Honestly if this didn't take place in front of the jury, or while court is in session I dont see the big deal. Just because you're in a court case together doesn't mean you lose humanity and want to kill each other. Even though the parents lost their child and Alex's BS disrespected the memory of those kids, they extended an olive branch so to speak, and he engaged them back.
I think a lot of human interactions would be resolved if kindness and forgiveness were allowed to play out naturally. This is why I don’t believe in suing other people even when they’ve wronged me to my core. The legal and criminal systems have no tolerance for generosity because it undermines their power. It prefers that all mercy is only bestowed by the judge or jury. If victims were able to forgive defendants then the courts start to lose power.

The parents approached Alex and offered him a bottle of water and some cough drops and then he thanked her and apologized yet again but the lawyers broke that up quickly. They couldn’t have that !! I’m sure that will be a topic for the judge this morning but she can not jump Alex about it. He did not approach the parents. They approached him !
The parents came to Alex, which I believe was a really nice gesture. The mother gave him water and he shook her hand. The father came up to him and Alex shook his hand. This was a very positive gesture. I couldn't really hear what was being said, but it sounded like he was apologizing. Can someone please tell me why the lawyer got so upset at Alex for what was a mutual positive gesture between the three of them? The lawyer didn't say anything about the parents approaching Alex, but he became angry at Alex for also engaging with them. This is not a criminal case, so I don't understand why he became so angry.

Part of the healing process for the families on display. I saw my father do something similar when he not only forgave the defendant, but personally spoke to her after she was sentenced for nearly killing him but instead paralyzing him for the rest of his life.

I was very surprised that a Court Official did not step in. Did the Judge actually say the words "Court is Adjourned" I did not hear that. Nor did I hear an instruction not to comment outside the Court, which would encompass the Court being Adjourned. Very strange arrangement.

Exactly but the ones that be, want us divided. Every time Mr. Jones and Robbies parents even got close to having meaningful dialogue, you see the lawyers pull them away like the cowards they are. This is all smoke and mirrors. It is a modern day lynching whether you support Mr. Jones or not. This case will set precedent. They keep trying to criminalize speech of political opponents, and here it is. I am not even a big supporter of Jones, but this case is weak at best, plus it is a real travesty of justice and a complete waste of our justice system. Our tax dollars are prosecuting what a man said in a country with "Free Speech". The 1st amendment is very clear. All he did was say he thought it was fake or set up by govt. This is what going against govt will get you. It is just so sad.

They tried asking him nicely to stop for years before they filed the lawsuit. Proof of their repeated requests for Alex and Infowars to stop spreading lies about the death of their son was presented as evidence earlier in the trial to prove to the jury that Alex will not stop spreading lies about the murder of their child unless someone makes him stop. It's clear all the people saying that the lawyer was wrong here and that they should've let Alex talk to them haven't been paying attention to this case or to Alex at all. There was a time when that was an option, it's only now when it looks like he's going to finally be held accountable for his actions that he's willing to offer a half hearted apology to the people who he's caused unimaginable pain to.
