It's one of those few games that manages to age gracefully and never surpassed but newer game even COH2 has nothing on the first

It's likely because CoH2 suffers issues with allowing people to mod it meanwhile CoH1 is a lot more graceful. The type of game both allow is very fun, however CoH1 ultimately allows the community to have more fun than CoH2, so a lot more people will create mods for CoH1, if they are competent.

I still play COH 1 with Immersion, BushMod, blitzkriegMod, Modern Combat and Battle Of the Bulge(but lagging if many tank or infantry). this interesting
Bruh all this game needs is optimization on newer hardware and architecture, it's such an amazing game that even after all these years, it is just as fun as when i first played it!

Used to do blitzkrieg alot with the boys. But always ran into desync issues to the point where we had to abandon it cause it'd ruin our games.
Same, God those issues are so annoying. I remember the good old times when blitzkrieg worked just fine in mp.

this isn't one of those mods where things die instantly because they encountered something surprising is it?
I don't mind a tougher challenge to fend off but it was a bit annoying when I look away from a unit only for it to die to something shiny
The damage model is generally more lethal with a lower time-to-kill than the base game. Combat is still quite forgiving and there is usually plenty of time to react to what is happening. We spent a lot of time balancing combat to a state where it both feels good while also being fair and fun for both sides. This concerns both infantry and vehicles.
In other words, we aim for it to be as consistent as possible with almost all instances of instant squad wipes removed from the game. This includes damage from AoE stuff like artillery and airstrikes, but also smaller explosions such as grenades rarely wipe entire squads.
Additionally, much of the frustrating randomness has been addressed. Players should now feel much more in control of both infantry and vehicle hitpoints, which in turn makes fights more readable.
The result is that combat as a whole feels more engaging, where you are rewarded for proper unit utilisation, while still being allowed to make mistakes.

Not planned for this release. However, there's considerable faction overlap in our mod. While still highly unique, a lot of unit roles, defensive structures etc, have been added to factions which would previously be considered extremely specialized. So if it's not just aesthetics you're after, but particular playstyles, it is already quite achievable to utilize ones which were much more common for allies or axis only in vanilla. Besides, it should take one a while to get fully acquainted with the new faction designs, as CW and PE are almost completely reworked and all of them are expanded. Perhaps there is no need to spice it up as hard quite as early :)
@@AGameAnx thing is I'm a dedicated brit player and some of my friends will only play Germany. So if I want to play with my friends I'm screwed every time :(
@@solreaver83 Well if you're trying out a new mod for the first time perhaps it's time for you and your friends to branch out, going to have to learn a lot of new stuff one way or another, especially considering CW are heavily reworked in our mod. I wouldn't mind adding this functionality, unfortunately it would be a pretty absurdly large amount of work for us, there's no way we can commit to it 2 weeks before release.

Next time you make a video activate Ambient Occlusion via Nvidia and some downsampling. This doesn't even look max graphics and the filters are bad.

Why would we want to directly mislead people as to how the game looks? I am pretty sure nvidia even turned off ambient occlusion for COH, so you'd have to force it through inspector (not sure if possible at all). It's possible to completely change the look of your game with injectors... That's not the point of a trailer trying to showcase features. And the person who was capturing footage for the game does not have a beastly PC to capture at doubled resolution or something, and that would also be somewhat disingenuous in my opinion. We have a few screenshots with filters and I was pretty worried people would point that out... There ARE some filters on the video, particularly on the footage from vire valley (our version of vire river valley), and a vignette effect, but they're mild and are mostly used to create a more coherent feeling for the video.

COH was always a good game and will be. but my wish is to play north african campain at least 2 parts and asian pacific campaign at least 3 parts in COH. and enough with the europe and eastern front campaigns. remastering really was not necessary for this game anyway because all the COH games graphics was very cool and smooth.
