This exercise wasn't good for me because I also have torn meniscus so the rotation of the knee was not good. I think this is a good exercise if you don't have a torn meniscus.
I'm grateful you posted this. I am in the middle of a painful, demoralizing journey to figure out what ails me; Inguinal ligament? Piriformis? ITB? Hip joint issues? I have been doing exercises that my physio/re-hab practitioners have 'prescribed', and one of these is the standard 'ankle across the knee' 'pretzel pose', both sitting and laying on the floor. I've had intermittent issues with sciatica pain over the decades, but nothing like what I'm experiencing. So thank you for this.
