    I got it from Amazon prime for $61.30. Bought extended 4 yr warranty for a very reasonable price then got the one year bonus year warranty Cosori offers. I love mine. BTW, there are at 3 large cookbooks for Cosori on Amazon including one with 500 recipes! And one for beginners.

    I love my Cosori! I use it quite often and have tried several of the recipes from their recipe book. I love the fact you can transport it to anywhere, plug in, and keep warm or reheat your dish. Thank you for the video. I will have to try that quinoa recipe!

    I ordered an Instant Pot and this Cosori, I Cooked Chili, Bean Soup, Chicken & Pasta, Oatmeal, Pot Roast & Rice in both at the same time, overall the Food all came out pretty much the same in both, the differences to me and the biggest reason to choose the one I ended up keeping and returning the other one was that the Cosori which is the one I kept, had all of those setting and buttons, it had a Glass lid, the Instant Pot I either had to buy the glass lid separately or pay a lot more to get one with the pot, the Cosori was $65 on Amazon, the newer Model was $95 but I did not see much difference, the Cosori overall was 10x better, in fact the review and testing I did was not even close, yes the food came out the same, but you pay more for an Instant Pot and get less with it, less options and everything, DEFINITELY I CAN SUGGEST THE COSORI PRESSURE COOKER OVER AN INSTANT POT< NOT MANY PEOPLE BUY BOTH AND TEST THEM TOGETHER< I DID! COSORI IS THE WINNER BY FAR!

    Awesome! I’ve been wanting an Instant Pot, but I need the 8quart for my larger family. The price point is a little bit of a stretch for me, but this would be perfect! And, as I’ve never had an Instant Pot brand I’m sure I won’t miss anything. I had the Power Cooker brand, but it died on me in less than a year. From the reviews I’ve read on the longevity of Cosori, I don’t see that being an issue. Thanks for your videos as always!

    This review was excellent! Top notch quality. Clear and precise. Pros and Cons listed. Showed multiple examples without making the video too long. Hit all the areas I was trying to think of in my head as I'm choosing between Cosori and Instant Pot. I would add that you could invest in a better microphone to have better audio quality to limit the echo that the kitchen produces. Thank you and keep doing videos your great at it.

    Everyone I know, over a dozen people love this cooker; but always say, "wish I would have gotten the 8 quart." Great demonstration. Cosori appears to have thought of everything, that second gasket is a real plus, those can get expensive. Thinking about getting one but I seem to be very attached to my aluminum stove top.

    first, I was going to get this pressure cooker then I ended up getting a Muller pressure cooker and I've regeted it. Nothing wrong with the Muller but it doesn't allow me to adjust the cooking temp. So it can be very challenging when you want to saute at a lower temp. Cosori allows to you adjust both pressure and temp!!!

    The 8 qt requires 2 cups of water cause its larger. The 8 qt comes with a lot more extra items and even lid is different and stronger. The inner pot is thicker and feels durable. You also get an additional year warranty . I have had two HP Pressure cookerXLs and this Cosori I feel is superior. Worth the price. I would get the 8qt. You can also...POP POPCORN USING THE GLASS LID.....AND FRY WITHOUT SPLATTER.

    Just for grins, dont video it for here, you can do a visual comparison. lay one pot on top of the other to check roundness to see if they ard the same size then you can then sit them on a flat surface and see if they are the same height. (Put a flat edge on thd top and see if they are truly the same height ) you can email me the findings if you would be willing. I try to get appliances that interchange or have similar pots. I would be willing to bet that there are not that many o-ring manufacturers out there or the pot manufacturers that go inside of these steam pressure cookers

    The instantpot sealing ring fits the cosori...I haven't tried the IP stainless bowl in the cosori yet, but my suspicion is that it also fits. ( You've probably already discovered this by now!) Thanks for the thorough walk-through...I have an IP but got a cosori also ( used, like new on Amazon... half price!!) and was faulted with assuming they were both identical in terms of operation (AKA...didn't completely read the manual🙄).

