I love Wendell, I think we all do.
It will be interesting to see how much extra performance they get when paired with a 6800/6800xt/6900xt GPU, with that Smart Access Memory
excatly with their own testing showing 4% mimimum boost from linus figures from blurb
Aye. And I'm hoping I can get my hands on both before Cyberpunk is launched... My 1080 Ti is showing it's age at 1440 and VR.
This is apparently something Microsoft has been pushing, so intel and Nvidia will likely add similar at some point. But like with pcie gen4 AMD is ahead of the curve.
What will be interesting is how SAM works with an equivalent of rtx io on AMD, though they've not mentioned it yet I'm sure it will be coming at some point. SAM plus direct pcie4 SSD access could be a game changer for game asset loading and I think it is kind of what the new Xbox is doing.
Agreed. I lean toward 5900X simply for the larger L3 cache vs the 5800X.

Using Intel terminology I must say AMD has really used strong glue to glue together the new Zen 3 CPU parts.
I remember when Intel started using glue first back in 2004 , when they made 2 core CPU x 2 core CPU , mcm , and called it quad core. Lol .
Intel is a shit company , never their product.

This launch is incredible, Amd managed to exceed expectations. Even after all the hype, the train stayed on the tracks.
Significantly more ipc and clocks, same 7nm process, equal or less power consumption. Even the price increase doesn't seem so steep anymore.
