there are hundreds of random rotating guests constantly going through the resort every day. they can't keep track of who is supposed to be inside or not. what you're mostly paying for is that keycard to get a room. so sleeping outside is really the only thing about your entire stay that was suspicious to anyone, and you were golden until you decided to sleep out in the open.

Ive done something similar to this. The secret was to to greet and be friendly to every employee you encounter. Once they know and appreciate you, you're home free and golden!!
Not in a cabana at night. They could've ditched the sleeping bags, gotten up before dawn, and tried getting a few more hours of sleep there during the day, but it was probably too hot for that.
Also, make friends with legit guests and hang at their table or chairs or whatever. These guys are so cute, im sure they could have found some sweet female vacationers to chill with them. But probably not the best for the video.

While working in these ultra luxurious resorts I've seen people Acting like they belong like a spoilt millionaire brat to the employees and yet being kind to them and chatting them up it's like saying "i have enough money to be a total A$$ but I'm still nice to everyone so don't push my buttons", eating free buffets at all inclusive resorts and enjoying but never getting caught because of their confidence. Heard one such guy shout at the buffet entrance "Stop asking for my room number a millionth time I'm more than a number show some respect to your guests" nobody ever asked his room number again in reality he was not a guest😂 resort staff don't get paid enough to care about it unless it's a security risk or it can backfire at their jobs. The idea of being in a luxury resort is that you get a nice room to sleep in and get to eat wonderful food. The water attractions are about the only real fun they could get out of it, and its not really fun if you do it while being tired and hungry. Having said that, they gave a free commercial to the resort, made a fun youtube watching experience for the public, and they didn't cause any damage. Kind of a cool thing they did here really.
I loved this, back in the 80's as teens, me and my friends ran away to Nassau Bahamas, and back then security was almost non-existant, no cameras etc... We lived like kings! We would go from big hotel to the next, ordering food, drinks, alot of drinks. If asked, we would just say charge it to room whatever #. We never got caught! I think it's so cool yall did this! For the diving portion at 8:15 just wanted to say I hope that gave you the itch to snorkel or dive more because the ocean is a beautiful place! Also careful around those moray eels they are always usually harmless but when they do bite the effects can be devastating.
The whole thing about this is, you're allowed to be a guest invited by friends over to your resort so they aren't automatically going to think it's sketchy.
I once took the the keywest express with my girlfriend to key west for fantasy fest. No accommodations. We slept on the beach the first night and we found a house under construction for the second 2 nights. It was exhausting but still super fun. We had plenty of money to eat well and chill in the AC for a bit during the day. Took showers at Higgs Beach and chilled in the shade until parade time. Kicked our asses though. Great video.
This reminds me of the time, back in 1983 When I was in college when a friend of mine and I took a road trip to Panama City florida, and all we had was money for gas to get there and back, a cooler full of sandwiches we made ahead of time, and about another $20-30 to buy some cheap Rum and anything else we might need. After arriving that first night, we slept in the car at a hotel and got caught and the police were called. Fortunately they just trespassed us and let us go, so we drove around afterwards and found a new neighborhood with lots of houses under construction. So, we just pulled into the garage of a house still under construction, and closed the garage door (which was open already). So Bingo! We had a place to sleep for the rest of the night, as well as for the next day. Fortunately, it was a weekend. So there were no workers that showed up both mornings. We spent the days chilling on the beach and hung out and partied at local bars on their outdoor deck, and just poured our alcohol into a plastic cup with some coke…. Had no problems getting feee refills of the coke. We then drove Home, and barely made it without running out of gas. Overall it was an exciting weekend for spring break, and cost us about $50 (including gas, food, and booze). All was decided the Friday before our trip at 3pm. It was a six hour drive, and cost approx $11 in gas each way. Gas was only about $1.09 a gallon, and my VW bug had a 10 gallon gas tank.

The 70s and 80s were a lot different you could get away with a lot since they didn't have the total camera police state like they do now. I think everything was a lot more fun back then, everyone would be in some kind of government class if you got caught with anything now. I ordered blank colored wristbands and went resort to resort in Cancun. As long as you kept your arm moving they couldn’t tell it wasn’t the resorts wristband. I just watched what color the guests wore and put that color on. It was all you can eat, all you can drink.
At Sziget festival in Hungary, I met a guy who had made his own wristband and just swam to the island. Once inside, noone took a closer look at the wristband. I asked him why, he said he was broke but wanted to enjoy the concerts. We bought him a few drinks and he told us it's people like us who make it all possible for him. I understood what he had meant after discovering he had stolen my card and my jacket.

They ask if you're guests here, "yes we just had a few too many and fell asleep here" , give them your fake practiced room number and you're good to go. For the diving portion at 8:15 just wanted to say I hope that gave you the itch to snorkel or dive more because the ocean is a beautiful place! Also careful around those moray eels they are always usually harmless but when they do bite the effects can be devastating.

I once took the the keywest express with my girlfriend to key west for fantasy fest. No accommodations. We slept on the beach the first night and we found a house under construction for the second 2 nights. It was exhausting but still super fun. We had plenty of money to eat well and chill in the AC for a bit during the day. Took showers at Higgs Beach and chilled in the shade until parade time. Kicked our asses though. Great video.
This reminds me of the time, back in 1983 When I was in college when a friend of mine and I took a road trip to Panama City florida, and all we had was money for gas to get there and back, a cooler full of sandwiches we made ahead of time, and about another $20-30 to buy some cheap Rum and anything else we might need. After arriving that first night, we slept in the car at a hotel and got caught and the police were called. Fortunately they just trespassed us and let us go, so we drove around afterwards and found a new neighborhood with lots of houses under construction. So, we just pulled into the garage of a house still under construction, and closed the garage door (which was open already). So Bingo! We had a place to sleep for the rest of the night, as well as for the next day. Fortunately, it was a weekend. So there were no workers that showed up both mornings. We spent the days chilling on the beach and hung out and partied at local bars on their outdoor deck, and just poured our alcohol into a plastic cup with some coke…. Had no problems getting feee refills of the coke. We then drove Home, and barely made it without running out of gas. Overall it was an exciting weekend for spring break, and cost us about $50 (including gas, food, and booze). All was decided the Friday before our trip at 3pm. It was a six hour drive, and cost approx $11 in gas each way. Gas was only about $1.09 a gallon, and my VW bug had a 10 gallon gas tank.
@zangin , 1.09 a gallon was cheap gas back then ,good thing you had the VW bug. The 70s and 80s were a lot different you could get away with a lot since they didn't have the total camera police state like they do now. I think everything was a lot more fun back then, everyone would be in some kind of government class if you got caught with anything now. They really did find the best way to make crime pay, along with everything else that's overpriced.

You can go into any resort, and go to the bar or restaurants if you want in Hawaii. And all beaches are public, as hotels and resorts are required to allow access.

I ordered blank colored wristbands and went resort to resort in Cancun. As long as you kept your arm moving they couldn’t tell it wasn’t the resorts wristband. I just watched what color the guests wore and put that color on. It was all you can eat, all you can drink.

At Sziget festival in Hungary, I met a guy who had made his own wristband and just swam to the island. Once inside, noone took a closer look at the wristband. I asked him why, he said he was broke but wanted to enjoy the concerts. We bought him a few drinks and he told us it's people like us who make it all possible for him. I understood what he had meant after discovering he had stolen my card and my jacket.

Could have easily gotten out of sleeping on the thing by having a room number practiced to give to people, and also just playing it cool. They ask if you're guests here, "yes we just had a few too many and fell asleep here" , give them your fake practiced room number and you're good to go. Also probably could have gotten the food the same way.
