself to lean my wheelies and turn. It just seems impossible to me, sucks, but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to.

    When you use the rear brake to bring the front back down a bit are you also letting off the throttle or is the brake enough to bring it back down? Assuming youre being easy on the throttle.

    • @Corey_Vlogs
      @Corey_Vlogs  5 месяцев назад +1

      okay so after roughly a year of doing the wheelies I've realized how many things I've left out of this video. This is a VERY good question. So you are supposed to chop the throttle and let the engine brake balance you and then barely touch the brake to bring it back up. However if you are still really new to it's not bad to ride the brake a bit to get up to that balance point just know that you can cook the brake and get brake fade.

    Why are you hitting the back brake? I don’t understand what the back brake is for?

    • @Corey_Vlogs
      @Corey_Vlogs  4 месяца назад +2

      The back brake is the most curcial part of the wheelie as it is the thing that will bring the front wheel back down in the event that you are about to loop out.

    • @Corey_Vlogs
      @Corey_Vlogs  5 месяцев назад +1

      So I did roughly 6000 miles of stunts and wheelies and stuff on my klx and at that mark I had to replace my clutch I think it costs me $60. I did about 3000 miles of wheelies and clutch ups on my grom and it never gave out. IF you relase the clutch fast and don't drag it you'll be fine for 20,000 miles lol HOWEVER if you drag it then yes eventually you will be replacing it. But it takes 10 min and costs like $50
