This is number one bullshit. I've had one, and other cars before and since. It was a good car for its time, but the modern equivalent has driver modes to maximise comfort or sportiness, and is therefore far better in each area. It's a different league and anyone who thinks Mercedes ride quality has gone backwards is ignoring the facts.
Good car, for an old car.

@@mrwitteridge3949 The modern Mercedes S Class with magic body control has amazing ride quality, but the modern C and E Class? It's shit mate I've had W204, W205, W212, C207. My 190e rides nicer than any of them any time, any mode any road.

Well there is i slight diverence to a modern car, compared to the newer ones.
The reason why newer cars are "slightly less in quality" is because they are made to do so.
So you can buy new parts and the cars still would be safe (in most of the cases).
The older cars are made with the knowledge of them being durable and strong, but with the downside that these automobiles are death threats no. 1, ones they've made a huge collision.
I'm not telling your right nor wrong, i'm just explaining the reasonings behind it.

Rana Gulraiz Hassan now Mercedes isn’t run by engineers anymore so they don’t care about making a highly quality product that makes people genuinely love the brand. It’s ran by businessmen who just want to make as much money as they can. In the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s Mercedes was run by engineers, and it showed in the quality and reliability of the cars they made. I’m sad to say it, but Mercedes is losing touch with what people want and just slap as much technology in there cars as they can and call it a luxury car, just like every other car company at the moment. We need Mercedes to go back to being run by engineers so that the company will survive long into the future.

edge of my seat watching, thanks. I did 126mph? kph in a 1972 3.3 liter 6 cylinder Torana on M5. It went 21.5 mph per 1,000 rpm. Tacho went 6,000 rpm and red lined until 6,500 rpm, speedo went to 120 mph. I went 500 rpm past that. I had redlined it many times as a 17 yr old and took it easily to 6,500 rpm and still reaching but I was a coward and took my foot off the gas. I reckon that beats your 190kph in the 190e. (I reckon you could have hit 200 kph eventually) a "1972" 3.3 6 cylinder Torana, 1/4 mile in 14.5seconds and 0 to 100 MPH in 19 seconds. You took me back to my Boy Racer Days, thanks again!

    • @Porsche1969
      @Porsche1969 5 лет назад +2

Quite reckless rather. Dangerous driving. Typical for underpowered cars with the urge to push early to pick up at least a bit of speed.

    This video reminds me pleasant memories! I used to have a "Baby-Benz" a few years go ("W 201" 190 E 2 L - 122 ch - 4 speed manual 4 but... "Confort").
The 4 cylinder "M 102" wasn't a master piece of music, but it ran smooth whether it is cold or hot!
Time is passing by but the 190 E doesn't know about it 😋!
    Thanks for sharing 😊!
One tip if I may? Before opening the doors or starting the engine, be careful with the keys ! They are made of soft metal so that they can break into the Neiman 😉!

It's funny for me how he sits in the car. Everytime I go for a drive in mine I always naturally adopt that position inside the car because the seats are like the sofa's you have in your home, you just rest your back in the seat and let it rip while being super confortable.