    It looks really easy to use, and love the adjustability of the cook time and pressure settings👍😁💕

  • @SteelyPaw
    @SteelyPaw 6 лет назад +5

    Nice review..... I don't like that veggie thing, a trivet with handles is better then use veggie bowl, then you can cook two things at once. The unit seems overly complicated. On the IP you can use manual for everything once you know the cooking time lol...
    If you store your pressure cooker on a shelf or on top the refrigerator like I do to get it off the cabinet, then put the cord in a toilet paper cardboard tube, works great, and if it breaks or wears out a new one is only a BM away LOL......
    The other thing I do is wipe my lid out right away while it's still wet from the steam removing the sealing ring, it's so easy to clean that way and the ring gets clean. After six months my sealing ring is still white because I wipe it down as soon as I'm done cooking while things are wet. One less thing to wash.

    Just got a Cosori this week and found your video very informative! Was wondering though why the Cosori uses 2 cups of water and the Instant Pot uses only 1 cup for cooking. Will the Cosori come to pressure if you only use 1 cup of water?

    • @IndigoNili
      @IndigoNili  6 лет назад +1

      I bet the Cosori would work fine with 1 cup of water. The manual probably just says 2 to cover their bases. 🙂 They even have recipes on their book that use less than 2 cups

    I like this review! I am concerned that you need 2 cups of water and the trivet/steamer is so tall it limits the volume of food one can cook using it. Your Broccoli looked very close to the top of the insert and no way could you make as many potatoes as you have done in your potato video. Am I missing something?

    • @IndigoNili
      @IndigoNili  6 лет назад

      I have both tall trivets and short trivets and both are useful for different things. This tall trivet would be good for cooking 2 things at once, one thing under and one on top. Short ones are good for things like potatoes like you mentioned.

  • @joecraft4409

    Great review on this Cosori. I like the flexability of this brand but the spare parts could be an issue if one damages the O-ring or drops the liner and bend's it out of shape, but it looks like these liners and the rubber O-rings could be used on either brand of the same quart size?
    It would be interesting to see you compare these as far as a O-ring from the Cosori to the instant pot O-ring and compare the pot tops for diameter sizing and depth since you have the amecquart size pressure pots. Interesting!

    • @IndigoNili
      @IndigoNili  6 лет назад +5

      I do wonder if the instant pot sealing rings and inserts would work in the Cosori... Although the manual says not to use any other brand's parts and I wouldn't recommend doing it on my channel just for the liability reasons. I always try to play it safe with pressure cooker!

  • @StacyandThomas
    @StacyandThomas 6 лет назад +1

    Something I am wondering about is how you bake, when you can't rest pans/pots on the steaming tray/trivet with the handle being in the middle. With all the videos I have watched with the IP, you can just put your container on the trivet.

    • @IndigoNili
      @IndigoNili  6 лет назад +2

      The handle of the trivet has a bolt at the bottom so you can remove it if you want to do pot in pot cooking

      The saute mode is named "Browning/fry" on this model. Also the handle on the trivet is removable for doing pot in pot cooking. I do like the IP trivet for pip better though since it's shorter and has the side handles. The Cosori trivet is better for streaming vegetables.

  • @Banagal

    Cosori cooker looks good. I think I'd miss the IP trivet because I use it for PIP cooking. It seems that option is limited due to the steamer stem in the middle. I'm curious on the rational behind the "defrost frozen meat" instructions. Thanks for the comprehensive review!

      @IndigoNili  6 лет назад +3

      I noticed that it looks like the middle stem is removable. It has a bolt on the bottom. I like how long the legs are on the trivet. 🙂 As far as the frozen meat thing... I'm wondering if it's something the manual says for liability reasons but people just disregard. I noticed in their Facebook group people talk about recipes that cook meat from frozen. Kind of like the instant pot manual says to never cook pasta or apple sauce in it. Nobody listens. Lol!

      Haha...true. I guess for those wanting to stick to the rules, they may want to plug the cooker into a power bar with a switch and just use the switch. I'm guessing the makers of the Cosori didn't want to say you can cook frozen because people might think they can just use the program butttons and not allow for more time.
